They did a great job. They painted one large room of my home. I do not remember any additional fees for what they had done. I had to purchase paint and they had the supplies. I felt he did quality work and I was pleased with the outcome ofservice. Scheduling was fairly easy.

Painter was not very impressive. Not very efficient & was slow moving.
Although this company was difficult to contact initially, when they finally came out to paint they sent two very good painters. The men painted all except trim work which we indicated that we would do ourselves. They sprayed on two coats of paint on the house and
we were very pleased with the results. We felt that the price was more than fair for the job they did.

Contractor did an excellent job but only worked about 5.5 hours after taking phone calls and taking smoke breaks for about 15 minutes per hour. He left the job after being at the location for less than 7 hours. The job was not completed but enough of the "hard" parts were done. I wish I had set the ground rules of time spent on the job and what I wanted to get accomplished was better laid out.

Over all the service was a success. We ordered the Big Deal and a rep from Audubon called to schedule the service. A single painter showed up rather than two so we had them here for two days. Ideally we would have had them stop by first so they could have shown up equipped to paint a tall stair well on the first visit but we ended up hiring them to come back complete that part of the job at a later date.
The painter that came taught us a thing or two about painting and we used that to finish other portions of our house. These guys are top notch.

Professional, quick, good clean-up. Since it was just my garage, I could only evaluate the quality as "good", not excellent.
The one day experience was fine. The following work contracted with the company was not performed.
They were friendly, but painter told me he was doing this job because he couldn't get a job doing what he wanted. Not something you want to hear from your painter
Brian was able to fit the job in just a few days. We discussed applying two coats and if the job required more time than two days, he would call me to authorize more time. He arrived promptly and was courteous. He proceeded to mask the woodwork and carpet, which worked to protect both.
I was out-of-state when Brian worked. He painted one coat throughout and did not call to put in more time or ask my opinion of the work. As a result of having only one coat, there are many places where the old mustard color from the previous homeowner is not completely covered. I am going to have another painter apply a second coat.
The painter showed up a few minutes after 9:00 a.m. The certificate was for 8 hours of painting - two small or one large room. I provided paint from Sherwin Williams. Although it was a one-coat paint, having used the same paint in the bedroom, I knew it would take two coats. The painter did a good job painting. He took a lunch break, and left shortly before 5:00 p.m. During the time he was painting, he made some phone calls and mentioned to me that he had just forwarded some texts to the wrong people and needed to correct that.
When I inspected the work, the painting was well done. However, there were some paint splatters on several pieces of the tile and on the towel rings and bars that I had to clean up.
Although the quality of the painting was good, I was disappointed that he only finished the one bathroom, as I had hoped that he could have done another small room. My master bath is large, but due to the walk in closet, linen closet, tub with a separate walk in shower, two windows, large mirror, door to the small toilet area and the entrance door, there is not a great deal of wall space to paint. I hired someone to do it because I don't have the right type of ladder to reach over the tub to paint the wall. However, this probably qualified as a large room, so perhaps I expected too much. Also this was one of the Angies List Big Deals, so I was paying less than the standard rate for the service.
It is unfair to judge a company by one employee, as others may be faster or have done a better job of clean up.

