Great. The crew arrived on time, did an excellent job and did a good clean up afterward.

This is a warning for those who may be considering hiring Br*** and Sa*** for their next house remodeling or repair. Before hiring them, check any and all review sites. Especially check the Better Business Bureau which they claim on Angies List and several other sites to be award winning. They lost their accreditation on BBB and are still falsely advertising. THAT in itself goes toward their integrity. Do your research on this contractor. It may alarm you to what you find. Best of luck.

This is a second review as new evidence has surfaced showing the poor workmanship performed by Br***'s employees and, more importantly Br***'s lack of supervision and quality control. I noticed this imperfection a few days ago. Unfortunately, I do not feel confident that Br*** would respond to my request to fix this problem due to him failure to respond to previous requests through phone calls, texts, AND Better Business Bureau complaints concerning warranty documents that are required for the vinyl siding. Br*** boasts on how great his company is and that he has over 30 years experience. He makes a great sale, but failed to deliver in our case. My advice to anyone who hires this contractor is, inspect EVERY inch of their work on a daily basis. I did this and caught many of their mistakes. Unfortunately, I missed this one. I personally wouldn't hire this contractor for any further work nor would I recommend him.

At the on 26 March 2016 we entered into a contract with Atlantic Coastal Enterprises specifically to install vinyl siding on the entire house(home size 1250 sq ft), construct new walls on rear enclosed porch and install 5 windows and 1 door, build a front porch, extend the garage by 7 feet, and install stone on the chimney and front of garage. The price was reasonable and both Br*** and Sa*** started off very professional and sounded convincing that this would be a low stress venture. The job began with the rear porch. It got completed in April(took 3 days to complete). The vinyl siding began next on 12 May 2016. That was an ongoing project until the house was completed. On 23 June 2016, construction began on the front porch(took 3 days to complete). Next was the garage extension which began on 28 June 2016(took 2 days from the time they poured the concrete to completion). I could keep going on the detailed account of each phase of completion. The point that I wish to make clear is this. The individual subcontractors that Atlantic Coastal Enterprises hired were excellent. Atlantic Coastal Enterprise themselves was substandard. The most detailed portion of the job which was the porch, garage, and chimney(keep in mind, this also was the last items to be completed and all done by subcontrators)only took 38 days to complete. The entire job finally was completed on 16 August 2016(4 1/2 months to complete). The excuses that I received was rain, we changed our minds too much when choosing the colors, and finally, that most of the material was special order. Let’s analyze this for a moment. The vinyl came in pretty quick so choice of color wasn’t an issue there. Oh. The corners. That must be it. Not!!! We changed our minds on this only after Br*** realized that he received the wrong size. Furthermore, I checked on everything. The vinyl and the stone was the only special order and the stone only became a special order after receiving stone that wasn’t even close to what we had looked at originally. Even then, the stone that WE went and personally pick out at the stone store only took seven days to be delivered. Communication was usually an issue. The majority of the time when I would call or text either Br*** or Sa*** for questions or complaints they would either take a few days to respond or not respond at all. There was also an incident where one of their employees was drinking on the job and Br*** didn’t seem very concerned. I was constantly having to remind their employees to clean up the trash at the end of the day. Overall, we had a very poor and unprofessional experience with Atlantic Coastal Enterprises. We would not recommend this company to hire for anyone.

