"Thank you very much! It was great working with you."
"All of our workmanship is guaranteed for a full year. We offered to send a plumber out (at no charge) to investigate a "leaking toilet" and a leak in her kitchen. Here's what we told the client: Toilet - We installed a brand new toilet. The only way this could be leaking is if the bowl had a crack in it. If that were the case, you would certainly have noticed water on the floor of the bathroom. All of the water would have eventually leaked out and you'd have a big mess on your hands. The chance of purchasing a toilet with a cracked bowl is very remote and would be quite unusual. It is pretty reasonable to assume, therefore, that the water that is gradually dissipating is from one of two possibilities (assuming there is no stoppage/clog problem with your water main); 1) an animal is drinking from the toilet (dog, cat?); OR 2) you have not been using the toilet and the water is evaporating over time; One way you can determine whether or not the water in the toilet is evaporating is to pour a layer of mineral oil (harmless) to coat the top of the water in the bowl. Once a layer of oil is on top it will slow the rate of evaporation. Oil evaporates very slowly. Oil doesn't mix with water, and most oils are less dense than water. So oil floats on top of water, and usually makes a very thin layer, covering all the water. When the oil is covering the water, it prevents water molecules from evaporating, just like putting a lid on a jar. Some people actually put a layer of plastic wrap over the toilet bowl to keep water from evaporating if they do not use it on a regular basis. Faucet - There are at least ten reasons that you could be experiencing a leak under the sink. A factory defect from the faucet itself is rare. If the connections weren't tightened at the time of installation it could indeed be a result of the installation but more than likely there is a second issue that has developed, such as a bad seal, p-trap or other plumbing issue. We will check this out thoroughly and inform you before making any repair. Of course, if the leak has something to do with our installation of the faucet there will be no charge. Please let me know when you are available to meet with our plumber. I can schedule the visit as early as Monday. The client OPTED to call an outside plumber (for which she was charged additional), she informed me that they found no problem with our work, although we offered to investigate this for her at no additional charge."
