Excellent! First, the old tile was removed along with the toilet, sink, cabinet doors and entry door. Rocky was organize and clean. He cleaned up as he worked. He bagged up the trash and took the bags out to his truck as they filled up. He sat up a work table outside with his tools. He cleaned up daily. Rocky was very good at communicating with me on what was needed as well as answering all of my questions about materials and his progress. My walk-in shower was retiled, had new fixtures installed and a light was also installed in the shower. This was a new addition which required Rocky to add additional wiring. He did this completely professionally. He took all precautions for working with electrics. A new tile floor was laid, as well as bead board added to the walls, wood trim added and the room was painted. Rocky did a lot of work and it all was completed efficiently and to my liking. I love my new bathroom! I will definitely use Rocky again!!

Rocky was on time when he came out to survey the work I needed done. He offered suggestions on how to repair the rotted fascia and wooden beam area which led to a cost savings and did not require me to hire a roofer. He quickly provided me with an estimate. He was working on another job at the time, but kept me up to date on his schedule and when he'd be able to start my job. During the conduct of the work, Rocky was timely (he arrived and left at a reasonable hour), courteous, professional, innovative, meticulous, extremely neat (he cleaned up every day before he left), kept us informed on his schedule (i.e., he let us know if he was not coming usually because of rain), and gladly performed the additional tasks we added onto his plate. The overhangs/house extensions are 18-20 feet high, probably 30+ feet long, 10+ feet wide, are constructed of wood, and have six wooden beams that go from the front through the house and to the back. Rocky hand painted both the front and back overhangs with a brush on a ladder. Any cleaned up any paint that dripped onto the patio. The fascia and beam repairs were very close to the edge of the swimming pool and could not be easily reached with the ladder alone. Rocky built a platform that he extended over a portion of the pool, counter weighted it, and placed his ladder on the platform while he was doing the repairs and painting. When he was done with the work, he disassembled the platform and hauled it away. Rocky took down two old ceiling fans that we had over the back patio and hauled them away. He installed two new fans and get them set up and working. One of the fans would not work so he got on the phone with the technical support group for the fan manufacturer to try to see how to fix the issue. We ended up having him take down the one fan that would not work properly(which we returned) and then put up the new replacement fan. Once again, he made sure both fans were working before he moved onto another task, and he hauled away the boxes from both fans. Having had a lot of work done at the house over the past year, I was impressed with Rocky's neatness. He cleaned up every night, consolidating ladders, paint cans, tarps, and other materials into one inconspicuous location before he left. He did not leave any trash laying around the yard, hoses were recoiled, paint drippings were removed, and when he left we didn't find nails or screws or anything else laying on the ground. We have identified other tasks that need to be done both inside and outside the house, and while my husband could do them, his first response was to "Call Rocky. He'll do a better job than me". Thank you Rocky!

Everything was done perfectly. Because not enough time was set aside for the original visit, the work was done on two separate appointments, plus a third after another set of blinds was ordered. Our handyman, Damen Jagge, was professional, courteous, clean, and helpful. He offered to take all the old blinds away and put everything back in its proper place. He even mounted the new curtain rod and put the curtains up for me!

It was excellent. He was quick, under budget, The house made it into the newspaper. I had someone else do the electrical work because, I had to have the whole house wired to be brought up to code. With everything it was about $10,000.

It was excellent. He was quick, and under budget. We have talked about him doing a roof for me. I have never had to say to him, "I don't like this, could you redo it?" He has never had to redo anything, or come back. He has done it right the first time which, is why I keep going back to him. The price is fantastic, it's always lower than what I expected.

Without question, the best contractor/handyman I have ever done business with. From our first interaction, he was nothing but courteous and professional. We've now hired him twice. Both times he was punctual and reliable. His work is outstanding from start to finish. His prices are more than fair. I feel bad that I've never taken the time to write a review on Angie's List in the past, because I'm generally quite happy with the people I've hired. But my experience with Rocky was SO positive that I felt compelled to write about it. Thanks, Rocky!
Well, it went flawlessly. Much of this job required a certain amount of "creativity" to solve the problems. Rocky spent a lot of time analyzing what was done wrong in the first place by our builder and came up with the best solution to correct the problem and prevent it from happening in the future. The repaired leak in the attic vent was especially tricky. Water had been leaking in for some time especially during periods of blowing rain. Rocky's experience led him to the cause of the problem which was almost completely invisible since it was high up in the attic and very inaccessible. He found it, fixed it and the leak is gone. As for the painting and staining, let me stress that he took no shortcuts, no rollers, no spraying. Everything was done slowly and meticulously by hand with a brush and he was very thorough using the best materials available. It also required a lot of "high altitude" and difficult-to-get-at gymnastics! It probably took him a little longer to do it because of his technique and the difficulty of the access, but it was done the "right" way. Which is what I wanted. Repairing the grill area required a lot of creativity to do it "right" and to keep the cost reasonable. It looks great and is now very functional. He was always prompt, courteous and extremely professional. A real pleasure to work with. I would trust him with the keys to my house if I were to be out of town when he was doing the work. I probably could have found someone cheaper, but not with the same professionalism and perfectionist attitude. You get what you pay for with Rocky. He is an experienced, honest and responsible professional. I highly recommend him for any job large or small. He is the best there is.
Rocky is a good man. I gave him a key to my home and he came in, did his work and left everything neat and clean when he left. Rocky worked for us for two solid weeks. He is detail oriented, flexible and does a great job. I am going to use him again in the near future.
Rocky was prompt in arriving. He gave me an estimate of the final cost. He installed the door, however, there was a defect in the door lock/knob attachment, so that part of the installation was not done. He adjusted the original price estimate for the time and labor actually spent.

