"I haven't had a bad review as such in years. I did try to clean up better than what my workers had done. As far as the paint and mud on baseboards, the drywall compound was cleaned up entirely and as far as paint on baseboards, the previous painter of the room had gotten paint all over the baseboards and trim. I was cleaning up a poor paint job that was previously done by another contractor and the homeowners themselves. The customer was very hard to work for and even didn't pay me for a second coat of paint that was not included when we initially spoke of doing the paint job. I actually did more repairs than I had originally quoted and the extra work that was done was not appreciated, nor compensated upon request. The workers were let go after the job was completed and will never work for my company again as I require my guys to be the best drywallers and or painters available."
"Work for customer previously and completed a ceiling skim and retexture. Asked for a review at the time of completion but never received one until now which is almost a year later. Customer called a second time for another project, basement water damage repair. I gave a quote once I looked at the job and even threw in some extra touch-up to the surrounding areas due to the poor quality of the existing drywall of the already completed basement ceiling and walls. I didn't even ask or increase my cost for this additional work that I was going to complete. We discussed a potential start date, which to my dismay was 6 weeks out. As the date approached, I contacted homeowner via text and he did not want us to start till after 12 for some reason which during this particular week, it would have been hard to accommodate that late of a start time. Then after agreeing to the late start time, he then stated that I would not be able to come back until a week later to complete the job. I was taken back by this, as this was a quick in and out kinda job. During our conversation (via texting) he stated that if "I couldn't work with this schedule, then he would find someone else". At this point, I didn't even respond back to his text and assumed that this was the direction he would pursue. The day came of our scheduled date and he called wondering why I didn't show up as promised. Based on our previous conversation, I assumed that he decided to hire someone else and I did not respond as I had thought that he had moved on to another contractor. He tried to contact me a month later to reschedule with me and at my own discretion I decided not to return his phone call. Since I did not return his phone call, he gives me a poor review. Very difficult customer to work for, even when I completed his large ceiling repair there was difficulty. He has put in 2 more requests through HomeAdvisor, which costs us contractors lead fees and he still hasn't been able to find a contractor. HMMMM wonder why???? Under normal circumstances I am generally very accommodating to customers in order to meet their schedule and needs, most of the time very flexible."
"Very pleasant to work for but they did approach my painter about additional work outside of the tasks being performed, (exterior painting). Homeowner should have never approached my painter in that manner, discussing work other than at the job at hand. Painter was reprimanded and employment put in jeopardy."
"Customer was extremely difficult to work for and paranoid. Had to work around appointments as well as vacations. We were working in his garage, not inside his home and it made it very hard to get other work done for customers. We got a little compound on his grass which is water soluble."
