.It went remarkably well considering nothing in my house is plumb. These guys went the extra mile to obtain the correct interior trim and were very tolerant of me when I broke the lock. The locked position for this particular lock is vertical. I did not realize this and used vise grips and a dish towel. I have marked the open position above the lock.

Jason was great - a hero in the wake of burst pipes and soggy carpet! While the other big-name, national companies were slow to return calls and had long wait times for service, he made time the same day I called to visit the condo, remove and haul off the ruined carpet, and recommend an efficient, solid plan of action. His manner was kind and reassuring, and his work was excellent. We will definitely call Jason again, not only for emergency repair but also the ongoing maintenance of our home.

The service went well. They did a very good job and they were very easy and honest to work with. The cost was more expensive than I thought it would be. They did a very good job and they were very easy and honest to work with. We did add service and I would recommend getting concrete numbers so you are not surprised by the final cost. This was not completely their fault as I was not firm about getting the total cost. I would definitely use them again and recommend them. Jason is a stand up guy and does really good work.

They were excellent! Extremely efficient and they even shaved the closet doors down to fit the frame. They spent about 4 hours with 2 men which is much less than I expected.

It is hard to write a negative review of a company, but unfortunately, this one has to be written.
We hired Atlanta?s Fix It Guys to do some major renovations on our new house. The project was originally budgeted at just over $20,000 and included installing insulation and walls in a garage and garage loft, remodeling a bathroom, building a deck, installing new flooring in a bedroom and installing a variety of light fixtures. We chose Atlanta?s Fix It Guys based on their review on Angie?s List, their proposed price and timeline, and some original ideas that Jason (the owner) had for some of the remodeling. Jason estimated 2 ½ weeks for the project, and promised that the crew would work 7:00am-9:00pm every day until the project was done. Jason seemed like a knowledgeable contractor and we thought we would like working with him.
As soon as we signed the contract, we began to have concerns about the timeline. For the first 3 days, the only work that happened was one guy pulling up carpet in the bedroom. Jason explained that he was pulling other guys from projects that were finishing up and they would be full steam ahead in just a few days. Every day that went by, we became more concerned about the progress and Jason was on the job less and less. I tried contacting him on a daily basis for updates. Jason rarely answered his phone or returned phone calls, so I have almost all of our correspondence over email, which shows an ongoing concern about the progress.
To be balanced, we did run into some unexpected repairs with the flooring support structures in the bathroom, which Jason said should add two days to the project, but took much longer. And those repairs are the ones that were completed with the best workmanship. Unfortunately, that is the only aspect of the project I can say we were satisfied with.
Almost every time I was at the house during the day, his foreman told me he was at Home Depot getting supplies or the tendinitis in his arm was acting up. After trying to talk with him in person for almost a week, I expressed my frustrations to his foreman, and got a nasty email from Jason instructing me not to talk to his employees about my concerns. He also claimed at that time that he had injured his arm doing the structural work a week earlier, at which point we discovered that he is not licensed as his Angie?s List listing indicates and shouldn't have been doing the structural work in the first place. We also found out in searching for his license status that the address he lists as his business is not a real address according to USPS or Google Maps.
After Thanksgiving, neither Jason nor his crew showed for over a week, even though he promised every day that they would be there working. During this time, we realized that they had taken some inexcusable shortcuts. Part of the project was to insulate the walls of the garage (which is large ? 60?x35?x14?ceilings). When we had an exhaust installed by an HVAC company in the garage, we discovered that Atlanta?s Fix It Guys did not install any insulation in the top 1/3 of the garage. Jason said that they planned to go back and blow in the insulation later, but they had already returned the insulation blower and there was no insulation left at the house. Every other contractor we interviewed to finish the job said that his explanation of how he was going to install the insulation was impossible without cutting access holes in between every stud or cutting off the top 4 inches of the interior walls all the way around the garage, so I honestly believe they never intended to put in that insulation. They also did really careless installations on some other things, including putting the new bathroom floor over the HVAC ductwork and the new bathroom walls over the electrical outlet. In the the garage loft, the vinyl floor they installed came up the first time we vacuumed. The walls they installed in the loft were sloppily nailed in, with waves on the walls and bent nails sticking out of the walls. In the bathroom, the new plumbing for the toilet was installed too close to the wall, so it had to be moved in order to install the wall covering and still be able to connect the toilet. They left the most difficult aspects of the job, including all of the finish work and all of the trash, which cost over $500 to remove.
After 10 days of no work, Jason suggested that he refund the amount we had overpaid and find someone else to finish the work. I think he realized that there was no way he could finish the work for the price he quoted and would lose money if he actually completed the project. We both signed an agreement that he would return $2200. We received $1200 and Atlanta?s Fix It Guys removed their remaining materials and scaffolding with a promise for the rest in 4 days. A week later, Jason showed up with $800 and a form for me to sign that I wouldn't write any reviews of his company. While I would really like to have the $800, I was completely offended by the condition that he wouldn't give it to me unless I agreed not to review his company.
We ended up paying Atlanta?s Fix It Guys $11,400 for the work they did, and received a $1200 refund (and are still waiting for the other $1000 we contractually agreed to). We have spent more than that just trying to finish up the projects he started, and had to completely eliminate the deck from our plans because our budget has been shot. We are also now several weeks past our initial completion date. It is almost impossible to find a contractor who will finish someone else?s work, especially when some of that work wasn?t done correctly.
I wish some of the most recent reviews of Atlanta?s Fix It Guys were available before we hired them. It appears that in at least our project and another recent project, Jason over promised and then just didn?t finish the work. Atlanta?s Fix It Guys may be fine for projects that only need a few hours, but Jason?s budgeting and time management turned our project into an absolute nightmare.

