This company inspected both chimneys & recommended flashing, caps, sealing & added mortar repair to contract. Mortar not repaired. 1 chimney in such bad condition it has to be removed. Waste of money getting any work done on that. Still had leak in front chimney but flashing and cap looked nice. Mortar not repaired. Young guys did the work. Very polite but question their skills & experience given result. Owner ignored repeated requests for partial refund. Took him to court, he didn't show. I won judgment against him. He ignored many, many requests for payment, and failed to receive/Call back numerous attempts by sheriff deputies to serve summons. He ignored a summons sent by VA State Corporation Commission, and even a bench warrant. I still have not received a penny. I recommend strongly you stop recommending this company.

I had leaking chimneys & hired this company to look at them and give me a plan & estimate for fixing the problem. (I found them through Angies List). They came and did the work - but I was advised a few months later that one of the chimneys was so beyond repair that it was ready to fall off. So they should have advised that the chimney needed to be removed, not flashed and capped. It was removed, and all the $ I paid for it was down the drain. Other chimney still leaks. I took them to court, won judgment, and they never have replied to any of my requests for payment per the judgment. They manage to avoid all summonses to appear in court, they did not stand by their guarantee . "We came out for a inspection. Upon inspection noticed both Chimneys are seriously damaged on exterior due to no maintenance for years. In fact when asked customer how long her chimneys were in this condition she stated for years. Only after been leaking in her home for over a year is when she chose to do something about it. Which is just neglect. We offered two options rebuilding both Chimneys for $11,700 . Customer could not afford and wanted a cheaper option. We then said we would do a temporary repair but at the end of the day it is just a bandage and real repairs have to be made."

I took them forever to get to the property.They showed up on dates that weren't scheduled and late when it was.They inspected roof and pointed out bad area's.I contracted for them to seal chimney at crown,chimney sweep,replacement of all roofing flashing and repair of damaged plywood on roof.The chimney work was done satisfactory.They only replaced flashing in front of house but their work resulted in 2 of 4 shutters falling off after they left.The damaged plywood was replaced but when it rained a leak occurred in the house under where the roof was repaired.They came out once to repair the problem but it still leaks.It took a long time to get them to reply to e mails,telephone voice mails for them to return..They refuse to answer any more of my voice mails,e mails etc about the leaking roof.I will not use these people ever again

OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!! After I purchased service online Around the Clock was calling my phone before I had a chance to get out of my chair. They gave me a timely appt so I didn't have to wait long at all to get the roof fixed. When they arrived they were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. They immediately diagnosed the problem, told me exactly what they were going to do, showed me photo evidence of the problem and repaired it in a matter a minutes. They are HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and I'd definitely hire them again. Thumbs Up!!!

Horribly, late each day, took twice as long as it should have and most importantly the finished product is completely unacceptable. Dumpster sat in my driveway for 10 additional days while I argued about getting it removed. Caused considerable damage to my home during install. Currently in a court battle to recoup original payment and remainder to get entire roof redone... again.

Their estimated time to complete the job was one to two days. Seven months later they have still failed to pass an inspection. They started the job illegally with no permits.They were supposed to have a mechanical permit, and building permit. Then they are required to get a mechanical inspection and a framing inspection. They have failed 3 inspections so far. The inspector told me he could not find anything right. The chimney wasn't tall enough, the firebox wasn't secured, there was no insulation in the wall behind the fireplace, and the flashing was not done properly so the chimney leaks. They have also missed multiple appointments. I have sent multiple emails telling them that the job has to be finished or return my money. They refused and they are refusing to contact me now.

This was a big deal I bought from Angie's List. This went very bad. The type of dryer vent I have has a wire inside the dryer vent tube. I told the guy in fact you can see it. I was concerned about the type of thing he was running in there, it was a little thing you swish around. Anyway, he went and did it and it got tangled in the wire and it ruined the vent tube. He bought a new vent tube which was like $5 or $6 and gave it to me. But I haven't been able to get anybody to install it. I haven't gotten any refund from him either. He did show up and acted nice but they were apparently very inexperienced. I don't think the knew what they were doing and I would not hire them again. They didn't charge more than the $79. If they had been able to clean the tube I thought the price was reasonable but they didn't. They tore the tube up. It hasn't been reinstalled . We have a porch you have to go under that's very narrow. That's why I warned them a head of time. He felt very confident that his machine would work on it and it worked on it alright. I give him an F on any rating you got. They were all here on time, they got here when they said they would.

Turns out the caps and flashing were 1) not needed for chimney #1; and 2) didn't stop the leaks in chimney #2. With chimney #1, the tech flashed it and capped it to stop leakage - but a guy went up a little later to blow straw off the roof and yelled down that there was a problem with the chimney. He was able to grab the top half of it and turn it on its base, just with his bare hands. It was not even attached - it was waiting to fall into the roof with the first tree limb that hit it. This chimney should have been removed - not flashed and capped. Chimney #2 still leaked. What was proposed did not rectify the problem. Subsequently, this business has responded to zero of my requests for rectification and I took them to court and got a judgement. However, I have not collected on that judgement because the company repeatedly has ignored my requests for payment and it's president, Joseph Gonzalez, avoids summonses to appear in court related to payment. The sheriff's deputies try to serve him, he is "not there," the receptionist gives him the deputies' cards, but Mr. Gonzalez does not follow up. Check the BBB website, and their FB page for reviews.

"Your chimneys look like they have serious damage on both of your chimney. Caused my not taking care of them over the years. We notified you that there was serious structural issues with both chimneys and that it would cost over $7,000 to repair brick work on both chimneys. Chimneys are both in usage so tearing down is not a good option. You proposed jist stopping the leak at low cost affordable price. We installed chimneys caps , chimney crown coat and chimney flashing. Which take care of key areas on your chimney but if you have loose and falling mortar and bricks the structural integrity of chimney is compromised . This is what complete rebuilds of your chimney would have saved. Again this repair would have been over $7,000 and the customer could not afford it. We didn't do anything with any brick work at home so how are we now getting the aftermath of a homeowner who does not taking care of there home. The chimneys in Portsmouth on the very old home look like they haven't been touch or any maintenance done on them ever. This is what lead to a $7,000 repair bill that was needed. Age of home and no home maintenance. We did not cause these chimneys to get like this , [Member Name Removed] carelessness for her own home did. These chimney even in customer picture have old mortar and old brick , missing brick, she was advised of missing and damages of bricks and mortar. This was repairs we recommended be done for $7,000 to all bricks and mortar on chimney. She refused due to money issues."
