Everything went wonderfully. The price was much more affordable than some estimates that I have had. The company reps were very responsive, and they did a professional job including clean up afterwards. I recommended them to my daughter, and she was very happy with their service, as well.

The day of the job was fine. The crew smokes a lot, which would have been fine if they didn't leave a few butts and an actual lighter in my yard that my 2 year old found. They were not very careful around my surrounding plants, which it was October so I guess they didn't think I'd care. They cleaned up fairly well, although there were still a lot of smaller branches we had to clean up later in my beds. All of that being said, i would have actually not have left any review at all and let all that go but the owner of the company was extremely insulting to me in a text...so here goes. The 2 small trees that were removed, the stumps are still there due to them not bringing their stump grinder to the job, he said it took up too much room on the truck. At then end of the 6 hours, when it was time to pay, he said I could pay him $50 less and even up when he came back with his stump machine. I said that's ok and I just paid him in full trusting he'd come back, apparently somewhere in the small print where I signed it also said I was 100% satisfied and the job was done.. NOT TRUE. In nearly 1 years time I have only contacted him 3 times, to remind him of my stumps and I always get the response that he's too busy and he will come in a few weeks. This last time was just yesterday August 29 2017 (the job was OCTOBER 2016) . Upon responding to me he actually tried to say that I said I didn't want the stumps removed at first and added it on at the end..NOT TRUE... then said it was only one stump and that I'm trying to get a second for free, NOT TRUE.... (besides why in the world would I have only wanted 1 done to begin with...that doesn't eve make sense). I highly resent those accusations and now I'm angry about having to spend more money on someone else to finish the job and insulted at these untrue accusations. Also, either some other lady had the SAME exact situation happen in July 2016 (my work was in October 2016) or the owner responded to her review thinking it was me, and then texted me saying he won't be forced or made to look like he didn't do work. HEY CHECK THE WORK DATE THAT WASN'T ME REVIEWING YOU...although I am not surprised to see someone else not satisfied. I try to support business owners and give people the benefit of the doubt, which is why I paid in full and have been patient nearly a year to get my job completed. This negative review is a DIRECT result of the business owners unprofessionalism. We have asked him to cease contact with us as we'd actually rather have pay someone else to come finish the job than to work with him any further.

"First and foremost you purchased a $999 package deal which is 6 hours of work for the day which we completely complied with and even worked over the 6 hour limit to satisfy you. the first day I came out to do the estimate you did state that the one small ash tree in the overgrown area you did not want the stump ground out so we did not bring the stump machine after arriving I pointed out another dead ash tree that needed to come down then you said you wanted the stump ground out because it would be in the [Member Information Removed] of mowing on the edge. I offered you at that time for us to wrap it up early and keep $50 out for when I returned to do the one stump you declined said it wasn't a big deal so trying to make a happy customer I said if I'm back down this [Member Information Removed] I'll stop and take care of it for you. a few months go by and you call asking about 2 stumps I said we only agreed about one which I have the text message of you asking me to do the second one also still I agreed to do it because they was so small and not a big deal and to keep a customer happy. The flowers that you say we trampled I specifically asked about because they was all around the tree we trimmed and our ropes would be on them you informed me they came back every year again not a big deal...but now it is? The 100% satisfied is in large print that you sign along with authorizing the work ,which we fully fulfilled the 6 hour agreement and then some . it's truly a shame you would say these things about a company that has went above and beyond for you and your home. Customers like you are the reason we are no longer advertising with Angie list. Out of 70 reviews and 4 or 5 Fs I believe that speaks for itself best of luck to you."

It went ok but he did not remove his machine after the work is done. I kept calling him and he gave me date but still he haven't returned yet.

"We provide a big deal package for the member due to her purchasing from us and not Angie's list via her preference _it was a $999. Which included 18 labor hours which is a 6 hour day. We finished the project after 6 hours and she signed off on 100% satisfied at which time she asked about the stump and me trying to go above and beyond said if i was back in the area i would stop by and take care of no charge. We later received another call for us to return and do some more work at her home which again was completed and signed 100% satisfied . We will gladly honor our verbal agreement for the stump for her just as soon as our project is wrapped up in about 6 weeks."

This is my bad experience with this company. They offer a big deal on tree trimming in January when work cannot be done soon due to weather. Contractor spends time on phone with customer explaining how he will not have his workers work in dangerous conditions. Customer agrees because she does not want a worker to fall. So the 30-day limit to get refunds quickly passes. Meanwhile, after 30 days, Angies List sends the money to the contractor and keeps their cut for fees. They are both happy, and customer is still thinking she will get her trees trimmed when the weather breaks for the better. Customer and contractor spend next 2 months scheduling work to be done, and contractor keeps canceling because, “weather is unsafe and I don’t want my workers to get hurt.” Meanwhile contractor continues to take jobs from other customers and somehow manages to service them during that time. And the weather in the customer’s location is perfect for working several times when contractor cancels because it is raining at the contractor’s 2-hour-away location. One of the latest cancellations is excused because, “I can’t reach my customer to cancel because they took time off from work so I am TEXTING you (no assurance they reach customer) to cancel your work." Continue this delaying tactic until customer gives up and hires someone else to do the work, and at the same price, and on the same day customer contacted them. Deal was bought in late January. Old contractor even told customer (falsely) over the phone, in May, that she could get her money back from Angies. Now, Angies List tells customer she cannot get her money back ($999) because it is past 30 days. Contractor and Angies List both have their money and customer is just out of luck. Angies List should be able to get money back from contractor, but it seems like they won’t even try. They have the FEE portion already that they could refund to customer, but their policy is never to do a partial refund. Here are my warnings to all potential Angies List customers. Never buy a big deal unless you can get it done before 25 days. Call Angies List if it is 25 days and the work is still not done, for whatever reason. Buy only deals worth a couple hundred dollars because then the contractor is less likely to play these delaying games since customer will still be paying regular price for part of the job. DO NOT deal with a contractor who is more than 30 minutes away from your job. Find this out before buying deal. Long travel times boost contractor’s cost and make them more likely to never show up. I do not know for sure why this contractor would not do the job. Maybe he just over scheduled and did not plan for delays due to weather. I can only speculate on other reasons, so they will remain unsaid. Thank you to Angies List because they finally made an exception that they told me they could not make. They refunded my $999. But they warned that I should never expect this exception again, and their policy clearly says so. Please read, and believe, their policy, and don’t run the risk of losing the money you paid for a deal.

"first and foremost you bought a package in January after numerous attempts to contact you with no return calls or emails which hints your 30 day guarantee was void due to you and only you never the less finally months later you contact me to set up an appointment I come out talk with you about planned work and it's very true we did cancel due to rain twice and once after not being able to contact you. You and your husband continuously called and text my phone after business hours harassing me to cancel other customers cause you did not want to wait until your scheduled appointment. As expected in the summer our scheduling is up to a month out sorry we could not accommodate your right now needs. Angie list has issued you a full refund weeks ago and very true they went against their policies which I believe is kind of ironic."

Derrick was extremely professional, knowledgeable and meticulous when he came to preform his services. I had additional services performed over and above the original prices of $199.00. The $199.00 took care of 4 trees based on the amount of trimming needed done. I then had him take care of an additional 2 trees for a very reasonable price. He took his time and trimmed or cut everything very nicely! He and is staff cleaned every branch up and hauled away or shredded the birch limb. He even let know that I needed a gutter cleaned out. AND did I mention, he was here on New Years Eve!!! Not a lot of people would do that. Great job and thanks!!!!!!!
