A+ Superior Home Solutions

Very concerning business practices. I contracted out with A+ Superior Home Solutions to perform some work at my house. To say it's difficult to communicate with the owner James Odom is an understatement. The project is outstanding after 7 months, and I'm unable to reach the contractor - calls, texts, emails are not returned. The last communication I received was a promise that someone would be out to work on the job 'next week.' That was in December of 2018, over 3 months ago. Aside from not finishing the contracted project, the house has been left in disarray with supplies and trash left everywhere.

The interior painters left paint on the floors and light switches, and when they replaced the wall plates for plugs and lights, they used a variety of colors. They didn't pull nails and screws out of the walls, they just painted over them. When they replaced some doors, they didn't reattach the handles and we no longer have them, so we had to buy new ones. Both my husband and I met with the provider separately and asked the contractor to get the gas meter replaced because we were getting ready to sell the house and it didn't have one. We needed a certified plumber to do the work, and the contractor told us both that it wouldn't be an issue. When the work was finished, the gas meter was not installed. When we contacted the plumber that worked on the job, he explained that he was never told about the gas meter. When we had him come out and look at it, he said there was a leak in the gas line and that it would cost us even more to have it fixed. We have paid the bill in full and it's now a week later. They still haven't given back our keys, so in addition to everything else, we will have to get our locks changed.

<p>Bill Roberts did the job, he and his brother Kevin had to come out twice just to do the estimate correctly and naturally it was higher than the original. Bill did the job and as I have heart problems and was not able to go out into the heat I paid him in full. When I realized that the work was not completed I began calling Bill on a fairly regular basis to come out and finish what he had bee</p> <p>n paid for Bill has made several appointments and showed up once to finish, did not let me know he was leaving and when I went outside the work left was not completed. I called and called him, he apologized and kept giving me more dates that he never showed up for or called to reschedule.. I also had him take measurements to install a new countertop in my kitchen when I couldn't get an estimate he said he had given it to his brother and had not received an estimate as yet that was on 5/7/2015.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>My husband and I are senior citizens and I have a heart problem and my husband has Parkinson's disease Bill took advantage of us</p>  by not completing his work or having the courtesy to return a call and cancel after he made an appointment. Very disappointing and I realize I have no recourse with the money we paid the company but I hope this review helps someone else looking for a contractor. By the way the spa gate is hanging up again Bill didn't even fix that properly now I have no idea about the rest of the work performed. <br />

Let me just start by telling you how great Kimberly, who you will speak to first, is.  She was super responsive to all of my inquiries. And just an all around super pleasant person.   James is a real nice guy, he came out, was really professional and knew exactly what I was looking for.  His crew was great especially at the small things and details.  They used quality products and did a great job.  Job was done in two days and they took all the trash with them.   <strong>I would highly recommend A+ to any and all of you out there.</strong> <br />

had some delays in getting work done because of rain.  Did not come one day when I was expecting them.  I called them; there had been a miscommunication.  Office people were nice to work with.  Painters were also nice to work with.  Exterior work was done in one day.  The interior work was done the next morning. <br />

They arrived on time and did a good job. They were able to clean a pretty dirty driveway very well.

We were looking for someone to do a lot of maintenance and repair work on our house, mainly to power-wash the whole exterior, replace rotted wood trim and panels, paint the exterior, and replace panels on our sun-roof that had warped and split with the passage of time. We contacted A+ Superior by e-mail, and they got back to us within 24 hours. James came out to look over the work and give us an estimate a few days later. Basically, I just pointed at something that needed work, and he immediately understood what I wanted. He sent me a quote by e-mail, and we felt the price was reasonable, as it involved quite a bit of work. The rainy weather kept him from coming back immediately, but the office contacted us and said when to expect him. He and his crew showed up as promised and went right to work. They did a fine job, taking as long as was needed to do the work well, but no longer. We are thoroughly pleased. <br />

Our initial contact with A+ happened right when they were in the middle of a move to a bigger facility. It took about a month of back and forth contact to get the job bid and rolling. Once we agreed to everything A+ jumped on the job and knocked it out. They were punctual and professional all the way through. After they finished the job, my wife and I were unhappy with the choice of primary exterior color. Distraught, my wife contacted the owner and two of his men agreed to come out the very next day, Saturday, and repaint the exterior again. We were very impressed with their craftsmanship and attitude. We will definately use them again for future projects.

