I should have heeded the warning signs.  The sales guy was supposed to be here at 1:00...at 2:00 I texted him and asked if he was going to show up...He finally showed up at 2:30!!  I'll know better next time...but he showed up and gave us a quote, and we went with it.  Our own fault. <br /> They promised a specific start date.   <br /> They came on the agreed upon date and removed the pavers and poured the concrete.  No problems there, they came on time did a decent job at standard concrete.   <br /> Two weeks after they poured the concrete (which is when they said they would be back to do the pool decking)...we get a phone call that stated they would be there the following week to do the pool decking.  Nope...you said two weeks..we're holding you to it..so my husband had to call the sales guy and be a jerk..but they came when they originally promised <br /> .   <br /> Then they come to do the pool decking and a nightmare it soon became.  Absolutely horrible job!  Trowel marks, uneven, inconsistent patterns because of the amount of pool decking they used, holes where the concrete didn't meet the existing concrete..I have pictures, it was horrible.  So, after attempts to reach the sales guy John, my husband called the main number.  They wouldn't even discuss anything with him.  They just told him he had to talk to the sales guy.   <br /> We finally get them to agree to come out and re-do the whole pool decking (which needed to be done, there was no way repairs would work).   We did find out the reason the job was so bad...it was a new guy with little experience that they sent to do our job!!  Lucky us!! <br /> The guys show up with a little sander saying they were going to repair the spots!!  What a joke!  We're talking about $6000-455 square feet worth of area.  The whole thing was a mess...not just "spots"!!!   <br /> Then the guys leave to go get the grinder after my husband had to call the sales guy again.  The guys come back with a grinder and grind the whole thing off and start over.  This time...I watched from start to finish!  <br /> So, after they put the spray decking on half of the area they had to quit because of high winds.  They came back the next day to finish.   <br /> After they left that same day,I looked at one of the holes where the concrete didn't match up..and it was a hole the size of a 50 cent piece..but they had already sprayed it with spray decking and didnt fix the hole first..  I asked the guy if they were going to fix it and he said oh yes he would fix it, he missed it!!    He then went and sprayed spray decking in the hole!! <br /> They got finished, came and got me to come look at it...there were areas with no paint, the hole was still there..they didn't clean the seams out well enough and painted over rocks that were in the seams...so then the worker told me that he came and got me too soon...that they would touch up the areas and come and get me again!   <br /> The last time I looked at it when he came and got me, it looked ok.(I think they fixed the hole, maybe by filling hole with spray decking and paint)..but I wanted to look at it again after they left..well that didn't get to happen! <br /> Within 15 minutes of the workers leaving and before I could really look at it...the sales guy was here to get the final check!!  He looked at it...told me it looked perfect to him and gave me one excuse after another of why there were holes in the areas of concrete where they matched it up to the existing deck, etc...but that the whole thing had gone on long enough and he was here to get the check!  I wanted my husband to be able to look at it first, but that didn't get to happen.  The job was done according to the sales guys satisfaction and he wanted his money!  We had every intention of paying the total amount due, but once it was completed to our satisfaction.  <br />    <br /> Before they finished the job, because they had to re-do the whole thing, .they sent us a bill, for the final amount due...  The bill was dated 7/27...the envelope was dated 7/28 and the due date was 7/30.  With 33% interest due on amounts more than 1 day late!!!  They just finished the deck today 8/7!  (I'm sure they have a reason for this, but how would it even have been possible to get the payment in on the 30th..when the bill was mailed on the 28th..probably didn't even get into my mailbox until the evening of the 30th...so at that point it's already late??!! <br /> Anyway, I paid them...they are done...gone..and thank goodness!  I will just add this... <br />    <br /> I wish I would have seen the "F" rating from someone else, before I contacted them..  I just looked today and saw the "F" rating.   <br /> They trashed my pool....twice!  Its been a nightmare trying to clean a!l the debris and dust out of my pool..and I asked the sales guy about it BEFORE they did it and he said it would be no problem, they would cover everything up!!!  No, they didn't! <br /> They laid plastic wrap (very thin painters plastic I'm guessing) on top of the pool about a foot in...Then when they pulled the plastic wrap up...all the crap just slid right into the pool.  I saw it happen.  They sprayed decking on my pavers, on my pool walls, on my plants.   <br /> In my opinion, they charge a high price for very low quality of work.  It seems like they cheap out on the amount of spray decking they use..it can't even compare to my original spray decking..and it doesn't even look close.....their equipment kept malfunctioning while spraying the spray decking on..it kept clogging. <br />

