Problems with mice and bugs in the winters afterwards. Went up into attic and saw daylight! It became obvious that ridge vent material that allows ventilation but prevents rodents and bugs from getting into the attic was missing. Their crew had run out of material 1/2 way through and just screwed down the rest of the ridge cap with no barrier. After multiple calls and weeks going by they finally sent out a crew out. Fast forward this winter and still problems in the attic. Inspected their repair more carefully and found that, not only did they use material that doesn't allow venting, but they also left out a portion over the garage that they thought we'd never see. We love supporting local businesses but can you imagine nearly 20 thousand for a new roof and their crew was too lazy or dishonest to go buy a $25 roll????? But even worse can you imagine they had a second chance to make it right and failed again??? Neither can we.

They are one of the best. Very happy with the crew. They were fast and efficient. The quality is excellent and price was reasonable. Fixed water drainage issue with my old roof and added attic fans which made a noticeable difference in the attic temperature.

Totally recommend Atlantic roofing I had several quotes Atlantic was the only one that had a detailed list for everything I may need .every question I had got answered. And there were no hidden costs .The roofers , good job 👏 And nice cleanup !

What a wonderful experience. Dealing with home repairs can be daunting, but the entire process was so smooth and easy. I was kept in the loop without being overwhelmed, and the job was completed right on schedule. It’s a huge weight off my mind to have this done, and the final look is fantastic.

My house is over ninety years old and the roof hadn't been replaced in more than thirty years. In 2020 I was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer and started rigorous treatment shortly thereafter with a leaky roof. My son-in-law encountered Shane through his job and referred me to him. Shane was very sympathetic to my situation, made a very reasonable quote, and started work immediately. The "Mexican" workers someone commented about were EXCELLENT! They were extremely mindful of my health issues and worked as quietly and quickly as possible. The finished project is fantastic, I now have the prettiest roof in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Atlantic Roofing and Exteriors to anyone looking to improve the value and appearance of your home.

Buyers beware!!!! We would not recommended his company to anyone!! This organization does not honor their contract, performs sloppy and improper work when they do show up, will not follow-up after the job, and have repeatedly denied certified letters from the US Postal Service we have sent them over the last few months. We are now seeking legal advice into our next steps.

Their bid was in line with another long-time area roofer (Mac Johnson), and I liked their presentation, so I decided to give 'em a shot. It took a little longer than expected. Some of that was due to weather and some necessary repairs, but also a small crew and forgetting to install a couple of vents. OTOH, they kept me fully informed, responded promptly to my enquiries, the job looks great, and cleaned up well (I only found 2 nails). So, all things considered, they were professional and got the job done.

I hired Atlantic Roofing to install a metal roof on my home. In the beginning, everything went fine. They were understanding during probate and quoted me the lowest price out of the many roofers I had come out. Once the project finally started it quickly turned into a nightmare. The men that showed up to install the roof were asking me what work needed to be done and barely spoke English. Because of the language barrier it became frustrating fast. The men were unable to finish because of weather and did not properly cover my roof. That night multiple leaks appeared in my living room and bathroom. I called the owner who was quick to apologize and came out to assess the damage the very next day. He only wanted to paint over the damage, not replace the ceiling in my home. He asked me to let his men finish the roof to prevent further leaks. I did and low and behold, a few weeks later, my bathroom was leaking again. He sent out a repair guy who only slathered this roofing caulk around vents and said it was fixed. The same day I had an inspector come out and he said the repair job was unprofessional and would not hold up. Shane said the repair job was done fine even though it did not look the prettiest. Here we are, 9/19/2017, and my bathroom is leaking again. So that's 3 leaks in 4 months. A new roof should bring peace of mind. Mine however has done nothing, but caused me distress. Every time it rains I wait for a new stain on my ceiling. I haven't heard from the owner yet (concerning the third leak), but I honestly have lost my patience with this company and don't expect much. After the second leak Shane did have someone come out to paint my living room ceiling and redo the drywall in my bathroom. However, the guy quit showing up and after 4 days of hearing nothing I wrote the owner and said I would finish it myself. They should be ashamed. This home is all I have left of my mother and it hurts that it keeps repeatedly getting damaged.

It has been a terrible experience from day 1 to now (nearly 5 years later). Atlantic Roofing installed a new roof on a home I had just purchased in September 2012 and the workmanship was horrible. I've called them and sent them Certified Letters a total of 6 times for 6 different leaks. Previously, a crew would come out and work on the area that leaks, then 6 months later, the same area leaks again or new leaks occur. Now, I'm 1 month from the end of my 5-year warranty and I've been calling and sending letter for weeks about new leaks. Atlantic Roofing has ignored my efforts to get them out to my house to honor their warranty. I know several people who had Atlantic Roofing install new roofs and all of them have had leaks and poor customer service. I wouldn't recommend Atlantic Roofing to my worse enemy. Extremely unprofessional.