I purchased the contractor for a week deal from Jason in June. We had just bought a house and had several projects we wanted to get done around the house and Jason came over and we walked through everything. Here is the problem- Jason is a nice guy, the work he and his guys actually completed was mostly ok. Unfortunately, it literally took months to get any of it done. He would tell me he was coming and never show up or let me know. And not just once or twice, but no exaggeration, at least half a dozen times. I purchased the contractor for a week deal from Jason in June. We just bought a house and had several projects we wanted to get done around the house (a stair rail built for a few stairs, a rusting pipe to be replaced and a door to be closed in were the big things) and Jason came over and we walked through everything. Here is the problem- Jason is a nice guy, the work he and his guys actually completed was mostly ok. Unfortunately, it literally took months to get any of it done. He would tell me he was coming and never show up or let me know. And not just once or twice, but no exaggeration, at least ten times. I can't remember how many times he said he'd be finished that week and then come for a day or half of day and then leave and not come back. He was having trouble figuring out how to install the rail and I don't tho k he realized how long his worker would take to close in the door. As if that's not enough, he gave us a bill for materials half way through the job (for $900) which we promptly paid, but asked for an itemized list or receipts- which he never gave us. Then, the last time I saw him he was going to be installing the wrought iron rails for our stair rail, but when I got home he had installed wooden rails instead. He never notified me that he had changed the plan and we had obviously already paid for the wrought iron materials. By this point, we were so fed up. I was 9 months pregnant and the project that should have taken a week was in its 3rd month. He never called and apologized, and we didn't want to deal with him anymore even though he hadn't finished the project. Then, out of nowhere, a few weeks later, he sends me an email to say he will be coming by to finally change the rusty pipe in a couple of days time but that I wouldn't even need to be there. Guess what? We never heard or saw him again. Not sure why he bothered to send the email at all! We ended up paying another company to do it and it was finished in a day. Sorry, Jason. I really wanted to be able to recommend you, but the project management was awful. The communication was abominable, and in the end I don't think we had a good deal at all. He was overwhelmed with work and our project was his lowest priority on the list. Disappointing!!!

Atlanta's fix it guys tackled our project head on. With little notice they were able to schedule and complete the project quickly. Jason's team was able to evaluate the project, assess the materials needed to complete the job and got to work! We are so thrilled with outcome and quick turn around that we have used them for many numerous projects around the house. My husband and I highly recommend Atlanta's Fix it Guys!
Atlanta's Fix it Guys were very professional and on time. They completed the repair within the two hour window and they also sealed all of the vent pipes to prevent future leaking around those pipes. Since I still had time left, they asked me if there was anything else that needed repair and could be completed within the two hours.
Jason and his crew really came through for us. He built an extremely solid ramp, at the proper angle of incline, to help my dog go in and out without help. He found the right kind of traction tape, and he painted the ramp too. He was very patient with all my questions, and he was clearly committed to getting this job right. He was also great about coming out and doing it right away, which was also appreciated. Thanks so much!

The final work is beautiful. The projects they completed for me included: installing a new bathroom sink, installing new closet sliding doors, updating ceiling light fixtures and installing a new front door.
Each time the team arrived very professional and nice. All work was discussed upfront and cost estimated. The final product is perfect for my home.
Melinda

My experience with AtlantasFixItGuys started out with some challenges around scheduling, but the owner, Jason, worked very hard to make things right and to turn a negative into a positive. The initial problems with the schedule were understandably complicated by the severe flash flooding and heavy rains we had in Atlanta the week they were scheduled to do the work at my house. It caused them to get behind, which I understand can have a domino effect on the schedule.

To help resolve those issues, Jason contacted me immediately (on a Friday night) and offered to come out the very next day (a Saturday) to do our work, and showed up exactly when he said he would. He and his team worked quickly and did a great job hanging a very heavy mirror in a master bathroom, a job that was complicated by some drywall issues that ended up requiring larger anchors than normal. I do a lot of this type of work around the house myself, but was out of my comfort zone on this one. These guys assessed the problem quickly and came up with a creative solution, and the mirror not only looks great now, but is solidly on the wall and I don't think the hardware holding it up will be coming out of the wall any time soon!

One of the hallmarks of great customer service is when a service provider or business owner goes out of his way to make something right for the customer after there has been a problem or complaint. That is exactly what Jason did, and for that reason, and the great work they did, I will hire these guys again any time I have jobs to do around the house that I am not comfortable doing. In fact, before he left, I had Jason give me a quote on some other things we need to have done in the near future.

Bottom line is these guys are good at what they do, treat their customers well and go above and beyond to make the customer happy and to resolve any problems that arise.
Everything went great. This is the third project that Atlanta's Fix It Guys has completed for us. As always Jason and his crew are very pleasant to be around, clean and polite. They showed up early and worked late everyday. Very hard workers. Jason was very patient with me when we started the design process. I gave him a list of ideas and pictures of what we were looking for. He designed 3/4 of the kitchen and we are still blow away with the creative eye he has. We were fortunate to have them working on the kitchen when we had a large oak tree fall on the house. They all rushed into action cutting the tree out, removing the debris and getting everything closed in for my family to be safe. They worked non stop in the rain, ( I felt terrible for them!) The tree damaged pushed our completion date for the kitchen up 2 weeks which was fine with us considering everything that was going on. They have been our go to guys for everything and will continue to be for any future projects. My neighbors are impressed as well with all the beautiful work. Thank you all for a job well done.