ArtCon's representative scheduled the above work with us for Wed, Nov. 5th. and he wrote that clearly at the top of the estimate. At that time we paid 50% of the above total. No one showed up on that date. We called at about 10am and were told we weren't scheduled for the work on that date. Miss-communication within ArtCon. A call by us to the company contact's cell phone wasn't even returned. <br /> We only got a call late that day from the person who does the scheduling with an off-hand apology and giving us a new date of Mon, the 10th. Without even consulting us as to our availability. We had to tell him they would have to come on Wed., Nov. <br /> 12th. One week after the original work date. One week that we had our patio furniture sitting in our living room. <br /> The work was performed satisfactorily on Wed, Nov. 12. The next evening we received the final bill by email. We were disappointed to see that no monetary adjustment was made to the final bill. They did nothing to address the in-house problem on their part. <br /> We won't use them again nor recommend them to others. <br />

Totally satisfactory and it went very well. Not necessarily the lowest price but it was good job and we were satisfied.

Just awful! About a year later, my concrete looks awful! And it was redone once by Artcon after initial job aproximately six months due to peeling. Surprise, it is peeling all over. After getting the runaround and attitude, we decided to call a few more companies to see why the driveway is peeling. We were told the driveway should have been stripped down, which it wasn't, nor was it even mentioned in the estimate. My concrete looks worse now, then before Artcon did their so called work. Do Not trust this company, do your research and <br />Check out other sites for reviews. Initially work looks good, but we were quick to find out it does not last. We definitely were conned by this company! We chose them due to them being cheaper then other companies, but buyer beware!! <br /> <br />

Our landscaping project manager Tom from Modern Landscaping suggested Artcon. They listened to what we wanted done and gave us what we consider a fair price. They showed up on time and completed the work on time and as promised. They were responsive to our calls and were always available to talk with us which was important as this was a second home. They were able to make some adjustments andi changes we requested with very little hassle. The stamped concrete is beautiful and the whole patio and walkway look fantastic. Overall we are happy with the results and the process and would use them again for future projects. <br />

We had a mixed experience with them. <br /> <br /> The first crew was a bad experience. I had to call the estimator and see how we could get the job finished to our specifciations. <br /> <br /> The second crew was great. <br /> <br /> I was happy with the price and very impressed with the estimator. <br /> <br /> You should give them a chance.

These guys were great. My wife had previously hired a contractor off of Craig's list to epoxy our garage floor. The gentleman did this, but failed to wait the appropriate time and the solution never cured properly. Therefore, the entire job had to be grinded off and replaced. Artcon gave me a fair price and were extremely knowledgeable. In addition, they were very conscientious about how their job should look and we really appreciated it. The floor now looks beautiful and we love it. I would recommend them to anyone. <br />

