The service man arrived, examined the stove and stated that he didn't have the part, but that he would look into getting it and would get back to us in the next day or so.  A week went by, then two and we didn't hear from anyone.  We again submitted a request and were met with slow response to our request and again no actual repair of our stove.  I actually called a service person on my own and paid to have the stove fixed.  In the end, I requested my money back from Arkidus and finally got it when Discover card went to bat for me. <br />

The experience was just horrible and I don't want anybody else using them. They are supposedly out of business and it was apparently a scam or something. We ended up trying to use them and they lied to us and to the service provider. We used a pool company to come and address the pool, but they wouldn't pay them. We ended up having to negotiate with the pool company because they were going to sue us. It was a mess. We found this home warranty company and we paid them some money to help us with repairs which we got very little out of, but then we ended up having to pay this pool company on top of that. We lost quite a bit of money. It was a decent price which was why we went with them, but it didn't matter if we had to pay for the services because they won't pay for them. I would not use them again and I would recommend that nobody else use them.

In March 2012, I had to file my first claim.  I had to wait for days to get an approval to fix my heat pump.  It took  months for Arkidus to pay off the service company.  The second claim I had to file was on 5/15/12, but this time I needed my air conditioner fixed.  It took them days to respond, so in the meantime I asked the service company to come out and fix the air conditioner since it was extremely hot outside.  The company would only come out if I paid for it upfront since Arkidus was so unresponsive with the first claim.  I have yet to receive reimbursement for my upfront payment, after calling incessantly.  They assured me in December that they would pay me.  I have over six numbers to contact them, and whenever I call any of the phone numbers I get forwarded to a voicemail.

I have used them for my home warranty for the past year. I recently received a notice from collections because Arkidus Home Protection didn't pay a bill for my air conditioning. I recently tried to submit a claim on my plumbing when I was trying to call them with no return call.  I emailed them and immediately received a response back that they are no longer in business.  There was a link that stated if I responded back there was going to be a refund.  I never received my money back or any other response back from them. I have called to department of insurance and spoke to financial services they said that the guy that was scaming us was Ray Burgess.  He had a license to sell insurance but did not have a license for the warranty plan.  Than florida department of insurance pulled his license.  I also contacted North Carolina Department of Insurance and was advised that none of these business are licensed.

It was a terrible experience. We bought their Diamond protection plan and that is supposed to be the one that covers more expensive and larger items. When we purchased the house, it had higher end equipment and was all working just fine. It was a surprise to me when we tried to call someone from Arkidis to check in on our appliances, we could not reach anyone. We have emailed them several times dating back to June and that was when they were supposed to call me the next day. No one has tried to contact me since. I have an email from James B from Arkidis and when I talked to him, he told me to send him the information and that he would take care of it. I have an invoice here from 3/12 and when he attached it, it was just a PDF that I couldn't open. It said that the file was damaged. When I tried to call him back to confirm this, I have recieved no word from them. I have tried to ask "James B" plenty of questions regarding the home warranty plan. We paid extra to make sure the ice maker was covered. They said that they covered everything that we had, which included the premium appliances but can't fix anything. The fella I spoke with was James D Bandmiller and his cell phone number has been disconnected. He seems to be part of the sales team and is the only one that I have been able to speak with. When we did submit a claim, we have heard back from no one and it has taken them until mid July for them to send someone to look at refridgerator, which happened to be a Sears repair man. He let me know that it had not been taken care of but that the appliance was too old and could not be repaired because they didn't make the parts anymore. Then they let me know that Arkidis would have to replace this. Along with this, the plan said it would be a $50 service fee but ended up getting charged $75. I found them on Angie's List and did extensive research to try to contact them regarding this issue. I need to get some resolution from Angie's List so I can get in contact with them. <br /> <br /> Ray Berges ( rayb@theahp.net) sent an email stating (on 7/23) that the refridgerator claim is pending and would take two weeks. <br /> <br /> Henry Robana ( claims@theahp.net, info@theahp.net) is in the sales department and he has contacted Ray, and was the one who gave me his email address. We have offered them emails and telephone numbers but have not heard back from anyone regarding this issue.

We had electrical work done by them, but then I had some plumbing issues that I tried to call them to come out and fix since I have a warranty with them. I have been trying to contact them and they don't answer, don't return phone calls, and my property manager said she heard they were maybe out of business due to fraud. She tried calling them, and then I tried and still got no answer. When I call there is a busy tone on the phone.

This company is a Scam.  I purchased a home warranty from them on 7/3, however I have attempted to call them several times over the past two weeks to get service and the line is constantly busy and they will not return emails.  If you've done business with this company I suggest you report them to BBB and call your attorney generals office to file a report.

When I signed up with them in December. I found them on the list. They were highly rated. I needed them now for my plumbing needs. I have tried to contact them today at least 10 times. All I get is just a busy signal. I looked on Angie's List today and see that they are badly rated and that they gave complaints from other members.

This company is impossible to get ahold of!  When I purchased the warranty in May I did research and did not find too many negative reviews... that is not currently the case if you search them today.  <br /> My AC went out in June right before I was going on vacation.  I called Arkidus and they said they would have a tech out that day.  I spoke with the technician and he said he would be there after 5:00.  At 5:15 I called to let him know I was on my way and make sure he was not just sitting at my house.  He informed me that the warranty company had cancelled the appointment and told him not to come because I was going out of town!!!  I immediately called Arkidus and they said the tech told them that I cancelled the appointment because I was going out of town!  I told them that most certainly was NOT the case and they needed to get someone back out there.  I waited around the house for 2 hours and never heard from anyone and could not get anyone to answer at Arkidus again.  The next day we called the technician and he stated that they had cancelled their contract with Arkidus, were no longer doing business with them, and would not be out to the house.  This went on for 4 DAYS before they finally had someone back out to the house to fix the air conditioner.  <br /> Fast forward to today... yesterday I got home (late) and my air conditioner was again not working.  I tried to call Arkidus ALL DAY LONG to file another claim and got a busy signal all day!  I also clicked a link on their website that I understood to mean someone would call... but I never received a call.  I also sent 2 emails to the claims department and never received a response at all!  This company is a scam and I urge you to not believe any of the positive ratings you happen to come across online!  I can't help but think they are false comments generated by their own employees or they are very, very few individuals who just happened to get extremely lucky.  And do not believe what they claim their rating is with the better business bureau without first checking it out for yourself.