Overall, very well. One small glitch: I wanted 1.5" holes drilled but he only had a 1" drill bit. So he drilled 2. Not what I wanted, but he brought the plastic grommet covers for them the next day. Very pleasant man!

I would give AT YOUR SERVICE (Greg K. "Rocky" Thompson) my absolute highest rating. This is a small contractor that can do big things. I have had NUMEROUS horrible experiences with every type of contractor in in my life------ I know how the bad ones operate-------- This company is the OPPOSITE! This is the guy that is going to do the work the way you'd do it if you knew how and had time to do it yourself. He does things the RIGHT WAY. He is an extremely courteous professional man. Construction is messy. Rocky is as clean as they come. His work site is cleaned up daily -------he's very used to working in extremely nice homes and is careful not to bump and bruise furniture, or art, collectibles, etc. I do not know what all to mention that might help someone decide but I'm telling you, I am a person who appreciates people of this man's integrity... I have known him for more than 10 years he has done many many other projects for us in that time---------so this review is not for a two week long period--------I know what he's like and I have seen him demonstrate himself on project after project. Anything I had that came up as a homeowner Rocky is the guy I'm going to call FIRST. I trusted him so much after the first job 10 years ago, that I leave him keys to the house. I've had him do work there when we were not home... Just to be clear ----------THIS IS SOMETHING I NEVER DO!!!!! There are no other contractors I would give this kind of endorsement to, and NONE that I'd give the keys to my house to and let go over when I'm out of town. He's skilled at all types of construction. I will say this, his prices are VERY REASONABLE, but this is not the "cheapest or low-ball bid" type of contractor. If that's what you want "the cheapest" then maybe he will be maybe not--------I'm just saying that if what you want instead is to bring someone into your house that you can TRUST------------someone who really deep down in his heart wants you to be not only "pleased" at the end of your job, but really really excited about how great it came out and how high-quality it is and how all the little details are done right --------- someone who treats you right -------- someone who takes notes, shows up prepared each day (tools, materials, etc.), keeps the jobsite as clean as it can be -------this is the guy to call. All jobs he's done for us have gone great. We originally found him from an ad in the church newsletter--------he was a total stranger. That's why I'm writing this review. Do you know how many other contractors I've met in that time who have the keys to my house and that I trust like this? NONE!

Only this one. My highest endorsement and recommendation. He works all over NW San Antonio and the Hill country in The Dominion, Fair Oaks Ranch, Boerne, Bulverde------ probably willing to go other directions too-------- There are sometimes a waiting list before he can get to you, He works generally all-alone and he finishes EVERY project (doesn't split his time between multiple jobs). Everyone who uses him, becomes a repeat customer-----------so he can be very much in demand. But he'll come out give you an estimate and he'll be honest about when he can start and how long it might take him to do what you want done, he will treat you like a friend would treat you, etc. He uses TEXT and E-MAIL as well as the PHONE so he's not going to say "I don't believe in them computers..." and he's not a pain in the to get in touch with---------- He's not sick on Monday-------- This is not the "typical contractor"--------not at all. If you've been through BAD home repair experiences you KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT! You'll end up being Rocky's friend if he works for you. (I just joined Angie's list, so this is the very first time I've ever "posted a review" for any of the work he's done for us over 10 year period, but he has EARNED every one of these remarks I've made.)

Rocky Thompson is an excellent craftsman for home updates and/or repairs! We've been working with him for 7 or 8 years now. The latest project was replacing the floor tile and (white!) carpet in bathroom hallways and main areas. We chose plank ceramic tile that resembles walnut wood flooring for the hallways and main bath areas and ivory & brown mosaic tile for the small transitional areas.
Rocky was very helpful to work with my schedule as the flooring was shipped.
He is meticulous in planning and as a result, the work goes forward with few surprises!
We can recommend him wholeheartedly!
Rocky has done several jobs for us over the last couple of years. He refinished and painted and repaired our back deck( looks wonderful). He has also refinished and put a new seal on our front door. And he has built and stained some fencing in our front yard. Rocky has always done a professional job for us. He also repaired our wooden address pole and concreted in it ( it was rotting and falling over). We have never had any complaints about his work and have recommended him to our friends !