When I first called Artcon to give me an estimate they answered and showed up that day with an estimate that day (back in dec 2012) after high winds ruined what was left of my gate, I decided I wanted to go through with using their services (may 2013) I had to call several times before I got a response. I was told the project would take two weeks and then the two weeks became 4 weeks (this was due to the iron gate i needed made) I could never get a hold of the project manager. I would leave voice mails and text him. The only time I would receive a response is if I would call the main office and then I am sure they reached out to him. I didn't have a wall at all for over a week and i have three dogs and horses. I had to ask for a temporary fence and was told it would be put in place on a certain date and when that date came around no one showed up to install the temp fence. Again I called the project manager several times and it took 2 days to receive a response. I was more upset that I had to ask for a temporary fence, this is something I believe should of been provided. Weeks went by and I had no idea where my gate was or could I get an answer to where my gate was. Artcon requires that you put 50% down, so we paid $2,000 up front and apart of the $2,000 was to have the old wood fence removed and hauled away. They removed the fence but never hauled away. Finally I was told that my gate would be installed on a Thursday, so I took Thursday off of work, the gate never came. We called the project manager several times that day to let him know no one showed up and we wanted to know what the status was since we took work off. He never answered or called us back nor to this day has he called. We called the main office and told them we were going to report their business to the BBB and only then did we have Artcon Inc trying to work with us and get the iron gate installed asap. Also when we called to complain they finally showed up to haul away old fence. I really hate leaving bad reviews but I was so disappointed and so unsatisfied with my service especially since I was paying so much money. When ever we would hear from Project manager he was nice, but like I said he does not return calls or call you back when he says he will if at all. The only reason this job got done at all is because of we called the main office to complain and then they were calling me multiple times to let me know the status of my gate and the status of someone coming out do the haul away of the old wall and then they started calling Bradley Iron (the company building the iron gate) to get this job down. It was just an overall bad and stressful experience. <br />

The company representative was John Sellers. We were extremely happy with John right from the beginning. During his consultation he seemed to pay particular attention to detail. We already had had estimates with other companies, but John noticed some details and had some new ideas that none of the other contractors mentioned. In comparison to other company representatives he appeared to be the most creative and knowledgeable. Although ArtCon did not submit the lowest bid, we had confidence that that company would do the best job because of John. I'm happy to report that our confidence was rewarded. The quality of the completed work was outstanding. The work was started and completed in the timeframe that the representative had promised to us. The crew cleaned absolutely everything up. We had absolutely no work to do when they were finished. In summary, we remain completely pleased with the work that was done. John Sellers and the entire ArtCon crew proved to be professional, courteous, and very skilled. As a further bonus actually everything was finished on time. <br /> <br />

On the first day, they started their prep work and the weather prevented them from finishing. The second day they came and finished the prep work. They then went forward with applying the pool decking. In the process of preparing the concrete, the two laborers thought we needed a vapor seal which would protect from moisture. Of course, we didn't want to spend anymore money unnecessarily, so we agreed to have the superintendent come out. He stated he did not see any issues, and that we did not need the vapor seal. About a month after they applied everything we started seeing all of these white spots all around the area it was applied. When we had ArtCon come back out, they were stated that there was a problem with the concrete. The concrete had been here 18 years with no problems before that. I called the manufacturer, and he suggested they come out and do an acid wash. I agreed to have them do this. It did look good for a few days, but it did not resolve the problem. The white spots kept popping back up. I sent an email for them to come fix it to our satisfaction. They then sent me a quote of $2600. In essence, they want me to pay twice for the same job that was not done right in the first place. We took the superintendent at his word. It is not right for us to pay them again for a job they have yet to provide. We were told by their salesperson that if there were any problems, they would take care of it. At this point I do not have a lot of confidence/trust in Artcon.

