Great. I was so glad to find someone trustworthy and skilled to re-do the desk. It was almost falling apart. And I wasn't even planning to have the other furniture refinished but decided to do it since I had this great opportunity.

At first Blue (the owner) was on point. This was all good until he got the furniture. With a promise to restore the furniture to it's former glory in 6 to 8 weeks he took my furniture and this is where it all went down hill. He never returned calls. After about 5 weeks my husband stopped by their business and found the furniture shoved into the back of the facility collecting dust untouched. I failed to mention that he was paid in full upfront. BIG mistake on my part. After the husband gave them a few choice words I received a call from Blue. He said due to the weather they had not been able to start working on my furniture. He promised to get started right away. I was having a birhtday dinner for my father at the end of May and ask Blue if he could have it ready by then. He said he would do his best. That date came and went with nothing from Blue. Long story short there were several unkept promises, unanswered calls and lack of professionalism from this company. I did finally get my furniture back and it was restained and recovered. BUT all the joints in the wooden parts are loose there are missing parts and the rocker hardwear was untouched. I would NEVER recommened this company to anyone! Had anyone just picked up a phone and let me know what was going on at some point it would have been much better. I feel that they rushed throught the job because they had backed themself into a corner and therefore the finished work was lacking. My experiance with this company was horrible.

"Thank you so very much for your feedback! Due to your feedback, we have taken steps to better inform our customers that this is a shop - we do sanding and WORK, and it's messy work. No showrooms in this facility. All furniture is wiped down and polished before delivery, but there's no avoiding dust when you sand, and yes, it gets everywhere. We also need to better manage expectations, operating without office staff. That's how we keep our prices so very competitive, and still provide outstanding work. During the time of your work, there were several additional issues at play - first, weather. We thank you for showing us where we need to better inform our customers of the processes used in furniture refinishing that are out of our control, such as humidity and temperature, and we've had a lot of rain this last two years! Our website, estimates, and procedures will be reflecting this information going forward. Our estimates and follow-up emails will also better reflect work orders so that everyone is on the same page, and minimize unaddressed or unexpressed expectations, as well as documenting little extras we might do that go above and beyond the estimate but aren't charged. We do like to "pay it forward" when we get the chance. We are putting into place a better process for follow-up, even without office staff, but at the time of your work being done, Blue was many times unable to answer or return your calls due to a sudden unexpected health issues and subsequent open heart surgery and hospitalizations. I, too, had unexpected serious health complications after what was to be a "day surgery" and was out for several months. No excuses. We were going great guns until we took out two players of our seven-man team, and our scores reflect it. We're very sorry and greatly regret that our situation negatively impacted your experience with us. Everyone is back and better than ever, and we are working hard to use the feedback you've given us to better serve our customers! Thank you so much, and we wish you well."

While going through the teething phase, my dog decided that the wooden dining room table legs were his preference instead of the variety of numerous chew toys he had. He damaged the rounded part of the pedestal leg at the bottom of three legs. Wood filler was needed to repair the legs and then staining. They did an AWESOME job. The fourth leg was not damaged at all. You cannot tell which three legs have been repaired -- the shape, stain, and finish match on all four legs. I have an antique library table that needs some TLC. Artistic Touch is the only place I will go. <br />

I bought an Angies List "deal" for $99 ($200.00 value) to have a piece of furniture refinished. When Blue came to pick it up, he said to do it "right" I would have to pay $125.00 more. This would make the refinishing valued at $325.00. I knew this was too high. It was obvious that he was ignoring the $99.00, and charging full price, but I wanted to get it done....he was there, so, unfortunately, I agreed. I didn't hear from him for weeks and, finally, I started calling him. I was told three different times that they were going to deliver it and didn't, without a courtesy call informing me they weren't. At this point I was afraid that I wasn't going to get it back, so I politely told them I would be happy to come after it. Finally (after weeks), once again, it was scheduled for delivery. I was waiting on them, and received a call. I was told that the paint wouldn't dry (he had done it the night before), and Blue (owner) had gone to buy an "accelerator". Obviously, they had just started working on it, so they couldn't have delivered it when previously promised. I, adamantly, told her that I had waited SO LONG, PLEASE, DO NOT rush the job, now. DON'T USE AN ACCELERATOR! I told her that I wasn't angry, "Please, just do it correctly!. All that matters, is that it is done correctly." I could have cried when they brought it back. I am going to have to have pay again to have it redone. I pointed out to the two delivery people the bubbles in the paint on the top, and how the repair of the nicks on bottom had NOT been done (filled in)....only painted over. I didn't have to point it out.....It screamed at you. They knew it, but didn't care. It looked much worse than when it was picked it up. I told them I was going to give them the $125.00 extra, because that is what I agreed to do, but I wanted them to tell Blue how disappointed I was. I was a fool, but, actually, I wanted them to just GO! This should have been an easy job. I could have done it myself, if I had an area to sand it. It would have been worth the $99 to have a professional to do it. I wish I had NEVER let them take the pedestal! Maybe they can "glue" something back together. Maybe they can "refinish" wood....I don't know, but I would NEVER let them take a piece of furniture. I can't imagine that I am the only person this has happened to. It appeared to be "routine" to them. They didn't care! This is my second nightmare with an Angies List "deal". You get what you pay for (sometimes). <br />

Blue and his team did excellent work. The table looked beautiful and like new went it was finished. This table is a family heirloom that my father built before I was born. I was very unhappy to find that my dog had used it as a chew toy and had chewed the wood on one of the corners. I had tried to repair in the past but just made it look worse. I purchased the $99 big deal on Angie's list. Blue came out to my house to pick up the table and I explained the problem. I read some bad reviews about the company on Yelp and showed him the posting . It turned out to be a disgruntled customer that he had tried to work with but was never satisfied. You can't always believe what you read on Yelp! They stripped down the table, repaired the wood grain and filled in the missing wood and sanded and refinished it. It looks beautiful! They delivered it back to me also. My dad would be happy to see it looking so good again. I am very pleased with their work and craftsmanship and would highly recommend using them. <br />

Artistic Touch was very prompt in calling me and setting up an appointment to look at my antique armoire needing repair. They were on time and concluded after examining it that they would need to take the door in to be repaired. They told me the price based but it would depend on how much refinishing of the door was required to mask the repair. They were finished in less than 4 weeks I and returned it at an agreed time and date. The armoire looks great. The repair is invisible. The price was as quoted. I'm very pleased with the outcome. <br />
