The drain in my basement overflowed for the second time in a couple weeks on a Friday afternoon. The person who had worked on it before had already come twice in two days because the first time he couldn't find a drain pipe that would make it easier to get the snake down. He suggested we might want to tear up the carpet in our family room to find it (like that was going to happen). He came back the second day and snaked through the drain in the laundry room. He did get through the blockage but must have only made a small hole through it because the water was backed up again in less than a week. Again, water and gunk are all over my laundry room. My emergency call was met with a promise that he would get to me sometime on Monday. Monday! Seriously, I couldn't wait three days without water, and I certainly couldn't let the gunk continue to cover my laundry room for the weekend. So, I called around to get someone who was available Friday afternoon. I called another local company, but they weren't able to come out and directed me to Associated Plumbing who had someone at my house within a couple hours. The man inspected the crawlspace that had been flooded during the previous week's catastrophe, and in just a couple minutes, he was able to find the elusive pipe and got down to work. After a few wacks, he decided the pipe was too old and he didn't want to put too much pressure on it and break the pipe, so through the drain he went. The guy was at my house for a good hour or so. He pulled out some gunk and a few roots, and I was back in business. The price was lower than the other guy, and the service and work were far superior. He even gave me a couple suggestions about the pipe and told me to call back if there was a problem. All in all, I am very satisfied and will call Associated Plumbing the next time I am in need of a plumber.

The work was done competently and professionally, with full explanation of the scope and cost of the project. The service person carried with him an inventory of faucet replacement options, eliminating delay between diagnosis of the problem and completion of the work to fix it. High cost was a bit of a surprise, but the job was completed in a timely way, with complete customer satisfaction.

Plumber arrived 3 hours later than scheduled and didn't call to let me know how late they were running - I had to call them to find out where they were. No apology for being so late. When the plumber arrived he said he did not have "the right size snake" for my standard drain and said he would have to come back tomorrow, though he tried to sell me a much more expensive procedure instead. I was charged for both visits and the charge for the snaking out the following day was about $50 more than I had paid another company to do it previously.

"Hello, Thank you for your review! We appreciate all feedback, both positive & negative ratings help make us a better service company. I did a complete search of our database and the only record of us being at your home was March 30, 2004. That service call was for a leaking TPR valve on a water heater. The above description certainly doesn't reflect the service that most of our customer's experience. Unfortunately, we have no record of being to your address since 2004 and we were definitely not there on Jan. 29th - Jan 31st, 2017. Please feel free to email or call me to provide updated information in case the above name and address does not accurately reflect the job information. Honest & accurate reviews help us and all Angie's List members! Thank you, Kevin Conway Michigan Master Plumber #81-10253 (734) 663-0055 x101"

I had a new bathroom countertop installed and needed the new faucets and drains fitted and installed. The new faucets were wide set and required adjustments from the old [plumbing. Everything was done perfectly. He even fixed my leaky faucet in the kitchen! I had to leave for a chore before he was done. He locked up my house for me when he left and left his bill. I so appreciated that! These guys are like neighbors to me and it's great to do business with a local company I can trust. Thanks, Kevin Conway!

One of our sump pumps began continuosly running so we called Associated plumbing. We spoke to Kevin on the phone who said the pump switch had likely failed and after a few more questions recommended we get a new pump. They were able to send a technician named Logan that same afternoon who promptly replaced the pump and answered questions regarding drainage in our basement. This conversation lead to inspection of our other sump on the other side of the basement. Turns out the other pump wasn't working at all so we had that one replaced the next day. In that visit we also had a poorly running basement sink that Logan fixed as well as seal up a basement bathroom toilet pump. Logan did a great job, was friendly and clearly took pride in his work. We are very pleased with the service we received.

Great! Turned out the leak was due to a faulty gasket ... Problem was identified quickly, replacement part was on the truck, and the whole job was completed in under 30 minutes.

They had to come back a couple of times. They said it was cleared out but then it really wasn't. The first guy just didn't seem to get everything together and didn't complete the job and we had to get someone else to come out. Then there was an issue about the billing and whether they were going to charge me for 2 service calls or one. I didn't think I should be charged for a second trip if it was their fault that they didn't send someone that was qualified.

The repair was fine. My only issue was that this is an Ann Arbor company, we live in Ann Arbor, and they charged us a $72.00 "truck fee" for driving here. Gas money I guess. They really need to explain their fees before they come out so people can make an informed decision

They found the leak which required cutting into the ceiling of the kitchen and replacing a pipe joint with a new segment. Leak is gone.
