Horrible. Let me start by saying Ashley and Ann were cleaning for me for a few years. The VERY first interaction with Ashley - she no-showed. I had given her a key, she texted to confirm the night before and then I never heard from her for several weeks. She stated she had been hospitalized due to health conditions. I gave her the benefit of the doubt. After that things were better - in fact, I left a previous very positive review about a year or so ago. HOWEVER, please pay close attention to the many of the recent reviews of "F" and no-shows. In fact, if you read Ashley's OWN description of her services - she states her company used to be rated A in 2011, but due to recent reviews/events is now a B. This is due to the fact that she is NOT reliable! On SO many occasions, she would text me to confirm the evening before she was supposed to arrive between 9-9:30 am the following day, however, she would almost never be on time--if she showed up at all. In fact, it almost got to be a 50/50 guessing game of "what would happen this time".... she claimed illnesses, car accidents with deer, car breakdowns, and food poisoning. It is embarrassing for me to even admit that I kept her hired even through ALL of these incidents. But I tried to offer her a good mechanic for her car problems and tried to be very understanding -- though it was quite odd that SO much bad karma could befall one person... and should have been a RED FLAG. A recent excuse was a thumb injury (she even sent a graphic picture of a thumb to me) stating she couldn't wear a glove for 2 weeks. Miraculously however, the following week - she decided she could come and clean when we were out of town... Which is strange, since several articles of clothing of mine have gone missing. I guess I should have been smarter about it. The final straw came when she no-showed yet AGAIN, after I confirmed with her (and detailed areas of the house which really needed her attention, and had been missed by her previously).... 2 weeks later she texted me to come clean like nothing ever happened - claiming she never received my confirmation. This is the most scary part - and something I want to warn everyone about! After I told her that because she was unreliable, I could not have her cleaning for me any longer, she started texting me strings of really nasty, delusional texts. While I tried to keep it professional, she decided to make it personal. She at first stated "I would like to make this right if possible and am deeply saddened to lose you."... However, when I asked her to please just return my key she then texted, "Good luck with your lying dirty nanny and finding someone to clean who is willing to deal with your disgusting house and you disrespecting them...I am happy to be done with you...I made the right decision by being done with your mess." These are quotes - apparently with her perception that she quit, instead of getting fired. I couldn't believe her Jeckyll and Hyde transition-- it was quite unnerving since I have an 8 month old baby - and I need absolute reliability and trustworthiness for anyone in my home. While Ashley, in the past, was able to do a good job, she was no longer reliable and I couldn't trust her in my home. I am a health care professional - and when we see this kind of decline in reliability and performance, as well as an abrupt change in personality - usually substance abuse is to blame. I only mention this because I have nothing to gain from this review - other than my responsibility to warn others of who they might be hiring. If you want affordable, but completely unreliable cleaning - then Ashley is your girl. But I URGE you to not get sucked in....best of luck if you do.

"Thank you for giving me the benefit of the doubt during our first interaction. I called the following day and had not yet been given your house key. You are correct, sometimes I couldn't make scheduled appointments and my rating and OWN description reflect that. I would never confirm the evenings prior with intentions of not showing. There would be no reason to confirm if I wasn't coming. You requested the arrival time to be 30 minutes later last year to allow you more time to leave because you were almost never on time. It's disappointing you think of my illness and past car incidents as a guessing game. You were on my schedule for 232 weeks. 50% of the time? I inconvenienced you over 100 times? I have receipts for 217 weeks of work performed. Thank you for keeping me hired after all my incidents. You must have been happy with my high standard cleaning. Thank you for your automobile referral. Thank goodness for a new car. I cleaned often while you were out of town. I explained on that day"It will take us much longer than usual because Ann cut her thumb and will be one handed for a few weeks." Its hard to believe you question anything being taken. I return loose change to your counters and nightstands. Could it be one of your husbands' teenage daughters (who are all much closer to your size) visiting during the summer? Or out of the country guests? I am unreliable at times. I'm in no way, a thief!! I did confirm with no response because you were out of town. The following appointment was confirmed in addition to a rate raise. After the addition of your 8 month old, 3 teenagers, and a nanny, I couldn't continue to perform the additional work for the 2 hour rate. I'm sorry you were upset that I cant accept cash without paying your portion of sales tax. As I explained-that is tax evasion. You said then that you would like to part ways and asked that I mail your key. I kindly returned your key to your mailbox while in the area and texted I had done so. There were no delusional and scary text. Just this review!!! I didn't think I was fired, nor did I quit. A simple understanding that you are now on a budget that unfortunately I can not meet. I agree, my reliability needs improvement and I'm disappointed after 3 years, I lost your trust. Its awful you think I could be a substance abuser. All employees of AACS have negative drug screenings and clean backgrounds. I'm happy you no longer feel "sucked in" and I wish you luck in finding another efficient yet affordable cleaning company."

Not well. She cancelled the first time. She did contact us to say she was unable to come that day and we rescheduled. The second time she no-showed us. My wife and I both took off work that day to wait for her. She has yet to respond to my text asking what happened. Money was paid. No service was performed. I need to get a refund for this.

