The tub looks great! They made sure to cover everything beforehand, and cleaned up perfectly when they finished. They were pleasant and professional. I would recommend this company.

I made the appointment on Tuesday and they were able to schedule me for a Thursday morning appointment. The refinisher was punctual, courteous and explained the services and process. Highly recommended. A+ service.

Bad experience, start to finish. Product installation looked fantastic in a few areas, and I used those areas to judge the rest which didn't shine, had an orange peel texture, and had sharp grit "painted" to the tub from their product. I gave them an opportunity to come back and fix it. Their workers worked at it for hours, some areas were improved but other problems now existed. I had read other reviews stating multiple visits were required to get the job done right. I did not have the time to baby-sit multiple visits by their crews to try to correct the problem.

He sent someone out i(n July of 2011) to refinish my bathtub.  After about 4 months, the tub began to peel in two small areas.   I tried to contact Alex and he was very busy.  I lived with the spots.  In March of 2013, we arranged a time that he could come and refinish the entire tub (by this time many areas had peeled).  It took several times to arrange a time within his schedule for him to refinish this tub.  After it was completed, it looked beautiful again.  I was extremely careful to clean the tub as told,  However, it is now 10/2014, approximately 1.5 years later (from the second refinishing) and the tub is peeling again.  I am confident this is a product that does not work.  Do not be fooled into refinishing your tub with this company.  IT MAY LOOK BEAUTIFUL AT FIRST, BUT IT DOES NOT LAST! <br />

Alex was extremely professional throughout the entire process.  His employee came to the house at the time that was suggested and did an excellent job on refinishing 2 tubs in my home.  I then hired them to refinish my kitchen countertops and they turned out great!  I highly recommend A+Tubs and Tops! <br />

The material was initially very attractive, however within two months the coating on the soap dish in the shower wall began to peel off. We have had the installer return 4 times since the material was installed to repair defective areas. We did pay for one area where the countertop was damaged by our daughter spilling a small amount of nail polish remover, but all of the other damage was apparently caused by inadequate surface preparation.  Most recently, we contacted Alex in May 2014 when we noticed that the shower wall, which had previously been repaired, was peeling again. The repair had evidently been installed over the previous material without any surface preparation, so the repair did not stick. The material was also now peeling from every sink and from the tub in the master bathroom.  All of the peeling was in curved areas or corners where the surfaces may have been more difficult to sand effectively.  In any case, we have requested another repair repeatedly by telephone and email.  Alex had told us at the end of July that he would be in town August 7 and would contact us to arrange a personal visit to see what is needed to resolve the problems we are having.  Not surprisingly, we have not heard from him as of August 14 and he has again failed to respond to repeated telephone and email messages.  Although the material looks great (at first), in our experience it has not been durable under normal use.  In addition to the problems with the product, the company has been unresponsive and has repeatedly failed to show up or rescheduled appointments.  It has been a very disappointing experience after seeing the great ratings the company has previously received.  We are hopeful that we can reach a suitable resolution of the problem because otherwise the only remedy for the unsightly peeling material is to replace everything that was resurfaced. <br /> <br /> Alex finally contacted us immediately after being notified of our complaint with the BBB and negative review on Angie's List.  He committed to visit our home on 8/19 to look at the problem and to bring his best technician to make the repair.  We are hoping for a successful resolution to the problem and will continue to update the current status.

Daniel did a great job.  Tub looks great and he took good care to not mess up the bathroom.  There was a bit of overspray but he cleaned most all of it up.  Tub looks great and now the renters want the name of the company for their mother-in-law's tub. <br /> This was rental property and I will use them again on other properties. <br /> Price was reasonable.  I had trip charge because I was far away but overall cost was still reasonable. <br />

We're currently renovating a 1939 home and wanted to save the original cast iron tub. It had been painted before. I assume a previous owner tried one of those do it yourself kits. I wish I could remember the name of the gentleman from Tubs and Tops who came out, he was great. I think maybe it was Jeff. He scraped off the gross paint coating in the tub and repaired a couple of chips then did the rest of the refinishing. The tub looks like new! $295 + tax would barely have bought a cheap in stock fiberglass tub at a big box store.

I could not be happier with the entire process! I was amazed at how quickly Alex was able to come out to the house and give me a quote. The men arrived on time, worked extremely hard and the job was simply beautiful. I did get 2 nicks on the vanities which were immediately taken care of once I called. The responsiveness and quality of work were much more than I expected and I would absolutely use them again. <br />

After a negative experience with another service provider, this experience was good and there were no problems and it was less expensive than others.

I chose a light brown with specks for my bathroom tile and vanity top, and kept my tub white, in all they resurfaced my bathroom tile, tub, and vanity. The chemicals used are a bit strong but tolerable. The tub looks nice but not like new. Overall I am happy with work and price.

I contact Tubs and Tops for a quote and sent them some pictures of my 1974 tub that had been rusting--I got an immediate response with a description of the process. They were able to come by the same week that I called.  <br /> The tech showed up a little early and called when he arrived. He was very friendly and got straight to work. It took about 3 hours from start to finish. He was very careful to tape up the bathroom to make sure none of our surfaces/fixtures were damaged during the process. The tech was very knowledgeable and walked me through the process and even gave me some pointers on how to maintain our new tub. Once he was completed, he cleaned up the area and it looks like we have a brand new tub!  <br /> I'm pleased with the work they did and it beats having to get a whole new tub, have it disposed, installation, etc etc. <br /> <br />

It took a half day.  The odor was very  "strong".  The workers did their best to keep it contained in the master bedroom area. <br /> They did a very good job. <br /> <br />

We were very pleased with the workmanship of everything, but we were disappointed with the new look, as we were hoping they could refinish it in the same look.. The work was very glossy and had speckles that took some getting used to, as in the past we had the solid white cultured marble. We chose this pattern,....so this was NOT the fault of A + Tubs and Tops....They did an excellent job in all areas.  After Alex recommended going to Loew's (because we told him we were unhappy with this new look)...to look at what is being shown nowadays in the store, we felt better.   We called Alex and told him  we would like to have just the sink in the guest bathroom redone in a white cream color and keep the countertops  with the new refinished look..   Jonathan came out again and redid the sink as we had asked. <br /> Both Alex and Jonathan were true professionals. It took a few days to get used to the new look, but now we are very pleased!    I would recommend A + Tubs and Tops very highly! <br /> <br />

The process was quick and professional. He repaired the tub on the same day he gave me the estimate. The tub looks like new and has a one year warranty. <br />

We're in the process of getting our house ready to sell, and rather than spending a ton of money on new bathroom counter tops, we decided to have them refinished.  We had one double-sink, and one single-sink counter top, plus a built-in make-up table done. <br /> When I called a competitor, it took them a long time to get back to me and when they did, they quoted a price that seemed way too high. So, I called this company and they gave me a quote that I considered to be much more reasonable. <br /> The worker showed up on time on the day the work was scheduled. It took him approximately three hours to complete the job, and then he told us that it would be 24 hours before we could use the counter tops. He did a meticulous job in prepping the area, and I was impressed. <br /> The final product is gorgeous! In fact, while he was here, we were having a lot of other work done, and the contractor and many of his workers were very impressed with how it turned out. <br /> I'm extremely happy with the result, and would definitely recommend this company to others. Also, I appreciate the senior discount.   <br /> <br /> <br />
