I did use Ray, who is the owner. He was wonderful. I hired him to do another job and he took my money and I haven't heard from him since. His phone is off. I am wondering if he is in business. I gave them jobs to do because he was hurting for money. I'm surprised that they are still in business. The phone number that I had for him is off. The owners name is Ray Waters. I was able to give him a key to the house that I wasn't living in and he returned the key. I didn't have any problems the first time. Ray said that he would do the yard work and clean up the shingles. I offered to pay him and extra $100 to get rid of the slate. He didn't finish any of the work. I paid him to re-wire a light in my basement, locks, a heater that he never put in. I gave him $1000 for materials and I got nothing. I haven't talked to anybody because I have no contracts or proof of things. He has not tried to contact me. It was all done on the phone. Most of the time I paid him in cash. I found him through Angie's List. I gave up on him. His phone is back on and he still refused to call me back. I offered to work with him. It's a bad situation. I would not use him again.

When I found out Waters Electric would upgrade my electrical service for $700 I was skeptical. I spoke with the owner, Ray, and he explained everything he does with the replacement. He came on time and was very professional. Not only did he upgrade the service for $700, but he did things most electricians don't include with their service such as instlling plastic conduit over the wire going up the side of the house. I was very happy with the entire experience. Ray is now the first person I am going to call for work on my investment properties. <br />

I used him twice. The first time he came in, he did a good job. The next time I used him, I paid him but he didn't really provide all the things he was supposed to provide. He was supposed to come back to give me some side light on the side walk but he didn't come back and do that. He didn't do what I contracted him to do. He did replace an electric meter for me but that really wasn't what I had asked him to do. He even removed something from the front of the house. He said that it was defective and I never heard from him again. I was very disappointed with him. He may have moved because I think he was moving when I used him. His name is Rey Waters and he is a registered home electrician. I was not very pleased and not happy with him. He didn't follow through and that's not professional to me. The worst thing was that he didn't even respond to me just to say sorry. There's this part that it's my fault because I paid him before doing the work. I should have let him finish the work before paying him so it was partly my fault.

I hired him for my mothers home. He was running a bit late becuase of another appointment but when he arrived he got straight to work. He fixed the issue in a temporary fashion and said he could come back with a whole solution if we were interested. The problem was the wireing to the front light was shorting and eventually blew the fuse. The wireing would need to be replaced to fix the entire issue but we decided just to disconnect it for now. He charged extra for a same day visit but we decided that is what we needed becuase there were other lights on the fuse and we didn't want to live in a dark house. <br />

Had a problem with one GFI plug in lower level, when it tripped it took out the power in all four bathrooms as well as garage. We called Ray late Friday afternoon. Saturday morning he returned call. He took the time to explain what he could do and quoted his cost. 30 minutes later he was at our door. 2 hours later he was finished and we no longer have a problem. In this day and age it is very refreshing to have a tradesman respond to a call as quickly as Ray did and have the work completed in a professional manor. When Ray was finished he double checked all he had done and explained in terms that I could understand. That was certainly appreciated. The year warranty was cream on top. I would recommend his services to anybody and have already recommended him to my brother in law for a ceiling fan install. <br />

I sent an email to A Plus late in the week, and they were able to come out the following Monday. I thought the price was great for what I had done, and I was very happy with the work. Would definitely use again, and will for my next electrical project. <br />

Ray was easy to get a hold of and responsive. He was always polite and courteous, and did his best to keep to a schedule. His work seems to be good (still need a final inspection, but passed the rough in). He's a friendly guy, and nice to work with. His prices are phenomenal. <br />

Ray answers his calls right away. His estimates are reasonable ,and he works very quickly and carefully. We felt things were done right, and they certainly looked good ,when he finished. He was patient, listened to me when I described what I thought was needed. Besides that, he gave us good advice about the lighting possibilities and products out there on the market. <br />

I called Ray per his Angie's List special, and he gave me a quick quote. We wanted him to do the work, and he was able to fit us in, and we scheduled an afternoon appointment later on that week. On the scheduled day, he called to give us a heads up that he was delayed a bit because he was still working on his morning job, but it wasn't a problem for us. When he came, he and his assistant worked hard to get the everything swapped out. He stayed until 11 p.m. to make sure the job was finished. We were very impressed with his dedication and work ethic. They did a great job cleaning up, and we would not hesitate to call him again. <br />

