ARI Concrete professionals will talk fast, work fast, and then leave you to deal with their mess and poor craftsmanship.
It has been a year since I worked with ARI and overall I would not recommend them for any of your next construction needs.
They work without permits (BUYER BEWARE!). The concrete already has micro-cracks developing after one year and the deck is beginning to warp.
After the deck and parking pad were finished, I received a 'stop work notice' from Baltimore City. ARI had convinced me it was unnecessary and that the permits were only for larger construction jobs. I'm a first-time homeowner and this was my first time dealing with a major construction on my home. I sure learned a lesson about construction and city code after working with ARI, as I had to do everything on my own after dealing with the unwillingness of them to help me.
In order to avoid thousands of dollars in fines, I needed to get a retroactive permit with design plans for the deck and parking pad. ARI was very unhelpful, taking months to get back to me, and eventually gave me improper design plans to submit to the city permits department. I had to then work with a proper draftsman and construction engineer to design the plans to submit to the city. The city permits eventually (after months of back and forth to the permit office) accepted the plans, even though they were not entirely up to deck building code.
After all of this, I learned that ARI has a failed rating from the local Better Business Bureau, yet Angie's List still allows them to be on the website. They may have a good rating on here and that's why I contacted them in the first place. However, please learn from my mistakes and avoid ARI. They will burn you and leave you with the problems.

This job is spectacular! We are so thrilled!

We bought this house with a 30 year old pool. In 12 years we have done nothing to make our back yard look good. This was a major decision and huge financial commitment for us. We called the top rated company in the area- we were not taking any chances.

I contacted ARI and spoke to Ari. He came out and identified all of the problems with my pool deck without me telling him first. He even told me of major things I had not thought of- drainage!

Ari walked us through selection of color and patterns for the deck. He also advised us of the right design for replacing our old retaining wall.

This job took about 10 days. We added a wooden fence as well as some grading and the prices for these adds was very reasonable.

The result is a stunning masterpiece. I cannot say enough how happy we are.

Originally I had Ari and his crew replaced my old cracked concrete in the back of my home in South Baltimore. Everything went as planned and the work was done in timely professional manner, even putting a curb in between my house and the next door neighbors. I put a very complimentary review on here.
After the snow we had melted in March, I just happened to notice there where cracks in the concrete. There is one crack that is approximately six feet long. There are two other cracks one next to the fence pole and one further down. All the cracks originate from the curb.
I knew there was a three year warranty on the concrete that they brag about on ARIConcrete.com, so I did not think there would be any problem getting this fixed. Boy was I wrong. It has now been almost two months since I contacted ARI about this problem. Nothing has been done.
Below is a timeline from the time I originally called ARI about the problem:
March 11: Called ARi about cracks. He had Killian call me back. Killian said he would stopped by the next day and look at the problem. He said he would call me before he came over so I could meet him at my house to discuss the problem and see what could be done.
March 12: I called Killian at approximately 3 o'clock, because I never heard from him. "Oh I am at your house looking at the cracks now". OK. I specifically said I wanted to be there, but OK. This is last time I have spoken to Killlian.
March 14: I sent ARI an email asking what can be done to straighten out the problems I am having with my concrete
March 19: I didn't hear back from Ari or Killian, so I called Ari. I did speak to him and he explained what happened to the concrete. Water got underneath and in the fence poles and froze over the wintertime and than thawed and this is why cracks formed. He said they would put concrete inside the fence posts and something about scraping and filling in the cracks. I really did not understand the whole procedure, but then again I am not the concrete expert Ari is. Ari did say he would stop over in a couple days and speak to me about what would be done to correct the problem.
April 1 (yep April Fools day) I called Killian left message. I called Ari and left message. Ari did send me an email stating what exactly needs to be done to get the concrete fixed, including sealing the cracks. Ok great we are getting some where.
April 7: I wrote Ari back with some no brainer questions. Are you sure the sealing will work? What happens if more cracks occur next winter? Are you sure the water is from the fence posts? Don't you think Killian and his crew should of filled in the fence posts last year?
Finally, do you know when your crew will be able to do this?
April 21: Emailed Ari about above questions because I never heard back.
May 7 Called Ari. Crickets. Nothing.
I know Ari and his crew or busy but I would think that fixing my problems would take priority.
My experience and opinion. If there are problems and you have paid him A R I Concrete Construction Inc. isn't coming back. That three year warranty is just lip service.

I called ARI Concrete and immediately talked with the owner Ari. I explained to him that my driveway at the garage entrance has sunk by about 5 inches. Which means that when pulling into the garage, it was like driving over a curb. Ari explained that many of the original builders, especially in my area, did not properly install the driveway with a proper base of stone, wire mesh, etc. I live in the River Hill section (Pheasant Ridge) of Columbia where many driveways are like mine. Ari came out a few days later, within minutes of our appointment, and explained the entire process, and his cost was very competitive. I had two other quotes which were significantly higher. Ari was most knowledgable. His crew did a great job, very hard working, quiet, polite. His onsite manager, Killian was very pleasant to work with, and kept me abreast of all activities on a daily basis. They started breaking up the old driveway on a thursday, and the driveway was completed on the following Monday. They built a temporary ramp for us, so it easy to get out of the front door, since the walkway to the front door was also being replaced. I cannot get over the quality of the new driveway. When neighbors pass by, I always get compliments on the driveway. I am very very happy. If you need a new driveway, ARI Concrete will do a fantastic job.