I am using the name of the owners and the name of the company deliberately, as when I look back on the Angie's List reviews for this company, bad/negative reviews have responses from the company that simply say "wrong company." I want to ensure that both Angie's List and other potential customers understand EXACTLY what people and company I am reviewing.  <br /> 29 July 2015, After they missed the first appointment for an estimate by Brian and Sarah Bryce at Atlantic Coastal Enterprises, they come to our house. They quote a reasonable price, and tell us that work can be completed in one day. <br /> 31 July 2015, my husband takes the deposit and the contract to Brian and Sarah Bryce's home (over an hour roundtrip). Work is to be accomplished on 6 August. <br /> 6 August 2015 <br /> <ul> <li> - 8:22, I call the company to ask when the workers will arrive. There is no answer, and the voicemail box is full.</li> <li> - 8:23, Sarah calls back. I ask when the workers will arrive; she tells me she will call Brian and then let me know.</li> <li> - 8:33, Sarah texts to let me know that Brian is picking up a dump trailer from another job to bring to our house.</li> <li> - 10:59, I text Sarah as Brian hasn't shown up and ask when workers are going to arrive.</li> <li> - 12:37, I call Sarah's phone. No answer, and the voicemail box is full.</li> <li> - 13:14, Sarah texts me: "Brian is headed there now."</li> <li> - 14:16, I send Sarah a text, asking where Brian is. Sarah texts back, writing that the weather has put the workers behind, and asks me if the "materials have arrived."</li> <li> - 14:34, I call Sarah's phone. No answer, and the voicemail box is full. I text back and express extreme dissatisfaction. I tell her to either cancel the deposit of our check or to cut us a check for the amount of the deposit, and to bring the check to my house immediately. </li> <li> - No further response from Sarah or Brian, and they don't come to the house to bring the check.</li> <li></li> <li>8 August 2015</li> </ul> <ul> <li> - 8:32, I text Sarah and tell her that I want my deposit back, that the lack of communication has been a significant issue, and that I've lost the core component in a business-customer relationship--trust.</li> <li> - 10:05, Sarah texts back that they cannot work on the roof in the rain. (It was not raining on 6 August when they were supposed to fix the roof. I have proof of this through Weather Underground local weather station report histories). Sarah's text goes on (and on) and says that I called her a "liar" (I did tell her that she knew that the materials had not arrived in response to her 6 August 2015 14:16 text), and then writes that she will not communicate with me further because she's "not going to be disrespected."</li> <li> - 12:12, Sarah texts me a photograph of some materials and types "This is your roof." (This in spite of her saying she wouldn't communicate with me further.) A further text explains that there was a crew scheduled to be at my house in the morning, but it was raining, so they're on standby. </li> </ul> <br /> I planned on telling a crew, if they showed up, that I did not want them on my property. But, they did not show up. <br /> 10 August 2015 <br /> I return at 9am to my house from an overnight trip, and there is a crew on my roof taking off the old roof. (My husband was out of town as well, so no one was home. If so much of the roof hadn't already been removed, I would have stopped the workers then.) The crew has parked in my neighbor's yard (in fact, almost at their back door) and there are materials all over my neighbor's driveway. At the first meeting with Brian and Sarah, my husband and I had communicated that we had to coordinate carefully with our neighbors for the roofers to have access. That message was apparently not heeded. <br /> 11 August 2015 <br /> The one day job is taking another full day. Workers finish. They leave roofing nails on porch roof, extension cord plugged in, and garbage in neighbor's driveway and in the lot on the other side of our house (which is not our property). I collect the garbage and the cord and place it on our front porch. <br /> 15 August 2015 <br /> Sarah emails my husband asking for remainder of money. My husband texts back and says he will be glad to pay when job is complete (pick up the garbage, get the roofing nails off the porch roof, pick up extension cord, and ensure the newly-installed vents are properly caulked). He indicates that he will mail a check when this work is done. Sarah sends photos via text, but my husband requests a final work report. Sarah responds with a text about rotten wood that they replaced (over the front door). <br /> 18 August 2015 <br /> - 15:15, After no response from Sarah or Brian, my husband recontacts Sarah via text with the same request, and ensures payment will be sent after completion. <br /> - Sarah texts back saying that Brian will come to our house the next day to look at the work. <br /> 19 August 2015 <br /> - 12:22, Sarah contacts my husband via, and asks when my husband is available. He says he's not immediately available, and reiterates his request. <br /> - Sarah responds with a payment demand, texting "the job was complete over a week ago." <br /> - 13:39, my husband responds via text and says the work is not done. <br /> - 17:30, Brian, Sarah, and another truck-full of workers arrive at our house. Brian is very belligerent and demands money or else he'll "rip the f****** roof off right now." My husband calls the police. The police arrive, and several of the Atlantic Coastal Enterprises workers have warrant issues, so the police call for further help. There are 5 police cars and 7 officers at our house at one point. The police supervise one of the workers as he cleans the roofing nails up, and picks up the garbage and the extension cord. Brian demands payment, and my husband says he will mail a certified check the following day. He does so, and Sarah signs for it. <br /> October 2015 <br /> Significant rain. Enormous leak inside our house. My husband calls another contractor, (because he says he won't have Brian and Sarah Bryce and/or their company, Atlantic Coastal Enterprises, on our property again) and the other roofer fixes the roof on 18 November 2015. The other roofer says that the first problem was that Atlantic Coastal Enterprises had nailed between two boards and then had apparently ruined another board and replaced it with a board 1/2" thinner and shingled over that, causing a depression where the water collected, found entry in through the nail hole, and caused a significant leak within the house.  <br /> I have screenshots of all the texts sent to me and my husband by Sarah Bryce. <br />   <br />

Called and talked to Sarah.  She and Brian came within 2 days.  Brian examined the area where a new decorative vent had been put in as well as a new vent boot.  Brain took photos to show me that the decorative vent had not be sealed off in side.  He caulked around both new items.  I tried to pay them for the service call , but they would not take any money.  The roof had been on for 2 years and it was not a problem with their work.  Such great service! <br />