Found Ray from Angie's List reviews. Wow, we were not disappointed at <br /> all. Ray was very quick to get the job done. We had a new 200 amp <br /> service completed. The setup required a separate disconnect outside. <br /> We also had a new sub panel and new outlet for laundry done as Ray <br /> recommended for our out of code existing wiring. I have worked with my <br /> brother who was an electrician before he passed away, so I am familiar <br /> with electrical practices and code. <br /> Our 200 amp service was not <br /> the easiest to complete. Ray and his assistant were absolutely <br /> phenomenal, professional, and trustworthy. Ray went out of his way to <br /> make sure the other wiring was safe and up to code. He replaced some <br /> box covers at no charge and "cleaned up" some other things. He charged <br /> us exactly what he quoted us. <br /> Service panels should be a work of <br /> art that the electrician takes pride in. Clearly Ray feels the same <br /> way. The guys cleaned up after themselves, and left nothing for us to <br /> finish. Ray and his assistant were very down to earth guys that have <br /> left a tremendously good impression. I called Ray around 9:30 pm and he answered the phone right away. I told him several lights had been flickering and when I had gone downstairs I discovered that the breaker box was emitting a burning smell. He said he would be right over. Ray arrived shortly thereafter and diagnosed the problem - Two bad breakers with loose tabs which caused arching and heated up the buss bar. Since the service cable was old and the panel had burnt buss bars it was necessary for these to be replaced. Ray did not have the components necessary to do the repair that evening. I told him that I had plans to go on vacation the next morning and now wondered if I could go at all or for it to be delayed (fortunately this all happened the evening before I had left). He said he would come back first thing in the morning to do the work so that I could leave for vacation but made sure it would be safe before he left. And, if I did notice any more burning to call him right away (which I did not). Ray and his co-worker arrived by 7 am and performed the work. In addition, Ray also installed a new light fixture in the kitchen (ironically, I had called him earlier in the day (mid-afternoon) to do this work but he was so swamped that he could not fit me in, which I understood completely and it was not an emergency. So, I had already found his company off of Angie's List at that time). Anyway, all the work was finished well before noon and it was now safe to leave for vacation. Ray was extremely nice as well as professional and I am very thankful that he could help me, even though he had a long day. Ray and his co-worker made sure everything was cleaned up when they left. I would not hesitate to call him again (and intend to do so since I already have another job for him to do).

Ray was very nice on the phone--I wasn't sure he'd be willing to make the trek on up to our area from Carnegie, but he was not only willing but seemed happy to do so. In person, Ray was professional, very nice, and was very thorough in explaining what had happened and what would fix things. We were very pleased with the work, the professionalism, and the speed at which he was able to do the work. We'll definitely keep him on our contact list in case we have any electrical work in future...

He performed the work well that I asked him to do, and then went over and above by helping me out by replacing a light bulb. He was flexible on my payment options. I will definitely use him anytime I need an electrician.

Ray came out for an estimate and was able to start promptly. He did our living room lights for us, then our master bedroom lights, then the bathroom lighting, and finally under the cabinet lighting. During this process we found some other things we wanted done and he was able to do them for us in a timely manner. He added a plug to our basement, provided power to our shed, and installed an over-the-range microwave in our kitchen. As I said, we are very happy with the finished result of everything and would recommend Ray to anyone.

Ray Waters did a fantastic job. This is a part of a very long ongoing total renovation, so time / schedule was not a major concern of mine, but some nights Ray would be working til 10 or 11PM to get things done - he is amazingly dedicated and hardworking. He is friendly, and offered lots of advice and information as I did much of the replacement wiring myself, which he respected but also felt obligated to warn me about certain safety concerns and provided tips on how to do things easier once the walls are up and I am installing receptacles, switches, and fixtures. I learned things from Ray, and that was just a free bonus that I was thankful for. Ray's work is quick but he did an amazing, high quality job that passed inspection. The new lines he ran were positioned with care to utilize existing holes from old knob and tube runs where possible. He stapled wire cleanly and securely. He listened to my concerns and instructions / input. Ray was very responsive via phone and text messaging. I highly recommend A Plus Quality Electric.
