Highly Renovated

Mr. Valentine Carmago of Arcadia Pool on initial visit said they normally don't do vinyl pool liners but assured me they were qualified to put a new liner in our 15 by 27 oval pool. He said the estimated the Vinyl Liner replacement cost would be $3800 and they would add sand and prepare bottom to preclude rocks poking etc. We agreed company could add cost if parts were needed. We signed a contract for that amount and We paid $1900 (1/2) up front). On Monday 18 Des 2023, Arcadia pool Crew successfully drained pool and removed old pool liner and disposed. Crew repaired and replaced corroded section of steel pool wall around skimmer box and installed new skimmer. Company Chief Installer, Mr Carrago, explained he couldn't guarantee the pool wall and we agreed. Super job on wall repair and new skimmer box installation. However, the new pool liner replacement went off the rails as it appears the company installed the wrong size liner and the end result cannot be used. They conducted no sand floor preparation before the installation of the liner. The design indicates the liner is not properly aligned and the large hanging flaps and overlaps of vinyl on the bottom and pool walls will preclude adding water and using the pool. Both my wife and I expressed our displeasure in the end result and that we would have to have a redo and we had already ordered a replacement liner, but no action was taken or proposed by Arcadia or Mr. Carago to rectify the issue other than we could pay them more to install the replacement liner we ordered. . They just wanted to know when we could pay them the remainder which we did the following day on 19 Des 2023 and Still no proposed fix. We paid $$4300 to have a pool liner box and skimmer replaced and they did not complete the job so we can move forward. I don't believe they had the expertise in vinyl pool liner replacement to provide a usable end product. We bought and ordered the correct liner and will have to pay another company to take the shoddily installed liner out and replace it with the correct liner. Arcadia pool made no offer to return any of the cost for the wrong liner or the labor cost of the liner replacement that we will have to redo. They just walked off and left us hanging. Very unsatisfied. We have photos of the supposedly finished installation showing major folds and flaps and wrinkles of vinyl liner indicating a faulty and unusable installation. The fact no sand was added to pad the pool bottom indicates a total lack of focus on customer satisfaction and the company acceptance of the final result speaks for itself.
