2/19/16: Dryer stopped heating on Wednesday morning, we called Wednesday afternoon, Jeff came out Friday. Nicest guy in the world, checked out everything in the dryer, and gave us an estimate. We'd had the same part replaced by Sears (under warranty) about 4 1/2 years ago. That guy bent up a bunch of stuff inside to avoid taking the dryer apart. Jeff took the whole thing apart (I was able to clean it all out while we was working!), and finished in a little over an hour. Charged less than Sears would have years ago. Really honest, really personable. Loved our cat who tried to help. 11/26/16: Our dryer stopped working, and we called Jeff again. Again, he came out, took it apart, found the belt was broken and changed it in about an hour. Cost less than I expected - again! Thank goodness for Jeff and Appliance Experts.

Jeff was very professional. He was very clear on the pros and cons of fixing the dryer, versus buying a new one. He even came late in the day to fix the dryer rather than have us be without a functional dryer for several more days. Great service!
Jeff really knows appliances. Our oven was not heating properly and virtually unusable. As we had a double oven, we had the time to get several bids (over the phone after describing the problem). Most of the folks we spoke to diagnosed the problem as a much more expensive repair. Jeff did not. He came out and fixed it without upselling us a more expensive fix.
Found him to be no nonsense and very experienced. Will give you the easiest solution and not try an sell you on a more expensive repair or replacement.
Would not hesitate to use him again.
Came to assess a non functioning refrigerator. Diagnosed as a worn out compressor. He was knowledgeable that the part was still under a warranty even though the Kitchen Aid extended warranty people were extremely unhelpful on the phone. Due to his persistence, we got through to the company and convinced them to ship me a new compressor for free. He then installed it, saving me the hassle and extra expense of getting a different, more expensive repair service contracted by the company, or giving up and buying a new one.We had used this service before earlier and the guy recognized the problems we had.He was extremely prompt, did an excellent job, and had a great sense of humor.Highly recommended!

This review is long, long overdue. So long ago, I can't remember the date or the cost.
I was extremely impressed with Jeff. He arrived within a couple of hours of when I called - right when he said he would.
He diagnosed the problem right away and gave me an estimate that turned out to be the EXACT charge.
And the dryer has been working perfectly ever since.
What more could I expect? I would recommend him and call him again in a heartbeat
I feel terrible that it's taken me so long to submit this report, because I was so happy with my experience (and I'd told the owner, Jeff Wade, that I was going to when he left the house!). Anyway, I've dug up my invoice and here I go: In Dec. 2009, my oven stopped working. I'd run it through a clean cycle right before then. I called Appliance Experts and a couple of other companies that I found on Angie's List, and ended up going with Jeff because his estimate of $180 and his availability worked well for me. He came by and took a look, and initially decided that a part called the "thermal limit switch" was damaged and would need to be replaced because it could not be reset. I agreed to the work, but the next day I got a call from him and he said that he'd been doing some research and that he believed that he could just reset the switch after all, thus saving me the cost of a new part. He came back out very quickly and was able to fix it after all. My oven has been working flawlessly since (now over a year later). My bill ended up being $119.35. I would definitely call Appliance Experts again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others.

My wife managed to get some pantyhose caught around the bottom of the agitator in our top-loading high efficiency washer. I couldn't figure out how to remove the agitator and called Appliance Experts. Jeff came out the next day. It was a simple job for him and he charged us only for the basic service call. My wife was very happy with promptness, courtesy, technical ability, and cost.

He is very experienced, organized, professional, clean, and thorough. He will get as much information regarding the appliance and the potential problem and will come as prepared as possible with the appropriate part in hand. Once the problem is diagnosed he will discuss the repair options with you and let you know the cost for them prior to doing any work. Before he leaves he will be sure that the work area as clean or cleaner than it was when he first arrived. I will continue to use him for any appliance repairs and refer others to him as well.

Jeff is a great guy and he did an outstanding job. He is very professional in his work and very thorough in his explanations. He has full respect for other peoples' time and works extremely hard to accommodate others' schedules. The work that Jeff did for us literally saved us thousands of dollars as we would have to had to replace an oven / microwave combination. He was persistent in trying to find the source of the problem and even came out twice. I highly recommend Jeff. My only worry is that he will get too busy!

This person was very professional and conscientious. He showed up on time and did an excellent job of troubleshooting in order to save us the money of replacing the whole oven.

I called three different companies on a Thursday and Friday to get quotes from. One never returned my call, one said "No" and that was his entire side of the conversation when I asked if they service KitchenAid appliacnes, and one (Jeffrey at Appliance Experts) was very friendly and helpful over the phone. He offered to schedule an appt for the following Tuesday. Once I informed him that I was selling my home and closing was in one week, he offered to work late in the day Saturday so he could make sure he had time to order parts if necessary. He offered to do this even though he didn't know yet that I found his business on Angie's List (and of course would be posting a review afterwards). The next day, he showed up on time, was very thorough, fixed the problem and even fixed another minor issue for no charge. He cleaned up after himself as well. He came across as very trustworthy - in fact I had no problem going outside on multiple occasions with valuables including my wallet next to him on the counter. The work and service was top notch. The price was very reasonable. Appliance Experts gets my highest recommendation.