We found Ashley’s Affordable Cleaning Service through Angie’s List and have used them for several years on a fairly regular basis. We really appreciate her service. Ashley and Ann are friendly, courteous, and professional. At the same time, they are very hard workers and do not waste any time. They know what needs to be done without a lot of direction. In addition to the routine cleaning, they will also clean specific areas when we ask. They do a very thorough job. We have a dog and they do such a wonderful job of getting up the dog hair, especially in the corners and crevices. We like that the house does not smell of chemicals after cleaning. Each time they come to clean, we know that our house will be beautiful and will be ready for our guests. Ashley is also responsive - when I call her, or text, I know I'll hear from her either that day, or in the next day or so. If there are delays in the schedule, Ashley stays in touch and makes sure that things work out. We are comfortable with them and enjoy having them in our house. We highly recommend Ashley's Affordable Cleaning Service!

I scheduled a time for them to come and do the job. They gave me a window of 9-10 in which they would arrive. At 10:30 I received no word as to why they were not there. I contacted them to reschedule both by message and voicemail. Apparently they did not like the tone of my voice and told me to contact Angie's List for a refund.

It went well. We have used this service on and off (according to our needs) over the past 2+ years. We have been pleased with the thoroughness of the results, and the attention to detail. Once the team became familiar with our house, they did not need further direction as to what to clean, or what our priorities are. We have also used them to clean before Passover, which involves more extensive work. When Ashley needed to reschedule for whatever reason, she was good about contacting us to let us know.

Ashley and Anne have been cleaning our house every week for about 1.5 years now and we are so glad to have found Ashley! She always does a very thorough job and is very good with our three cats. We have also had her cat-sit when we were out of town a few time and she does a great job of this as well. Once when we were gone during the winter the house heater broke but Ashley made sure out cats were comfortable by setting up four space heaters!

Ashley and Ann are an awesome team: friendly, professional and very efficient. Ashley was very conscious of time (your purchased time). I needed three floors of windows washed. I told Ashley the order for the window cleaning. When she neared completion of my list, she let me know that in the remaining time they could do more (a good indication of honesty). Before leaving, Ashley gave me some ideas regarding other projects she could help with that I was planning to do myself. See you soon Ashley.

First, I need to say that this was an Angie's List deal providing 4 man/woman hours of cleaning services, with a regular quoted price of $150. In my opinion, their service would have been a bargain at the regular price. <br>1) They reply promptly to emails <br>2) They show up on time <br>3) Before beginning work, they go over the entire "wish list", then offer suggestions of other ways or materials to use to do the cleaning. They took special care to follow what I did and did not want done, and how I wanted things done. <br>4) They hustle (note that I'm a little crazy in terms of my wish lists - but they got everything done in the time allotted and the results were wonderful.) <br>5) The job was not easy. I have a shoulder injury with a crazy schedule which meant that the house had not been well cleaned for almost 2 months. Dust bunnies everywhere and the bathrooms embarassed me. In addition, it was the first true summer day we've had this year and we don't have air conditioning so the house was warm. I heard no complaints about anything - just a cheerful willingness to do whatever I needed. <br>6) Even if my shoulder heals, I intend to hire this service in the future.

Ashley and Ann did a wonderful job cleaning our home. They arrived on time and did a quick walkthrough to identify areas I wanted them to focus on. Shortly thereafter, they started cleaning and did so diligently throughout their time at our house. I very much appreciated that Ashley gave thoughtful consideration about what areas of the house should be cleaned in what order. We have had other companies clean the house in an illogical order (e.g. floors first). Ashley and Ann also paid attention to the details. All of the trash cans were emptied and new trash bags were inserted and hand mopped the floors. They even cleaned off the foot rest of our daughter's highchair. They were also very thorough. Every surface of our bathroom was wiped down and was sparkling clean. I was impressed at how clean they were able to get the bathtub and tiles in the shower. We were very happy with the service and will certainly hire Ashley and Ann again.

Ashley is responsive and punctual. She is personable and works well with her co-worker. She is an effective communicator and therefor is clear about the clients needs before she begins working. She is very detail oriented. She has the scope of working both surface and deeper cleaning. She takes special care of fragile items and cautiously moves pictures, glassware, etc when needed. She does not mind client asking questions as she is working, regarding the cleaning job. Ashley was also very kind to extend her time when I added a third bathroom at the end of the job. Both her and her co-worker are very kind and personable. As a client, this is very important. Ashley came with her own supplies and brought coverings for her shoes. This protected the carpet which was newly laid the day before the cleaning. She was very cautious the entire time about the new carpet and took a lot of care when walking through the the house with cleaning supplies. I am using this company again today for a rental property in town. Again, Ashley was punctual getting back to me and texted this morning to confirm the time and address. Ashley's company has been taking care of our house cleaning needs for over 7 years. The company does an excellent job. We have 4 children (ages 13, 9, 9, and 8), so our house gets messy. Ashley's company comes every week and consistently does an excellent job. She offers excellent value for the price. We plan to stay with her indefinitely. <br />

They arrived on time and were both friendly and professional. The worked on my home for a solid two hours and periodically checked with me to ensure they had completed the work to my satisfaction.