I met with Ari in mid August to go over the work that needed to be done. I traveled from 100 miles away and met Ari at the house. He arrived when he said he would which is a behavior that's very important to me. I reviewed the work that needed to be done. During the course of our conversation I found them to be very professional, professional and extremely knowledgeable. The next day I had an estimate, I reviewed his estimate with others that I have gotten with my sister-in-law and we agreed that the work that airy propose to do was much more to our liking. We scheduled a start time and date with Ari, he arrived on that day at that time and his company did an outstanding job of repairing the severely damaged wall, steps and dain leading to the basement door. He ensured that the connection to the sump was more than adequate to handle the drainage and he also repaired the drainage from the downspout on that side of the house.

I had a chance shortly after completion to view the work done by Ari Concrete Construction. I found the work to be outstanding and even better than I had envisioned. I would highly recommend that if you have concrete work to be done do not hesitate to contact Ari Concrete Construction I know I will. My sister-in-law now has peace of mind knowing that her basement will no longer flood and the work that was done was of value add to her home.

In short; excellent.
Arrived early and ready to work the first day. Everything was completed to our satisfaction and timely. We were very happy with Ari and Killian's professionalism and flexibility. They even worked with our fence contractors to get some fence posts in.
This was a complicated job and not just a simple concrete pour.
They gave us updates along the way, talked about a short delay because of weather but then worked through the weekend to make up for lost time. Overall I am very happy with the work and the price, and I am confident that the concrete will outlast most of the other household investments.

From the very punctual and pleasant original quote, though the work and onto completion of the project, ARI has been a great company to deal with. Very fair pricing, courteous and knowledgeable staff (and I might add, hard working 10-11 hours a day), organized workflow and superior workmanship. Ari and his staff (yea Killian!) went above and beyond to complete my rather complicated project. Always willing to listen and offer just the right perspective and advice, they were instrumental in helping bring my vision to life.

Bottom line is this: I have dealt with many contractors over the years and can honestly say that ARI and the boys were amongst the best I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Thanks again fellows ? looking forward to calling you for my next project.

I was able to get an estimate quickly from the owner. The estimate for equivalent work (compared to other estimates I received) was roughly $1000 dollars less. When I explained how I wanted to use the space, he recommended an increase from a 4 inch to 6 inch slab with additional reinforcement for a small increase in cost (~$300). The work was able to be performed ahead of the scheduled date - the owner indicated that this was a possibility if work could be initiated with short notice.
The work crew was polite and was able to help move items out of the garage to ready the space for the breakup and pour. All generated debris was cleaned up and removed. The work was complete in 2 days.
The finished product looks great and appears to be very durable. It was consistent with what was explained to me and has all ready withstood multiple impacts from heavy weights (~700 lbs). I was very happy with both the service and product and would hire this company again.
The only rating element above that I was unsure of was responsiveness, simply, because I had to call twice to get my initial reply. However, the subsequent service was outstanding so I did give an A under this section as well
The entire project was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely call upon Ari and his team again. Ari came out to our place and reviewed all the options with us, and explained what should be done, and how the project would go. Once we made a decision based on his estimate, he promptly scheduled our job. Killian Goldberger led the team throughout the entire job, and was on site many times throughout the day, on each working day. Whenever I had questions, Killian was there to answer them, even when those questions were about other non-related projects that we were thinking about for other parts of the foundation/basement. The workers were amazing; it was a job with a lot of heavy manual labor, and the entire team worked efficiently and constantly, and often into late hours in the evening, and cleaned up the site each day. While working on the project, the team found that previous waterproofing had been done poorly, and they redid the entire drain tile around the perimeter without charging anything extra.
Our newly finished basement looks wonderful. There were a few remaining small adjustments that needed to be made after inspection of the finished work, and Killian promptly came out and completed those small jobs. We occasionally found it difficult to contact Ari and Killian via phone/text, but in the end, the project was carried out promptly and professionally. We will definitely call upon Ari and Killian again.
I am so pleased with my experience with this company. I had an ancient asphalt driveway that had completely broken down, and the floor of my garage was so bad that there were weeds growing inside! I looked at three companies and was most impressed with ARI -- plus it was the least expensive (and didn't try to up-sell me on things I didn't want). They were punctual, professional, and very respectful of my property. (I have extensive gardens along the driveway. Somehow they were able to so the work without trimming or trampling on the plants.) They put a beautiful, subtle curve in the driveway so the gardens wouldn't be interfered with, and it added a wonderful, graceful touch that really softened the look.
Finally -- and most importantly -- the quality of the work was top-notch. My ex is a landscape architect who contracts out concrete work for playgrounds all the time where he works (P.G. Parks and Planning.) When I told him the amount and kind of materials they were using, he said it was even better than he would have required for residential use. He came by to see it the weekend after they finished and said they did an excellent job.
I would happily use this company again if I needed more concrete work. A++
Ari and his entire crew were extremely punctual, professional, courteous, efficient, and all their work was done with care, and the highest level of excellence. We could not overstate how pleased we are with the finished project and how easy it was to work with them. I wish we had 10 more projects to give them. We have already recommended them to friends who are planning concrete work.