We had called them earlier in the day, but they were very busy. They came out after hours at about 7:30 pm. They were quick and helpful. They were simply awesome.

Jeff returned my call within an hour and made an appointment for the next day - a Saturday at 5pm! He called shortly before to confirm his arrival and arrived on time. He was polite and, unprompted, took care to cover his shoes before entering the house. He immediately diagnosed the funny noise from the refrigerator/freezer as a stuck arm on the icemaker. It was simply a matter of clearing an icecube away. He also bled the water line of air, waited for the icemaker to recycle and talked with me about other possible problems with the particular unit I owned and best preventative measure. He didn't make me feel like the idiot I was for not figuring out the problem myself! I would use him again and recommend him based on his demeanor, knowledge, and responsiveness.

He was smart, focused and very efficient in fixing all repairs while still having time to instruct me in basic maintenance I could be doing myself to save money and future repair visits.

We were very happy with both visits. Jeff is very professional, conscientious, and very knowledgeable. He was careful to put a mat down before pulling out our refrigerator. (another repair man we had pulled it out and damaged our floor) Jeff explained and showed us exactly what the problem was, what he had to do to fix it and demonstrated that it was fixed after the necessary parts were installed. It was obvious that Jeff knew our GE Profile very well and gave us great advice. We will definitely call Jeff again!

Our dishwasher was running longer than normal and we noticed that the dishes were not dry at the end of the wash and drying cycle. We were debating on whether or not to replace the dishwasher as it was five years old, but decided to have it looked at first. Based on the review of Appliance Experts on Angie's List, we contacted Jeff, owner of Appliance Experts. Jeff charged $50 for an onsite call to diagnose the problem. He determined that it was just a defective heating element. He ordered the part, made a return visit to install it, and the dishwasher works as good as ever. Jeff set up his appointments with us with an hour window when he would arrive. He arrived when he said he would. He was delayed a bit on the second call, but called to adivse us he was running late which we appreciated. He is pleasant to work with and very reasonably priced. We will defininely go back to him on any future appliance repairs.

Overall, things went great. I noticed that my dryer was not generating heat, then searched Angie's List for someone to take a look at the dryer. Jeff tried to help me through the process of resetting a switch in the back of the dryer, which often resolves this type of problem. I'm not terribly handy so I asked him to please come out and perform the diagnostics himself and he agreed. When resetting the switch did not resolve the problem, he performed more tests until he felt confident that he'd determined the source of the problem. He called a couple distributors to get quotes on the replacement part and then let me know how much it would cost to replace the part. The cost was too great in terms of a percentage of the cost to replace the dryer, given its age, so I decided to replace the dryer. Jeff was extremely thorough and professional. He had slip on coverings for his shoes to make sure he didn't track in any mud on a rainy day. I'm not sure if most people do that but it struck me as being very respectful and professional and I appreciated it. While I hope my new dryer lasts a long time, I won't hesitate to call Jeff if there's a problem with it.

My wife called yesterday to set up a service call today (Saturday). He was punctual. Said he'd be here between 2-4PM and arrived around 2:45 or 3PM. Same professionalism as our 12/7/09 experience with our refrigerator. He took time to run our washer and it ran fine so there was no need for repair. We were fine paying for a service call since he was so punctual. Unfortunately, we're getting all too familiar with Appliance Experts (too many appliance problems in general), but we wouldn't call anyone else at this point.

Our refrigerator wasn't cooling. We called the day before and Mr. Wade showed up next day. He is located in Bremerton, but does a lot of work in Seattle. Day of service, Mr. Wade showed up at door and immediately put on shoe covers. He was extremely polite and professional. He performed his work efficiently. He gave us the discount from the Angie's list coupon. He had to replace the control board and did this all in the same visit. It was a very good and painless experience.

Especially considering our stupidity, it went very well. They fit us in quickly, and Jeffrey Wade came promptly, with a check in call about half hour before to say he was on the way. He put booties on as he came in the house, something I really appreciate on these muddy days. He was thorough, patient, and charged only for the service call when he found that we just hadn't hit the reset button after cleaning the filter (We thought turning the dishwasher off and on did the trick.).

Couldn't be happier - Jeff was great, he did a great job, and he gave us some excellent money saving advice on purchasing a new clothes washer - front end washers may be water efficient, but they are constant repair hassles vs. top loaders that are cheaper and much more reliable in the long run. I'd recommend Appliance Experts to anyone; this is the appliance repair fellow I've been hoping to find for years.

Our dishwasher drain stopped working; we thought it was the pump so we called a couple of repair companies. I appreciated that Jeff tried to walk me through possible repair steps on the phone to avoid the cost of a visit. We still needed a repair so we scheduled a time with him. The first available appointment was in three days, but we decided to go ahead since they charge only $50 for a diagnostic fee and then you decide if you want to proceed with the work (as opposed to other companies that were $150 per hour). Jeff came as scheduled and determined the problem was with the drain (not mechanical with the machine). Even though this was out of the scope, he helped my husband resolve the problem and only charged us the $50 diagnostic fee.