Used the deal on Angies List. They came out on time and did a great job. Very thorough and professional. Would use again!!! <br />

Two workers stayed at it until done - excellent craftsmanship on the repair work.

Jame's crew did an excellent job on all work performed. They powerwashed my entire home, removed all rotted wood and underlayment and replaced it Hardi plank, the painted the complete exterior. I now have the best looking home on my styreet. I wo uld use him again, no problem. <br />

They were great and did a good job. They did not make any mess.

Completed the work exactly as discussed and agreed to...plus a little bit more(painted flashing).  Installed hardy siding on chimney structure as discussed in proposal.  House looks great.  Mrs. commented that it looks like a new house after the repaint.  You should not have any concerns about using James Odem for this type of work. <br />

Before I came across this company, I had been going through a nightmare of trying to get bids on work we needed done outside and inside our house in anticipation of putting it up for sale. People either wouldn?t ever call back or, even worse, would come over, look at everything, and then never get back to us. The one contractor who did, gave us a bid that we considered exorbitant. <br /> Enter James and A+ Superior Home Solutions.  He came over, submitted a bid which we thought was more than reasonable, and we hired him. He and his crew showed up on time, and got right to work, which they finished in two days! Considering everything we needed done, I considered that a feat in and of itself. <br /> On the outside, the house was power washed, a brick in the wall was replaced, and all the rotted wood?which was a considerable amount--plus boards were replaced. All our gutters were torn down, and a sagging fence was shored up.  Boards were replaced on a gate, and outdoor carpet was laid on our patio. Then, our two-story house was painted. On the inside, we had several faucets installed, doors and trim in a couple of rooms were painted, vinyl tile was installed in a small toilet area, a bathroom exhaust fan was installed, and all bathtubs were caulked <br /> All the workers were very efficient, and did excellent work.  What impressed me was the fact that James was there for most of the first day, and several hours the next. I liked the fact that the owner was there to oversee the work. The other thing that impressed me was that James ended up doing things that were above and beyond what he was supposed to do, and for that I?m very grateful. He saved me from doing a lot of physical work that I really didn?t want to do, but was going to so we could save money. Now I?ll have the energy to do other things that need to be done, but are less taxing physically. It went fabulous!  James came out for an estimate.  Gave me one on the spot!  Very competitive pricing!  We arranged a start time.  The A+ Superior team showed up exactly when promised. <br /> James's team was very good, very efficient and very well liked.  3 days later I had  a fantastic looking house done exactly as I wanted, and done with excellent quality and attention to detail. <br /> I was very impressed and would recommend to anyone needing their house painted. <br /> Top Notch work!

They did a great job. The owner was here every single day, he didn't just give me an estimate and then disappear. His price was good, compared to all the other estimates that we got.

The A+ team arrived at my house May 20 to pressure wash and prep my house and shed for painting.  They diligently pressure washed everything in sight ... house, shed, ramps to shed, patio, and more.  Even my windows sparkled.  They repaired my eaves, broken gutter, and door molding ... and probably other items I'm not even aware of at this time.  <br /> On May 21, they painted the house and shed to perfection.  Not a drop of paint was on my windows, ground around the house, roof or hardware fixtures.  They used high quality paint with a mildrew protectant, and I couldn't be more pleased with their work. <br /> Many thanks to James and his team! <br />

I was very satisfied with KWpainter -A+ Superior Painting and Home Solutions. They showed up promptly and did a good job, they pressure washed the whole house, they cleaned the siding and did some repair work on the porch and the sheetrock on the ceiling. Their price was better than another quote that I had received.
