A&R Landscaping, Inc.

We have been using them for our 4 years. We had a different crew work on our property and it did not go well. We just spoke with them about work for this year, and they are going to fix the problems. We'll give them another try. Hopefully, it will work out as it did before last year.

It took a month or two for them to come out and then I'm not sure what they did when they finally got there. It was minimal. <br />

They finally came about 3 months later and did it. It didn't really do a whole lot because it is all broke up again so I am not sure what he did but it didn't last. He kept calling and cancelling. He would call me and make an appointment and then he would cancel it then he would call and make an appointment and cancel it, it was close to 4 months before he finally got over here and did it. Then he was in such a rush that I don't think that it was done very well because it is all broke up again. The quality was very low, of course this winter was hard on it but still it should have lasted longer than that. There were quite a few times that I couldn't get a hold of him. When I did get hold of him, we would make an appointment and cancelled it and make an appointment and cancel it and that went on for months. The day he did come, he was on time, the day he finally came. He did come on the day he said he was coming and he came at the time he said he was coming and that is one plus.

It was fine. There were no extra charges. They were prompt. The price was fine.

It was fine.  The process was a little messy.  They returned to clean up and reseal.  Their follow up was good.

Why does Angie's keep pestering me about getting a review !?!?!  It's been over a year and I DON'T WANT TO PROVIDE A REVIEW!  WHY CAN'T I CANCEL THIS REQUEST?  (I even think the company no longer exists) <br />

He came on time and completed the work. He did a good job.

I wanted to be here when they were doing it because I was kind of using this as an audition so I might have them come out and do it. On the phone and via e-mail, I told him I wanted him to come on Monday. I told them I do not care when it is, but I want it to be on a Monday, and he could never get that together. So, they came out and did it when I was not here. I wanted to see their work and talk about some other things that they might do if they do a decent job, but if he could understand to come out here on Monday, I do not know if they are someone I would have back again plus before they came out here, I have had hired somebody else to do the aerating and seeding thing and ultimately cancelled it because the guy claimed he came out here and did this. I could see no evidence of any clogs. He could describe the area to me. I think he came here, but I cannot believe he did anything. He said that I have sandy soil, but I have clay. I think he came out and looked. I actually asked for my money back. I got my money back for that one. Part of the reason why I wanted to be here was that I actually want to see it done because after my experience, I do not trust people to work when I am not here. The price was fine. They could not get the come on a Monday thing.

Everything went well and there were no additional charges.

It turned out fine. I tried to get a hold of them for several months before they actually came out. When I started working on getting the service reimbursed, that's when they came out. The customer representative for the company was really nice but I felt like they weren't trying to do what I needed them do at my convenience but at their convenience. The treatment went well, I have no complaints.

They never showed up for 2 of the 3 treatments, could not get in touch with them.

It took awhile for them to come out and they rescheduled me a few times. Once they finally came, the work was not done very well.  I called to let them know my issues and they offered to come back out to correct the work. They did complete the work to my satisfaction.

It took a couple months for them to come out and work. I was not happy with them. In the future, try to respond to calls right away and let them know if you can or cannot do the work. The communication was horrible.

It didn't go well.  Showed up an hour and a half late.  Personnel appeared uncomfortable with aerater.  Did only half my yard and cited that the rest was beyond advertised 10K sq ft. Later I calculated what they had done and determined that they had aerated only 6K sq ft.  When I brought this to their attention they agreed to refund $32, 40% 0f the total cost.  No refund ever showed.  Needless to say I wouldn't use them again, even if it was free.  You should probably ban them from operating under your banner <br />

I initially learned of this vendor via an Angie’s List Big Deal.  The price was great (several years ago, I paid more than twice this for the same service from another company).  While the final work was adequate, I struggled for five weeks to reach the company.  It ignored messages posted on the Angie’s Message Board and failed to return multiple phone calls.  During the period, I spoke with two different people.  The first assured me that A&R planned to service my property during the first week of October.  As no definite date was stated, it is no surprise that it never occurred.  When I was able to reach someone again, the appointment was set for 10/24.  While no one appeared, A&R at least called to explain that the aeration equipment had broken, but service would occurred after repair.  It occurred the following Monday.  While I saw the evidence by looking at my lawn, the vendor failed to leave a notice for service completion.   Business is about more than just doing the task.  Customer care, including good communication, is crucial.  Although I got a great price, this was an incredible hassle.  Truly, I would have rather paid more and had to worry about follow-up less.

The work A&R did was fine. Communication and scheduling was difficult, resulting in less work getting done than we had wanted, but we got what we paid for in the end.

It went well.  We had them do the clean up in the front and back yard. I had them do the gutter cleaning in the shed.

I have not been happy with them at all. I called them because they said they came out for the first treatment, although I wasn't home to see it. They said they had been out, but I said I didn't see any evidence of their visit. They explained they use a leaf blower to clean up the sidewalk. My neighbor confirmed that someone had been in the yard, but they were there for only a very short period of time. They have only come out twice now. The second time, I was home and the guy explained they couldn't treat the whole yard. I thought that was fair. I showed him which areas I wanted him to focus on. I don't believe he was here for more than 10 minutes and again, there was no evidence of work done and no leaf blower used in fact. They are supposed to do three treatments for $89 and I'll be getting in contact with them for the third treatment. The girl in the office is good with getting back with me. I appreciate her responsiveness, but I'm unsatisfied with the company as a whole. I see no evidence my yard improving or work even being done.

It was terrible.  They said they came but the weeds are still overtaking my lawn.  I think they didn't come because I told them I wouldn't be here.  They charged me $20 more because they said it going to be more.  I would like a refund.

They did a really good job.  I was very satisfied.  They put the mulch where we wanted it.  They cleaned up.

It was fine. They had some problems with equipment and the supplier didn't get them the seed in a timely manner so we had to wait a few days. When they came, it took them about a week to complete the job from start to finish.

Terrible. Looks worse now than before the job was done. Vendor was supposed to patch the smaller cracks and then seal coat the driveway. However, the patches turned white after a few days; leaving me with a black driveway with white wiggly lines through it. After weeks of trying to get them out to my house to repair the job, they finally covered the cracks with seal coat that did not match the rest of the seal coat. After a few more days, the white patching material started bleeding through the seal coat covering them. So now I have a driveway that is two different tones of black with white bleeding through.
