My technician, Art, was timely, professional and effective. He came over for a brief inspection in November. Arnold Electric promptly sent me a proposal, and I scheduled two sessions in December/January. For the first session, Art and one colleague worked diligently for the full morning. When Art arrived for the second session, he only had to do some minor tweaks because almost all of the work was already done. Art did the job we agreed upon and everything seems to be working as expected. He and the rest of the team are definitely talented, and I have zero complaints about the quality of the service I received. The pricing (agreed upon at the beginning of the project) seemed quite high after all was said and done. The total was $3,125 for around 11 man-hours of work in my apartment. I understand electricians have indirect costs, such as travel and administration, but I still feel as though I could have hired a different high quality/service-oriented electrician for less. When I brought this concern up with the Arnold Electric's office, they explained to me that they typically do not make adjustments to pricing (upwards or downwards) based on a proposal taking more or less time than expected. This seems like a fair policy, but I think I will shop around for my next project.

Art was here on time, worked like lightning, explained everything while he was doing it, and was super professional and courteous. The price ended up under what I had anticipated, which I am completely attributing to how quickly Art was able to knock out the list. Arnold Electric Services is my first call the next time anything electrical pops up for me.

Suddenly the power goes out at my father's house in Chicago. Then git came back on in an hour. He said it happens quite frequently. I searched for a Chicago electrician and Arnold Electric came up first. They had great reviews so I gave them a call. Jack came out to gave him an estimate for a whole home generator. Jack came out and answered all of our questions. He made some great suggestions. He went with the Kohler home back up generator installed instead of the Generac because handle the extra surge of the AC kicking on and not hurt my electronics. We were lucky he didn't didn't need it during the storms this weekend, but having the home generator gave us all piece of mind that if he did need back up power it was there. Jack and his Chicago electricians are the best! They are now our family electricians.

They were on time, extremely polite and very neat. I was impressive with all intelligent the technician was and how he took the time to explain to me everything he was doing. I would definitely hire them again.

Electricians decent friendly capable guys but Pam in office sent 2 vs 1 I requested and overcharged me.

They came out to the house, they follow just a very minor thing, they switch it in five seconds and left and didn't charge me. They were very very they were two young fellows, very polite very nice and knew what they were doing. But they were just being very polite it's good business and if I need electric work done I would definitely call them.

The job was done for my elderly mother-in-law. She was very happy.with the performance, efficiency, and pleasantness of the two electricians that worked on this job within her home. Karen, whom I spoke to when making the appointment for my mother-in-law, was also very helpful and pleasant. We would recommend this company in a heartbeat. <br />

The quality of work was okay. They used material that I had laying around to do the work, even though we agreed it would be new material and then they charged me for the material.

NOT a happy camper right now and can't wait for my husband to gloat about what a waste of money this was going to be and he would be correct.  I purchased the $300 for a whole-house electrical inspection under the assumption the actual ENTIRE house was going to be inspected.  I even explained to the lady over the phone what my concerns were, mainly being our overhead lighting on our main floor.  When the technician showed up he said that wasn't part of the service and I would have to request a separate service call for it.  NOT happy since this was the main reason for purchasing this deal which was explained while setting up my service date, he said he would try and check a few if he had time.   <br /> He ended up checking ONE and broke a wire and said that it may cause that room and another room to not have power and it would mean having to have someone come out and fix it later.  He then proceeded to go around and stick this $2 gizmo he went and got from the hardware store in the outlets to see if they were working.  Um....I COULD'VE done that myself!  There was no actual inspection of the wiring itself.  I'm starting to really learn my lesson about these Angie's List deals and now I'm out $300 for a complete waste of time. <br /> <br />

The scheduling of an appointment went quick enough, although I did have to call to schedule after submitting the order. I understand people get busy, so no big deal IMO.  <br /> The inspection went quick, the provider was friendly and knowledgable. He took time to explain WHY things were OK. All in all, it was a good experience. I do feel the quote we received was a little high, considering the areas were previously wired and ready for ceiling fans. It may have been the installation of an electrical hub over the counter that brought it up in price however. <br /> I would use them for that work, once we have the ability to go forward. I feel sometimes you have to pay higher for trustworthy folks to do a job, and I would place them in that category. <br />

I have used Arnold Electric a number of times for various projects and have been impressed each time with their professionalism and quality of work. Arnold is now my "go to" electrician and will definitely refer new business to friends. Thank you!

The scheduler, Pam, was a delight to talk to on the phone and made sure that we were totally informed regarding the process.  Jack Arnold was fabulous and stepped us through everything that we should expect.  They charge by the hour (which we preferred) rather than by the job.  He originally estimated 5 days for the job with a cap of $10,000 plus $1000 in materials, but the job only took 3 days and totaled $6,500.  We highly recommend Arnold Electric for any electrical needs you may have -- a real pleasure from beginning to end! <br />

It went very well. Wally was very prompt and professional. And, Pam provides the best customer service. <br /> I have an issue with one of the cables for my cable TV service. I clicked on and paid for an Angie's service deal which turned out I overpaid. No fault of Arnold Electric. I should have just contacted them directly through Angie's list without paying for the deal ahead of time. However, Arnold Electric offered to come back and take care of an electrical need free of charge. They didn't have to do that. And, I so appreciated how fairly I was treated! <br /> In a few months, I hope to replace all the ceiling fans in my condo, and I will most definitely be calling Arnold's Electric to take care of this. Their professionalism, customer service and technical expertise receive an A+ from me. <br />