I had them work on 5 of my rentals all with leaks. The first 3 went ok...they were there like they said they would and fixed the problems...the last 2 were a nightmare to work with them on. They told me they had fixed the last 2 and I called my renters, they said that they did not. It took a few weeks to get out and fix one of them with getting the runaround when i called with a half dozen calls saying the guy working on them will be out there at 2:00 only to not show up at all with no calls to me or the renters that took off work to meet them and show them where it was leaking inside...all this time it was raining hard, causing more damage.... this happened 3 times. Finally after a few more calls i got to talk to the owner who said he would go out there himself and get it fixed... I said good....I called my renters said he was coming out...they laughed because by now its been a joke with them except they took off work again. Thinking it was fixed...I got a call from my renters saying nobody showed up again. I called the owner back and he said that he did go there and he would have someone go out by 3:00...this is 3 days later...I said it is hard to believe you anymore... he started ranting and raving...saying how busy he was and I have million dollar jobs that are much more important then yours...I said you should of told me before you took the job on and just do what you say you are going to do...he hung up on me. So I got someone else to fix it....Terrible experience for me...awful company to work with in my opinion and i work with alot of contractors.

Everet the sales person, very knowledgable. The work crew needs to work on customer interaction, inform the customer of work status. They should not leave when finished without telling the customer. However they do great work.

This was the worst experience. Ponding on the flat roof was worse than before, took them 1 whole year to fix it after we threatened to sue. Needless to say it's still ponding. Close to 0 communication once they got paid. For $6000 and only 50% of our roof replaced i would have expected an outstanding job, this was just a nightmare. Never again. <br />

Our house is in the records as built in 1971, but from the building structure we assume that the oldest part goes back into the 40s. The architectural shingles on some parts of the building needed to be replaced so I got estimates from three different companies for both versions, architectural shingles and metal. A friend, who is in the construction business recommended Atlantic Roofing and Exteriors to us, since none of the bidders were planning to use purloins. Turned out that what Atlantic roofing offered us with purloins, covering the entire roof with metal, installing one tube skylight and replacing a rectangular skylight plus putting gutters over the entrance doors was a better deal than any other companies offered us. <br /> Shane, the owner, had come out to measure the roof and shortly after send me the estimate. Ben and his son plus some helpers came out to do the job: checking for rotten wood (they ended up replacing parts of the fascia ) , installing the purloins over the architectural shingles (we didn't want them in a landfill), cutting and installing the metal sheets and metal covering over fascia. All work was explained to me and done in a timely and professional manner. All workers were extremely polite, worked hard, concentrated, and cautious. The experienced and very skilled team did a wonderful job on our roof, which is odd shaped and very crooked from age and several additions to the building. <br /> They went out of their way to cover a little eye brow over one window that is facing the street. That wouldn't have been necessary at all, but looks so pretty and is so well done! Great craftsmanship! I was surprised Shane and his crew were paying attention to such a detail. <br /> One rectangular skylight needed to be replaced with a smaller tube skylight. Shane organized everything and a man from the skylight company came to install it after Ben and Son had adjusted the opening in the roof, using up some of the spare wood I had laying around. This skylight is bringing in so much light it's like having a spotlight! <br /> One rectangular skylight was replaced with a new energy efficient one. I ended up having to do some cosmetic adjustments inside, but that was o.k. The new skylight really lets in less heat than the previous one. <br /> At the end the guys from the gutter company showed up to install their product, where we have entrances. Again, timing was well organized by Shane and the company he chose showed great craftsmanship. <br /> When our neighbors saw the project on our roof they got theirs done as well and are very content, plus another crew was working on a third neighbors house. We have at least three new roofs by Atlantic roofing in our close vicinity, that I know of. And while checking out metal roofs of other neighbors in our town my husband and I could see the difference and what a great job Atlantic roofing had done for us. <br /> Due to a misunderstanding there was an issue with a vent at the final inspection and on one fascia the wood warped so we needed some adjustment on how it was covered by the metal. Ben and son came out and fixed everything to everyone's content. <br /> Even when I called in this spring thinking there was a leak on the roof, which turned out to be an issue with our AC and high humidity producing mildew on the ceiling, they came out immediately to check on everything, inside and out. <br />

