Asthetic Connection

Aesthetic is not spelled asthetic, first warning sign. This project has been a nightmare. Donald took advantage of me and my situation completely. I am a low income single mom, but I had money saved for this project. He was so nice in the beginning until he used all the money. He would always tell me how bad my home was. The room he was working on was 12x12 feet roughly, very small. At one point he said I should consider asking my mother for help because I told him I did have that for a backup. It scares me to think that my mom would have also lost money to this person. He rarely worked consecutive days. I would ask him to tell me when he was coming and he never did. He would just show up at his convenience. Sometimes he would go 2-3 weeks without showing up, always having an excuse. Several times he showed up very late in the evening staying until around 10pm! I hired him to do a job not listen to his financial problems. I gave him a down payment and a couple weeks later he gave me a sob story about his life and how he needed more money for supplies. I was an idiot and paid him because I wanted the job completed. Donald would persuade me to use materials he received for free. He would do things without telling me. My laundry/bathrooms are tiny, but he used different tiles in adjoining rooms without telling me. When I spoke to him about anything he was belligerent. I have many saved texts of him berating me and swearing. His language was awful. I had a neighbor complain about it. He left cigarette butts on the grass. The contract states the projects would be finished around the end of January with some lenience, well, it is May 2021, he started in November 2020. He never finished and forget about the other bathroom. His van leaked on my driveway. If I confronted him, he would say I was harassing him and that he was going to sue me. He complained all the time. I was sick of it. I have had nightmares about this. Donald covered up the drain in my laundry area because he couldn't get the tile cut right. He messed up the hose to my washer and it still leaks. I had to contact an attorney for advice. I have had a couple inspections and was told the job was very substandard and electrical and plumbing are not in code. Donald didn't finish the siding and left everything partially finished. He tiled the shower and there is a cracked tile in the front that he said he didn't do! It is obvious he grouted in a broken tile. When I called to ask when he was going to come again he would be very upset saying he had other jobs to do. Recently he said he was done with me and I told him I would take that as him bailing out for good. He always blames everyone else for problems. He would berate me and blame me for things. But after he used all my money, he became a different person and didn't want to finish. So, here I am trying to hire someone to help. Donald didn't do my three doors and I have to take out the shower floor because it won't drain. Unfortunately I will probably have to take him to court for breach of contract. I really tried to work with him. He has a violent temper and a violent past. I wish so much I would have researched him and his work. I regret trusting him and giving him the benefit of the doubt. Good luck if you hire him, you have been warned. He may be able to do small projects but he did not know what he was doing. It seemed like he was winging it. Very frustrating and upsetting.

I like Don’s work and attitude. He is a get it done guy. He lets you know if problems arise in his schedule. He works hard to please and goes the extra mile to take care of issues.

Did the job as stated at the price quoted. Found additional turned over shingles and fixed them for no extra cost. Great guy, great to work with!

It was not a good experience. I paid him for not completing the job. I requested a refund, but he hung up on me. He didn't come prepared at all to what I wanted him to do. It was not completed professionally. I had to re do the work. He took extra time because his equipment is not appropriate with the job. I wasted money on it. He was nice to me at first before I told him I wasn't happy with service.

Work done was very professional. Very friendly & communication was easy to understand.