I chose this company based on the good ratings (at the time) on Angie's List. Everything started out fine. I had to have a plumbing company come and fix my garbage disposal earlier this year. That went just fine. A few months later, I called them for to have someone come look at my AC as it was not cooling properly. The AC company came and fixed the issue. It's two month later, and the AC company is calling me, telling me they're going to put a lien on my house because Arkidus has not paid them yet. <br /> <br /> I've tried calling and calling, any and all phone numbers I can find, and the lines are always busy at Arkidus.

My one AC unit isnt working, and I called them 3 weeks ago about 10-15 times and I either get a voicemail or a busy signal.  I have e-mailed them and I have gotten no response, I have also e-mailed a different account and it says that the mail box is full.

I have been trying to contact them to let them know that the plumbing issue I had was caused by Cox Communications.  Their phone number only has a fast busy.  The plumber came out that Arkidus sent, and he had to get approval to snake the plumbing.  He hadn't heard from Arkidus and we still had a problem.  Finally they called the plumber and he came out and snaked it, after we went all weekend without water.  I have been trying to contact them to get reimbursement from Cox, but I am even unable to contact the owner on his personal number. I have a claim now for my wine cooler and I can't get a hold of them.

I called on a claim, they sent someone out, but the problem was not fixed. The vendor came back, but  would not repair unless I paid $178.00 in advance because Arkidus had not paid him for his first call. <br /> Over a period of months I emailed, faxed, and telephoned Arkidus, but no one responded. <br /> <br /> Finally, a man named Michael Anderson called and agreed to resolve all the problems, including reimbursement of the $178.00 and splitting the cost of a new ice maker, which I agreed to. He left me a direct contact number which turned out to be a fax number. I faxed him twice and I received no response, reimbursement, or anything. Arkidus did not meet their obligation of the written contract between us. My resolution is a refund of the $500.00 for the policy plus $178.00 I laid out. <br /> <br />

I at least got my monies worth wit on my first claim, but I do have more claims that they are supposed to cover for a year. They are no longer responding to phone calls or emails. Even when they did  fix the one problem it was a huge hassle, and I had to keep pounding them.

I signed up for Arkidus home warranty, paying half the installment immediately and setting up an automatic deduction for the other half to come out 30 days later. On 6th June 2012, I called Arkidus because my air conditioning was not working. My air conditioner ended up needing to be replaced, and Arkidus said they would cover $1400 toward the cost of replacement, and would send a reimbursement check of $1400 after I submitted paperwork showing that the work was done. I submitted the paperwork showing that the replacement was made on 13th June 2012. <br /> I have contacted Arkidus and spoken to their customer service on several occasions (more than 30 times actually, over the phone and via e-mail). Every time they made an excuse about why the reimbursement check had not been sent yet, or insisted that the check had been written and that I would receive a tracking number when it was sent. No check has been forthcoming, and it has been more than 60 days. Now, whenever I call them, their voice mail box is full so I can't even leave a message. I am beginning to think that I am being lied to, and that no check will ever arrive from Arkidus. I have researched other customer reviews online and now see many other angry Arkidus customers complaining that the same thing happened to them, and that they were never reimbursed.

On Sunday morning my garbage disposal stopped working.  I called them with a message about my problem. They have a recording they will get back with me. <br /> <br /> I called them, I called Ray's office number, and emailed them.  No one got back.  I have sent three more rounds of this.  The machine says their mail  box is full now.

DO NOT USE ARKIDUS!  Worst customer service ever.  They are good at taking the original claim and calling you and making you feel all warm and fuzzy, like it's going to be taken care of.  And then once they have to pay out they don't answer the phone or return emails or call you back.  The dishwasher claim was made back in May, it got all the way to the point that Ray Berges said he would expedite the check for me.  Well I am still waiting a month later for the check to arrive.   <br /> Next we have the A/C.  Got a call, had a service repair guy come out, which Arkidus set up.  And I have heard nothing since.  This was on July 20th.  I have called, emailed, left messages.  NO response.  This company is TERRIBLE.

We called on a Satuday and they had a company come out. We had to have sewer work done under our garage. We paid the leak detection company. We have tried to get ahold of Arkidus and we are unable to reach them. They do not return calls, they do not respond to emails.

The initial contact with Arkidus went well and they sent the subcontractor out to replace the bathroom fan.  Since that time, I have tried to reach them repeatedly and have been unable to talk to anyone.  No one has called me back or responded to my emails.  The subcontractor that performed the work in June (more than a month ago) has not been reimbursed and he cannot get anyone to call him back either. <br /> I have also called after 5 PM and their office is closed. How do you have this kind of service and not have an answering service? <br /> If you are looking for a home warranty company, keep on looking.  Arkidus is too hard to reach. <br />

They told me that they had changed their payment structure.  I've been trying to get a hold of them for some time.  Whenever I call, it just goes straight to a recording or someone will answer and say that they're with a customer and will return my call again.  The last time I talked to a real person was 5 days ago and I haven't heard anything from them since.
