Craig continues to be informative, thorough and professional, even after his work was done. We needed a structural engineer and he came highly reccommended. This was foreign territory for us, not to mention a touch daunting. Craig drew up our house plans, appointed contractors, dealt with city permits, and followed up each step of the way. Craig's credentials, as well as his bedside manner, have rendered us very pleased. His experience, savvy, and accessibility will be appreciated by any homeowner looking to further invest in their most valuable asset.

I found Craig to be a man of his word. He kept appointments, returned calls, stuck to a budget, and educated me well on the process and timelines. His interaction with the various contractors I hired educated them and resulted in a very high quality outcome. I will definitely use Craig again.

The whole project completed about 1 month later than what we planned. But it was the sub contractors fault.

I needed more space. I am a single mother with a son in college and 2 teenage daughters. My home was a fairly typical 50’s ranch style with 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. The lot is small and recent planning regulations had diminished the buildable area of the back yard considerably. A couple of designers had told me that I could not get a new Master bedroom suite with a full bath and walk-in closet without adding a second story. That cost was beyond my budget. A contractor friend referred me to Craig Young and his company, Architecture and Engineering Associates. Craig had gotten some very specific information from the City before our first meeting. He showed me how he could accomplish my goals by economically reconfiguring the current floor plan and adding new construction in the available space at the rear. I was amazed! The new master suite was much nicer than I had expected and the interior of the existing space opened up and became much more useable and attractive. In addition to preparing the plans (structural engineering and energy efficiency report), he also represented me to the City. His plans were apparently quite thorough as they were examined and approved in less than 2 hours! He assured me that this is very rare but I think it was amazing. Craig was easy to deal with. He kept his appointments, returned calls, and did it all with a great attitude. He did what he said, when he said, for the price he said. My kids each have their own rooms and are very happy. I am thrilled with my new Suite and privacy. We all enjoy the open space and ease of use of the re-created kitchen, dining, living, and laundry space.

My family and I are so blessed to have personally met and worked with Craig Young. At the first meeting with him, we knew that we were in good hands. Craig is a true professional because he is so knowlegeable from his past projects and he is such a cool guy to talk to, period. He knew exactly what we wanted with our family room/covered patio/walk-in closet addition, and he knew exactly how he was going to accomplish the task. We were so impressed by his vision and his confidence with the overall project. It was certainly unique and a pleasant surprise that he had his assistant (intern) Danny with him on board with designing and giving input. <br /> Craig was with us every step of the way. When it was time to submit plans and go to the City, he was with us to pull all required permits. It was very comforting to have always have him available during such a seemingly daunting process. He always checked on us to see how things were and if there was anything we needed help with. He would always stop by our house to get updated on all the work and to make sure everything was on schedule. <br /> We are now making our final preparations to make the move and settle into our beautiful new home, thanks to Craig. He is literally the architect of our lovely and spacious Upper Hastings Ranch place, and it wouldn't have been possible without him. We will be forever grateful to Craig.