We were not sure what we wanted to replace our grass with. All the alternatives were explained to us. We chose to go the paver route. The grass was removed, area prepped and pavers installed. We are very pleased with the work and plan on using them again in the future for other projects. <br /> There was only one thing that didn't go as planned. The schedule installation date was postponed by one day and we had to rearrange our previously scheduled appointments. <br />

This company was wonderful! I am an older person and they moved everything out of and back into the garage after the floor had dried. I absolutely love the way my garage looks now. <br />

John was amazing to work with. The crew that came to work was polite and respectful. They did an amazing job on my backyard. <br />

End product is great. They were in and out in 2 days and could walk on after one day and drive on after 3. They are not cheap but they use commercial grade materials which is key to longevity. Sales person was extremely nice and helpful although could be a bit difficult in regard to timely responses sometimes but overall am happy with the end result and would use them again as well as recommend their services. <br />

ArtCon was my 2nd choice for concrete work. Choice #1 was Chief Concrete, but they continued to ignore my requests for a quote. My only complaint with ArtCon is their customer service isn't top notch. They are delightful to work with, but I always had to initiate contact. It took a few weeks and a few emails to get a quote, $2400 for ~170 sq ft, which I'm sure included a little buffering as I live an hour outside of Vegas. Included in our contract was 2 colors of my choice. We didn't want to go with your traditional earth tones for our floor. We have a cool lineoleum product thru out the rest of the house which has greys/blues/greens/browns in it. I had wanted subtle blues and greens, thinking the grey from the existing concrete would show thru. Trying to get a sample of these colors was darn near impossible before signing the contract. We decided to go with the water color product instead of the acid based product, with blues and greens as our colors. <br /> Once the contract was signed, we selected the date to do the install (Jan 7). Two weeks before the install, I sent an email to John verifying we were still on for Jan 7, along with directions to my house. I heard nothing back. Three days week before the install, I called to verify we're still on for Jan 7. John was in the field, so one of the ladies in the office checked for me. Apparently my install date had been changed to Jan 9 and no one bothered to notify me. I didn't mind the change, but shouldn't someone have contacted me BEFORE they changed the date??? <br /> This was a 4 day process. Day 1 was grinding the junk off the floor and filing any/all cracks in the foundation. Day 2 was the primer, an off white self leveling stuff. Day 3 was color application, Day 4 was shiny top coat/sealer application. <br /> Day 1 the crew shows up and as they are grinding off the left over junk, John is showing me samples of the blues and greens I've selected. We decide it would be too intense of a color, he tells me and quot;French Greyand quot; actually has blue tones too it, so that should satisfy my blue needs. They'd use and quot;Charcoaland quot; as the darker, contrasting color and the off white from the primer would show thru. That was the ONLY day I saw John. From there on out, I worked with Victor, the lead foreman for the job. <br /> Day 3, color application day. Victor shows me a sample of the colors his mixed up for me. Let me tell you, and quot;French Greyand quot;? No blue tones in it. None. It's just a light grey. and quot;Charcoaland quot;? Just a dark grey. And since we're over an hour from the shop, it's not like Victor can just run right over and pick up the blue for me. I agreed to go with the 2 grey colors, thinking they are neutral enough that I can always throw a blue rug over it and if I ever change my mind, I can always replace that blue rug with a brown one, or a green one. <br /> Victor and his crew did a very good job cleaning up after themselves each day. I have a few spots I need to touch up with paint, where the machines bumped into the walls, but that is it. Nothing broken, nothing damaged. <br /> Do the floors look good? O yes! Is it exactly the color I had in my head? Nope. Can I happily live with it? Yep. Would I use ArtCon again? Meh, the jury is still out on that one. <br />

I received 5 bids to install concrete pavers in our townhome courtyard. I chose ArtCon because they were rated high on Angie' List, their estimate fell in the middle of the pack, and I had a good impression of the company after several discussions with their estimater, Dave Williams. The work started and was completed on June 30. I watched most of the work being done which included the removal of some existing debris, the installation of the grade 3 compact base material, the fabrication of steps at two doors, and the installation of the pavers. It was very evident that this company was competent in the work that they did for us. After all the pavers were installed, the area was completely cleaned and ready for use. A few days later, we noticed that one of the pavers had a small crack in it. We called Dave Williams about this and he arranaged for a worker to come over in two days to replace the paver. It has been almost 18 months since the pavers were installed and they are holding up great. <br />
