At Ease Construction

I have used them multiple times before for roof repair and remodeling my utility room. They are very prompt. I feel their prices are very reasonable. They also do very good work. I am going to use them again in the near future.

At Ease was the right choice for us from the get-go. The crew of this company has over 30 years experience and a dedicated owner.  AND she's a woman!  Crissy came to the house to do several walk-throughs before she was hired to make sure her bids were specific and detailed for each jobs.  Our house is about 3800 square feet which was bought "as is" from the bank.  It needed some work to accommodate a handicapped child and some renovation due to poor maintenance over the years.   <br /> She answered many questions before we accepted the bids and signed the contract.  Crissy is even experienced with design, so she was able to do blueprints of the kitchen very quickly.  During the project, other issues came up and we relied on At East to bid and complete additional work.  This included tearing out the bottom two vertical feet of the entire interior basement wall (including removing tubs & vanities), then replacing them all and rebuilding the walls. The additional work added about another two weeks on to the whole project, but they were very flexible and worked hard to get it done on time. <br /> The house had various basement leaking issues when we bought it, which became more apparent as the project went on. The basement flooded after a rain, which required us to make some costly decisions. They performed a ground excavation around the exterior of the home to install a better gutter & drainage system to move water away from the house and water proof the exterior. After the next rain - no leaks.  Even though they were not acting as a general contractor for our entire remodeling job, the foreman always kept a keen eye out for what was going on with other contractors (floor installation, basement repair company and deck build) and kept us informed of how things were moving a long and if any problems came up. That was way over and above their job description. <br /> The company is unique in that it has a website with a client portal where clients can login in privately and see detailed photos and descriptions of how the project is moving along. She even provided a calendar so we knew what they were doing and when; and when target dates were.  Crissy is also experienced with design, which made her even more valuable when trying to visualize our kitchen. <br /> Crissy answered emails and voicemails promptly and was very reliable. She and her crew were very knowledgeable and made you feel... well... "at ease."  She broke down bids specifically and did everything in a professional and documented manner. There were no surprises. Nothing was over budget and all estimates were spot on.  Crissy even took some of her own time to complete small miscellaneous projects and various cleaning tasks to make sure the job was done right.  Her crew was sociable and polite and knew their jobs well. <br /> Crissy's father is her project manager and knows just about everything there is to know about construction and explained things to us where we could understand them.  They take being family owned seriously and treated us like family too. <br /> When the project was done she did a complete, thorough walk through with us and we were pleased at how clean everything was after the big remodel job. <br /> I would recommend At Ease for any job, small or large.  They are coming back to install a concrete handicap ramp and new windows in a couple of months. <br />