Around Oct 2014 I had several contractors come out to my house to give me bids on work to be done at my house.  I meet Sarah and Brian from Atlantic Coastal Enterprises on Oct 29 and they gave me a bid of $16,000.  I decided to hire them and on Nov 12 I paid them a deposit of $8,000.  Somewhere around March 2015 they did put a new roof on my house.  May 1 I received a text from Sarah that they will be starting on getting everything else done in the next couple of weeks. Come Aug nothing else had been done so I sent a text on Aug 17 when the rest was going to be finished.  Sarah texted back Aug 19 in about 2 weeks that I was next. Come Dec 1 nothing else had been done so I texted Sarah that it's been over a year and only the roof had been done and ask her to call me. She texted back Dec 3 that she will let me know when they will be out to do some of the work.  I text back it's been a year and I wanted to hire someone else that could do the work in a reasonable time. She said they will be out in the middle of next week and nobody showed. Asked for half of my deposit back with no answer.  I've called and texted asking them to call me so we can settle this and they never called. I've been waiting over a year for them to do the work.  I know a new roof on a double wide does not cost $8000. Will have to take them to small claims court to try to get some of my money back and hire someone who will do what they say. <br />

<p>It went very well.  I am a returning customer.  I had my roof done in Feb. of 2015 and was very satisfied.  When I had a car hit my house, I knew immediately who I wanted to fix it.  As in the past, the crew was very professional and hardworking.  Brian and Sarah are the best.  They followed up on the work-site to make sure everything is progressing as expected. Brian was very good about explaining all the details of the project before beginning to ensure I understood what they were able to fix with the funds available.  Sarah immediately returned my text when I told her what happened and her and Brian came over within an hour and they were on their way to their son's game.  Can't say enough positive things about Atlantic Coastal.  I still have work that I need to get done on my house, and when I get the funds to do it:), I know who I will be calling.  Thanks again Atlantic Coastal!</p> <br />

Atlantic Coastal were great! They were thorough in their assessment of my needs, thorough and professional in explaining their proposed work and their quote. I got 3 quotes and they were the only ones who knew how to deal with all of my needs. They started work right away and finished in just a few days. Sarah and Brian are great people who were very customer oriented and gave me the results I needed. My shed leak was fixed, and my house roof looks great. Their warranties were also better than the other companies, but I don't think I'll need them! <br />

Brian and Sarah Brice were amazing to work with.  If we had any questions, they quickly responded to our calls or text. They take pride in their products and workmanship. They have high standards and will not settle for less.   Their employees were kind.  We have dogs and they would work with us so we could let our dogs out into the fenced in back yard for a potty break.  They always cleaned up the work site after a days work.   <br /> I would highly recommend them to anyone! We love our "new house".  We have already noticed a decrease in our energy use.  Great job, great employees and great company!!!

<p>Exceptional Business. Quality work ? Yes.  Quality Service ? Yes.  Quality workers - Yes.</p> <p>I agree with all the other positive comments and definitely recommend them without hesitation.  They care about the quality of their work - they have a 10 year warranty on their workmanship. </p> <p>Came out to look at my roof and were very informative.   They spent time pointing out my neighbors house, the shortcuts their roofer had made and why that roof may not last over time / through a hurricane. </p> <p>They replaced my roof, replaced a lot of the damaged wood under the old shingles. Took down my unused oil burner chimney to below the roof line and roofed over it. Took pictures of the work in progress and gave me them when finished.  Everything happened on time, and cleaned up afterwards. </p> <p>I also had them replace my windows. That also went smoothly. All thier workers were great, very polite and answered any questions I had.  When it was discovered that the window manufacturer had sent one window that was the wrong style, they put in a temporary window. Came back 2 weeks later and installed the correct one with out any issue.</p> <p>They will be my first point of contact for future work on the house.  </p> <p>So happy I found someone who I can trust to do a job RIGHT.</p> <br />

I was very impressed with their knowledge of the products and that they were fully invested in the quality of their workmanship. Sarah and Brian both came in person for the estimate, during the work, and at the cleanup. They documented everything with photos. They cleaned up promptly after the job was done and the entire crew were courteous throughout. As an added touch, they left me with extra shingles for any potential repairs down the road. Gutters were also included in the price, but I am waiting to check on some potential drainage issues before proceeding with those. Sarah assured me that they will complete those when I am certain they are needed. They are bonded, insured, and the shingles have a true lifetime guarantee due to ACE's adherence to strict manufacturers' specs and guidelines. There were no hidden fees. I will definitely use them in the future for building projects. They are old school, real pros and it shows!

