It quit working next day. Came out and fixed something on dryer. Worked for a few weeks then quit heating. No dryer Thanksgiving week. Came out and fixed that. Maybe on that Sat. after Thanksgiving. Quit working again week of Christmas. Came out and said it was plug behind dryer that was not getting enough voltage. Also said if we did not want dryer, he would pick up and refund our money. But he thought that dryer was a good one. Electrician came out and confirmed voltage problem and replaced plug. Dryer worked one day. Electrician came back out. No problems on his end. Called A Plus back and left a message to come and pick up the dryer and refund us. That was a month ago. My Husband and myself have left several messages. NO ONE WILL RETURN OUR CALL. No response what so ever. Not sure if Debbie is giving the messages to her husband or not. He seems professional but she is an excuse maker. Now we are also wondering if our $1000. maytag dryer was really kaput or if it was the plug in the wall. We bought a new dryer the week of Christmas and have been waiting......and waiting.
I called as early as 6:30 this morning and the dispatcher Debbie called back within minutes. She was friendly and took down my information. I knew what needed to be repaired and she said she would let her technician know and he would call me back before 8 am. Shane called back before 8 and said he would try to locate the part I needed and would let me know if he could find it locally. Within 15 minutes, he called and said he had located the part and would drive to my home in Henderson. He was there by 11 am! It is about an hours drive from Diana, so I am very impressed at how quickly he could help. I am very pleased to have my washer repaired today and the professional service. He gave a breakdown of the cost of his trip, the part price, and his labor fees. No hidden surprises. I strongly recommend using their quick, friendly, and professional service!
This company is not in my local area, despite what Angie's List shows. Their location is more than 300 miles from me. I reported the possible error to Angie's List, they responeded that the company can use whatever geographic location and service they want. But for some reason I need to rate A Plus Appliance Repair Service.
They want me to rate this company even though I did not use them.
Instead of asking me for a review for services I did not use, they should revise their program with options for services not used. Also, add a spell check to these reports so misspelled words don't devalue the report.
Hopefully, this will complete the necessary report. I apologize to A Plus Appliance Repair Service for this bogus report and comments.
They came promptly and identified the problem right away. He explained how he was going to fix it and why he was doing certain things. He worked quickly, fixed it, and explained why it happened. He even cleaned the coils under the fridge for free.

Replaced a valve and it worked fine for several days then the water flow slowed to a trickle. Called A Plus and they were out the next day. The problem was the first technician had only opened the valve from the wall slightly. While not in use the pressure would build and would flow ok but by the time a glass was full it would be a trickle again. Technician opened the valve all the way. Now works great. No charge for second trip. Highly recommend A Plus Appliance Service.

He was good. We had a problem one time, but I think he remedied it, and I was happy with what he did. The work was fine. He took care of the problem without me having to follow up on it. He took care of it all the way through even though there was a different step to take, and I did not have to worry about it. I would use him again in the future if necessary.

My experience with A Plus Appliance Service Company was very good. They came in and fixed the microwave in a short time. They charged me a nominal fee. I would recommend them. I would use them again if required.

Initially called another service provider, they did not return my call for 2 days. so i went to the next provider and got immediate response that same afternoon.
Technician came over assesed the problem, game me a price and suggested that i may be better off purchasing a new washing machine due to the amount of the repair cost.
I did not want to spend any more than i had to so i instructed him to fix the washing machine. The tech informed me that it could take a couple of days to acquire the part, but fixed the machine so that i could wash on one of the cycles.
The next day the tech called and told me that he had the part and could come by that afternoon if i was available. i told him to come and he arrived within one hour.
After replacing the part and putting everything back together he explained the scope of his work and the warranty and asked me if I had any questions. I told him that I was satisfyed with the work and proceeded to ask him he might know why my dryer was making the noise like a missing bearing. I told him that I had taken the machine apart myself, cleaned it out and checked all of the tumbler wheels and that everything, including the belt looked OK. The tech got his tools out again, took the machine apart and I think he oiled the tumbler wheels. THE NOISE WENT AWAY, HE PUT HIS TOOLS UP AND THANKED ME FOR THE BUSINESS!
NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL and quot;CUSTOMER SERVICEand quot;!

They charged an estimate on both but I thought they shouldn't have since they did repair one of the units. They did do a good job.

When my dryer died, I joined Angie's List because I had no idea who to call. At the top of the list was A Plus Appliance Service. I called the number, explained the problem, and Jose arrived with a used but nearly new dryer that worked perfectly. Jose performed the work in a genial manner. I recommend A Plus Appliance Service.

The refrigerator was only 6 years old and we paid a couple thousand dollars for it. We had to pay $70 for the service call. He just looked at it and didn't take the back off or anything. He came out right away, which was the most positive thing about it. He was a nice man. We would probably not call him again.

I use the list to get good service at good prices. I would not use again because it was just mediocre. Called to have my dryer inspected, they first said 30 mins then, called back and said an hour. That was ok. They came out and inspected the dryer there was something that had fallen down the vent into the fan area that was causing the dryer not to start. They wanted 139 to remove the item. That was a little steep for no real labor or any parts being replaced. We said we could pay for the 65 service charge and we could remove the item. He did then jump down to 100. That’s an ok price, but I feel that no work was really done. I could understand if the belt or fuse or motor had gone out, but just removing an item. It's a bit to high priced to use again. We asked if there would be a warranty and he stated since no parts were replaced that he could not warranty anything. How about warranty your diagnosis and work performed.
Response from A Plus Appliance Repair Service
"the reason the price was like it was is because there was a bottle of paint that was in machine. the technician had to clean inside and and the dryer was fine. there is no reason for warranty on cleaning the machine if the paint get into the parts on the machine and need to be replaced then yes there's a warranty. If the machine has other issues we do warranty the services already done. sometimes customers misunderstand what it takes to for things to be done right. we could have went overthere like some companies do and put a part for no reason. we did not do that. we cleaned up the mess to prevent any other problems. sorry if customer was not satisfied."

I highly recommend A Plus Appliance service for out-of-warranty appliance diagnosis and repair. My refrigerator stopped cooling on three different occasions over a span of about 6 months. A Plus diagnosed the problem as a blocked air return duct the first time and had me turn off and defrost the freezer and refrigerator, which seemed to solve the problem. The second time the fridge stopped cooling, I went ahead and defrosted the whole thing myself, despite having been careful not to block the flow of air. However, the THIRD time the cooling stopped was at the beginning of Thanksgiving week and I was at my wits' end. A Plus monitored the operation of my refrigerator over the course over several days and determined that the defrost control module was faulty, ordered a replacement, and installed it. He was at my house at least four times Thanksgiving week, and took several calls from me as well, but only charged me for one service call. I appreciate this company's responsiveness and honesty and will happily use their services again in the future.

Shayne impressed me. His response time to my call was unprecedented...and in all fairness probably couldn't be matched again. That it happened to be a Saturday meant that the repair took longer than it might have because the part was unavailable in the afternoon, but certainly he hustled to get the job done as quickly as possible. Most of all I was impressed by the fact that I don't know squat about dishwashers. He could have very easily installed the computer board, discovered his mistake and upped he cost by saying the machine also needed a control panel. Shayne has been repairing major appliances in Houston for many years, but he's new to San Antonio. Give him a try. He's a nice guy and honest service people should be encouraged.