When they arrived( on time) I was on my way out to work at about 7:20a and the first thing I noticed was that all the workers were Mexicans and none could speak English. I told the owner who was there not to leave the gates open to the back yard where my dogs were or the front b/c if both were left open my Jack Russel would run right into the street and not stop. Sure enough when I got home they were gone, both gates open and my neighbor said your dog is in the hospital unconscious and on IV's. I <br /> called the owner and told him that he would have to pay the vet bill and he agreed and did but, it never should of happen in the first place b/c if the dog died would it been worth it to hire cheap Mexican labor who speaks no English? Then again some companies don't care as long as they get the cash in their hands. <br /> On Aug 4th 2013 ( only 4.5 yrs later not 50 or 70) my roof had a major leak and ruined my ceiling so I called them several times spoke to the father who said he would look into it ( when it was installed and what) and never did. I tried calling his son the owner left messages and they never even returned my calls .I can't sue in small claims b/c on their contract it says 2 yr workmanship which was not explained to me b/c they guaranteed me that metal roofs were the best and last 50-70 years so I assumed that meant leaking, materials etc. Now I know workmanship means did they do the job correctly well no they didn't b/c they had cheap labor who knew not what they were doing but, the owner in my opinion did not care as long as he got most of the thousands I paid. My roof was white and now parts of it are grey and I don't think it should be fading no matter how hot Fl gets . Anyway, I now have to contact a roofer to fix the roof as well as someone to fix the drywall. I also forgot to mention that when they would not come out and take a closer look underneath the metal and at least put a tarp over it that I had to do that and in the process of getting to the top of the ladder it moved and threw me in the air to the ground. I was unconscious for about 2 minutes, could barely move or walk upright when I finally woke up and crawled into my back door I called my friend, went to the ER where every test imaginable was done then about 2 hours later they moved me from the ER upstairs to the trauma floor where I spent the next day until that evening.. I was in so much pain and not able to breathe well b/c of the injuries to my chest that I was on pain meds for 3 weeks. I not only wasted money on this worthless roofer but, have to spend money on my ceiling and now a hospital bill of about $12,000+ and I have no health insurance. So, if your smart read my review closely otherwise after 2yrs your on your own even if the entire roof starts leaking. I would rather have a tarp over my entire roof than to hire this company. <br /> <br /> UPDATE: 10/3/13 Gets better each time I investigate them. I went to codes enforcement today and found out this company never bothered to pull a permit and therefore, my roof was never inspected at any time during the replacement of my roof. As of 8/4/2013 I have a major leak and they won't even be professional and come look at it. I was told by codes that they probably didn't pull the permit b/c they just put the metal over the existing leak and knew it wouldn't pass inspection. Codes is now attempting to call them as they will have to pay double the permit if they are found in violation and at this point no permit = code violation. I am also working on a complaint against their license for being unprofessional and I will see if anything can be done to punish them by the Dept of Professional Licensing. Stay away if you don't want major headaches. I will update further as any info comes in.

I joined Angie's list and called three roofers, all with an A rating and from the local area. I had gotten some verbal quotes previously from two other roofers and Shane came out to the house and they did all the measurements and gave me a quote substantially below the two verbal quotes. I also had the other roofers come out and their estimates were also in the $7,000 range. Shane came out and we discussed what needed to be done and his quote was well below the others. When my funds were available he said he would come out on Friday and get the down payment. Instead the whole crew showed up and started working taking the old roof off and checking where the plywood needed to be replaced. They all showed up again on SAturday and worked a full day with two of the workers coming on Sunday to do some more work. They finished up on Monday morning (December 3) and the roof looks great.

My initial enthusiasm with Shane and his company has cooled significantly. At first I was vwery pleased; he fixed some minor problems and was paid in full. Since then things have gotten worse.I had to ask Shane many times for the final paperwork and the documentation to get a wind mitigation discount ($200+ per year) on my home owners insurance. After finally getting the paperwork it was rejected by two insurance companies for improper documentation.When I went to paint my house several months after the job had been completed I discovered several problems with the roof. The first was that the roof had been installed into a piece of sheething the had rotted under the eaves. Our agreemnet stated that his company would replace any sheething that was not sound. I fixed that problem myself. The second problem was that a section of about 8 feet did not have the barrier that prevented water from backing up under the metel roofing at the eaves. I have contacted Shane many times about fixing this and he has promised several times to do so, but it has been over a year and the work has not been done.My contract also calles for two free inspections a year for the first two years to check for problems. It has been a year and a half since the work was completed and the roof has yet to be inspected.My roof also has begun to leak over my laundry room. I informed Shane about this a little over a week ago. He said he would be out to do an inspection Thursday or Friday. He did not call, e mail or show up.I am tired of dealing with a company that does not follow through on promises made.

They were great and they did a great job. I got a really good deal because he had extra shingles from another job. He is different than the other companies that came to give me a estimate. He worked with me. He is excellent. I would recommend him to anyone. He is a nice owner. He is fair. They did the work on time. I got better shingles than I would have because I asked him if he had any left over from another job. I got a lifetime warranty of my roof. His pricing was the most reasonable. He had great workers. They got the work done, got the stuff cleaned up, and they were gone. He did extra work for me because he wanted to the work to look good. He worked on the gutters and I didn't have to pay for it. I would use them again without a doubt.

They were professional and got the job done well. They came back when we needed them to.

I have had a fabulous experience. Shane has done a great job following through with everything. He does extensive work in the community both residentially and commercially. His professionalism really shows. He gave us a great price for our metal roof that came in lower than other shingle roofs. He helped us out considerably. His crew that he sent out was very professional. The roof is beautiful.

They gave me a very good price compared to several other competetor's bids. The owner was communicative and freely answered any questions I had. The job was done quickly, professionally, and the property was clean when they left. There was one minor problem with the installation, but a worker came and fixed it in about 1/2 hour without question. They even painted my chimney (I supplied the paint) at no charge. I would recommend this company for a good product delivered at a good price.