<p>The workers showed up and dropped off a trailer at my house. The supplies also arrived on the same day. The next morning the crew arrived and had stripped all of the old shingles off with a few hours. They replaced some of the wood that was damaged from the leaks on my roof. The crew that showed up was very professional and proficient. The crew were cleaning up while they were working. By the end of the first day my new roof was almost completed. The business owners Brian and Sarah showed up during the afternoon to check on the progress of the crew and asked me if everything was going okay. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>The crew showed up again the next morning and was finished with the job by lunch time. Atlantic Coastal had replaced several roofs in my neighborhood. I had spoke with my neighbors and they had only good things to say about their experience with this company. This is the reason I chose Atlantic Coastal to replace my roof. Again on the second day Brian and Sarah stopped by to see the finished product. The owner Brian actually got up on the roof to inspect his crews work. </p> <p><br /></p> <p>The owners are down to earth people and take pride in their work. I would highly recommend using this business for your next roof. </p> <br />

Atlantic Coastal is the best!  After wind damage, our roof was leaking in several places.  We shopped around and got quotes from several different companies. Some seemed to be attempting to move sub-standard shingles for a huge markup.  We were allotted a specific amount for repairs by our insurance company.  Atlantic Coastal worked with us and provided quality for the best price.  I had a family member visit from another state who happens to be in the roofing industry.  He commented on the quality of work and almost didn't believe me when I told him the price for such high-quality work.  Pictures of each step in the process were taken to document everything for our insurance company at no additional cost to us.  Each time we have tried to contact Brian or Sarah, regardless of how busy their schedule may have been, they always responded quickly.  <br /> When I read the the tiny percentage of negative reviews on Angie's List, I initially wondered if the reviewers were even talking about the same company.  When I read the responses from Sarah, I realized that she and Brian must have ended up trying to provide service for a customer who is completely nuts.   The A++ rating is for a reason? Atlantic Coastal Enterprises is the ONLY choice for roofing and interior repairs in the Jacksonville area.  You will not find a higher level of commitment to quality, honesty, and customer service.

"Please tell all the facts when telling your story! It takes 10-14 days for 26 gauge metal. We preferably use 26 gauge. Its a better job. We gave you a price on 26 gauge. When I came back to sign the contract you said you wanted thicker metal which would be 24 gauge. The distributor told us as well as you it would be a longer process to get the metal because it speciality. We didn't charge you any additional money for the 24 gauge. Because we like happy customers, so we went ahead and ordered it. From the day you gave the deposit you called both of our phones at least 10 times a day from 5 am in the morning until 12 am at night. We went above & beyond to make you happy. You bought a foreclosure double wide. It was covered with mold from ceiling to floor. It was an unsuitable living enviroment. You were aware of every step from the beginning. We even had the distributor call & email you with the progress. Once the metal arrived , you knew about it. It rained for 3 days, in those 3 days of rain you called and demand for us to come and strip your roof off. We are not stripping your roof or anyone's roof off for that matter in rain! On the 4th day we had a break in the weather, we sent our guys over. Ignoring our better judgement. Brian parked a dump trailer beside your house, with a tarp underneath. No debris fell on your yard. Every shingle was hand thrown in the trailer. We do a professional job every job, we dont do substandard work. They got half the roof stripped then it poured rain. Like we told you it would! The whole time our guys were there your husband screamed & cussed at our guys. Showing no respect for our guys or his self! The guys came back the next day to finish prepping for metal. I, myself went to get the enclosed trailer from your property to get the metal. Your husband came out the front door screaming, telling me I wasn't taking the f***ing trailer. That's his trailer now. He pushed me down on the ground. Then tried to sit on the tongue on the trailer to prevent me from taking the trailer. All the while I'm telling him, I have to get OUR trailer to get the metal. Once I had the trailer hooked up. I went to get in the truck to leave, he slams the door on my legs. Fracturing my ankle. I went as soon as I left and made a police report. Then to the doctor. You were in breach of contract, not us! Also to collect the medical bills for my ankle. We had our attorney contact y'all stating you would give the check to our attorney prior to us putting the metal on. Because we feel by your past behavior you wouldn't pay. That's to protect us. Our attorney will be in touch. We aren't in the business to do bad work!"

Atlantic Coastal Enterprises came when they said they were going to come, very important.  They installed a beautiful, high quality product on my roof, at all times keeping me informed on what they were doing.  They were very careful to keep the work area clean by laying down tarps to catch all debris removal from the old roof.  The crew were very professional, clean and polite.  I can't stress enough how professional this company and their team are and the high quality of their work.  Incredibly, their estimate was lower then their competitors, for a superior product.  You will not be disappointed in their work! <br /> http://www.atlanticcoastalenterprises.com/roofing.html <br /> (910)478-0777 <br />