An insurance company inspector had expressed some concerns about the roof of an inherited second house that we own and Audubon's Big Deal for roof inspection and repair came at just the right time. I purchased $200 worh of services for $79. Since Audubon had re-roofed our own residence the previous years, I was confident that I would receive good, professional service. After purchasing the Big Deal, I contacted Brian at Audubon by e-mail. He responded quickly and arranged to inspect the house. Unfortunately, when he did, he discovered numerous problems with the roof, largely due to a poor roofing job done about ten years earlier when my late parents owned the house. Brian gave me a number of options for repair at various price ranges, but I decided that it would be best to replace the roof with removal of the old shingles. The quoted price was fair, I thought, for a house that is around 2,000 square feet. It took several weeks for Audubon to get the work done, largely because the summer heat was so intense that its crew had to end its work around noon each day to avoid heat stroke. This was perfectly understandable and demonstrated a concern for the workers. Once the job was started it was completed quickly to my satisfaction. Everything was cleaned up well around the house. The only minor issue was that it took an additional couple of weeks for Audubon to obtain and install a cap on the furnace vent.
Shoddy workmanship, lies, broken promises, and unfulfilled contract. This characterizing my experience with Audubon Remodeling. Job started late, was slowed further by the owners tropical island vacation, became lower priority to newer customers as the the job continued to drag on. Had to continually repeat the things that had not been addressed - most of which never got resolved. I had to spend 4 days finishing the job myself. DO NOT use these guys!
When the work was scheduled, the individual doing the work had
apparently not been informed that it was a window installation, and
showed up to "measure the windows" again. The company owner said it was
a mix-up and that the worker thought he was there to do the kitchen
carpentry (that we had not agreed upon), but in speaking with the
worker, we realized this was not true.
The worker did return the
next day and installed 4 of the 8 total windows we'd purchased during
the time he had available. The area was left messy, including broken
glass in our son's room and outside, and additional trim pieces, etc.
left by all the windows. We tried to schedule the remainder of the
windows' installation, but were given the run around for about 8 weeks.
Finally, a date was scheduled, we were assured that the windows
were in stock (though we were also told this back in July when the
original windows were installed. Two days before the scheduled
installation, I was informed by the owner that the company had lost its
contractor's license and they would issue a refund for the incomplete
work. I did not hear from them again, and went through Angie's list for
the refund (which was promptly and professionally delivered.)
The worker and the work went well once it started although it took longer than expected. The issue was with Brian Higgins who came to the house to write up the work contract and collect the 50% deposit. He told us that the work would begin on Tuesday, Aug 28 or Wednesday, Aug 29 at the latest after they finished up another job. On Aug 30, I called the company because no one showed up for the work but my deposit check had been cashed. No one answered the phone and the voicemail announcement said that they were on vacation until September 4! On Friday, Aug 31, the guy that was going to be doing the work called us and said that they had lost some personnel which caused their schedule to push out. While this is understandable, to not call us ahead of time to tell us this is very unprofessional.
The work began on September 4 but only about 2-3 hours of time was spent at the house. The clay tile was removed and a tarp was laid onto the roof but was not secured well so as it started to get windy, the part of the roof with the leak was no longer covered. I tried to call them to have someone come back to cover that up but no one came and no one called. Luckily, it didn't rain that evening. On the 2nd and 3rd day, work progressed but one section that was supposed to get done, according to the contract, appeared to not be getting done. When we asked the worker about it, he said the owner had told him it didn't need to be done because the wood and felt were still in good shape. We called Brian to re-negotiate the contract price since they were not doing about 25% of the work. He was only willing to take off $100 claiming that we were making a lot of money from our insurance claim. Unfortunately, this repair was not covered under our insurance. Because he was not willing to reduce the contract price by about 25%, we told him that we wanted all of the work as shown on the contract to be completed. He agreed but this caused the work to not be completed in 3 days as quoted, but 4 instead.
Bottomline is that the worker did a good job and was friendly and competent enough. Brian and the company were unprofessional, unreliable, and uncommunicative with us when their company suffered some personnel losses and then was quite unprofessional when he attempted to have his worker do 25% less work without contacting us to re-price the contract! If you use this company, you need to make sure your contract is clearly written and then watch and inspect the work as it is being done to ensure that you are getting what you paid for!
The paint job was fantastic, I am thrilled with the quality of the work that was done. I have done almost all the work on this house myself but didn't have time to get this done, so I really wanted to feel like the company doing the work was going to do a better job then I would have. That was definitely the case here, the painter was very thorough, did a lot of sanding and caulking that I would have overlooked and the end result was great, we couldn't be happier with the way it looks.
On the chimney repair there was a mis-communication between what I wanted and what the roofer ended up doing. I was looking to have step flashing installed around the chimney and the roofer did a different style. The roofer was a sub contractor that was not there at the time Brian gave me the estimate, so I would advise that if a sub shows up to do the work, make sure that you are on the same page before they get started. I was happy with the quality of the work, I got up on the roof and saw what they were doing before they left and I have no doubt the leak was fixed, it just wasn't the style I wanted and the finished product looked a little unfinished to me.
This is where I was most impressed with Brian and Audubon, he promptly addressed all of my concerns and worked with me until I was happy with the finished product. He himself came out and painted the flashing a different color to make it blend in better with my home. I'm also fairly certain that his estimate ended up being a little low, as the roofers worked on the flashing they found some material under the roof tiles that had to be replaced, so I suspect there were cost overruns. However Brian stuck to his original estimate which was very impressive.
To me the most important thing you can say about a business is that they have honesty and integrity, and I feel comfortable saying Brian has those attributes. I would be very comfortable working with him again in the future.

Jeff, the person who did the work was on-time, personable and very professional. He found the leak quickly and patched it, and replaced the flashing as well. This was a Big Deal coupon and my expectations were exceeded by Jeff's thorough approach to the repair.
I would (will) hire them again, and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I felt that the owner of the company was a little disorganized and wanted to hurry the workers along. Not worrying about if they were doing a good job or not. They made sure the job was done right. Although I felt the owner just wanted it done yesterday. Fair price, maybe the owner is a little disorganized. The work was done well, although I felt that was due to the workers and not the owner. Thank you for a job well done.

We called and they were out the same day. Fixed not only the source of the leak, but also did preventive maintenance on other potential problem areas. Patched carport ceiling that was damaged by leak and cleaned up afterwards. Our impression of their representative (Jeff Arnold) was very favorable. There was no upselling and no scare tactics to inflate the cost of the job, which was totally covered by a special $99.00 offer via Angie's List. We would not hesitate to use their services again and will recommend them to our neighbors.
