Our 120 year old house had been neglected. The front farmers’ porch was nearly black with mold. So the power washing took many hours. A lot of the wood was rotted so that needed to be prepped and patched and some boards replaced. Again, hours and hours of labor. I hired Rick because of his reviews on Angie’s List and he certainly lived up to his reputation. He and his nephew are very personable, and clearly know their stuff. Meticulous attention to detail, and perfectionism. He also painted our bulkhead and 2 doors, which I wasn’t expecting. The house looks beautiful and I know it was done right and with the best products available.

After spending the summer stripping the paint off our turn of the century tin ceiling my husband and I wanted to be careful who we hired to repaint it to its original glory. After our meeting with Rick Agostinho, his awareness of the special preparation needed for this unusual job, his friendly manner and recommendations of the products we were not aware of made us comfortable. Rick & Alex showed up each day as scheduled in a timely manner and did a phenomenal job. Their professionalism and meticulous attention to detail really impressed us. The ceiling came out beautiful at a reasonable price. We would highly recommend them. Thanks again, Rick & Alex, we are very happy with the end result.

Rick and his team communicated very well before, during and after the job. The job was done to complete satisfaction. Rick ensured the job was quality work, and even re-did a complete side of the house's finish coat after an unexpected pop-up rain shower left a few streaks. And the kid's enjoyed playing fetch with the 4 legged assistant crew-member, Skittles who we gladly approved to have while Rick was there.

Rick and his crew did a fantastic job! They were very pleasant and friendly. Rick is meticulous and it shows in the quality of his work. They cleaned up well each day so we could continue to use our kitchen and dining table each night. He was thoughtful enough to completely finish the main living area first and then start on the other side of the house so we could get back to using it as quickly as possible. We couldn't be there while they worked but I felt very comfortable leaving them there while we were at work. Highly recommend!

Rick did a great job removing textured popcorn ceilings from a large portion of our house. He was able to fit us in to his schedule on an aggressive timeline and fully delivered. Rick and his team were reliable, did what they promised and even went above and beyond by touching up the walls impacted by the ceiling work. Rick paid attention to the details and made sure his guys were doing things right, never cutting any corners or taking any shortcuts. Rick kept us updated along the way and made sure to educate us on every step of the process. He was always available when I called and was more than happy to give us tips and pointers for some painting we are doing ourselves. Ultimately, the work was completed 3 days before it was promised and it looks great. Pricing was on the higher end compared to a few other quotes we received, but you get what you pay for. Would definitely hire him again (and likely will).

Our house was in need of a good power washing so we reviewed several local contractors and decided to choose Auggie's Painting from Hudson. His reviews looked good and people spoke highly of him so we gave him a shot. Excellent decision on our part as Rick was very punctual, explained everything that he and his assistant were going to do, worked quickly and efficiently, and did an outstanding job of washing the outside of our home. We couldn't be more satisfied! Rick is very personable and a true gentleman which makes dealing with him a pleasant experience. We would hire him again and highly recommend him to others. A+++

We had our interior painted by Auggies, 2 days after our floors were refinished. Not only did they do a great job painting, but they were meticulous about protecting the new floors. The crew arrived on site on time, everyday. They worked a good full day and left the house in a neat and organized manner. I highly recommend Auggies and I will use them for all my future projects.

Our house needed some serious TLC after we had an electrical fire, and had to rewire the entire second floor. Not only did Rick and his crew perfectly patch all of the ragged holes left by the electricians, their high quality work and attention to detail left every room they repaired and painted looking worlds better than it did before. The crew did a great job protecting our newly refinished floors and door hardware, and they were very courteous and professional. Auggie's uses only high quality materials and will not settle for any work that does not live up to their very high standards. Rick was very straight forward and communicative during our job, and while they are not the cheapest, their quality of work is worth the money!

Rick and his team did an excellent job from beginning to end! From help with paint colors to cleaning up after the job, they were great to work with. The team was on time everyday and the owner stayed in touch each day checking on the progress of the work. They were in my house at times by themselves and I never had any concern. I was also very impressed by the attention to detail and quality of the work. They have excellent integrity, making sure I knew if anything was broken or scratched even if they were not sure if they did it! Very fair pricing for such excellent workmanship. I would definitely use them again.

Rick did a great job. He started the work on time and finished it on time. There were a couple of places where it needed another coating and he came in early Sunday morning and finished it all. He was very easy to work with.

Rick was prompt in responding to my call and scheduled a time to look at the job that was convenient for me. He went above and beyond with his professional courtesies and even helped me install a ceiling light. He was courteous, professional, and notably the room was spotless when the job was complete. He worked **** ** this project and even helped me select the best paint colors to use. I would trust him with all future jobs. I have never worked with such a nice professional and would recommend him to everyone!

I first met Rick during the 2017 March blizzard. It couldn't stop him, even with no one else on the roads, from coming to my house and giving me an amazing consultation on doing all the interior painting in my 1910 house filled with horsehair plaster and mystery holes (a total of 9 rooms: living, dining, kitchen, 1/2 bath, stairwell/upper hall, guest bedroom, study, main bath & master bedroom). He said that because of the nature of the walls, they wouldn't be "mirror" smooth, and I was totally okay with that. When I was ready to commit, he had a clear and concise contract which covered everything: prepping, using 2-3 coats of compound to repair walls & holes, primer, 2 coats of base primer, 2 coats of color, and 2 coats of ceiling paint. Well, during the process, he went above and beyond. To pick out colors, I went to his color consultant, Katie, and we developed a harmonious color palate for the entire house. During the entire project, he used his care, perfectionism, and professionalism to create practically mirror smooth walls. They're so beautiful I almost don't want to put up any pictures! They are their own work of art. And Rick would find areas he wanted to clean up that I didn't even know could look even better: he has an artist's eye. His entire crew was absolutely fantastic, and Rick definitely ensures that everything is up to his exacting standards. His nephew is just as precise and is developing his technique under Rick's tutelage. I also asked if Rick could help me with a few side projects, such as hanging up new blinds. Again, outside the scope, but he was willing to help, and I was more than willing to pay for the service. If you have a "handyman" question, Rick can help give advice and has a network of professionals who will make it happen. Overall, I could not be happier. It was such a joy to work with Rick and his team. His knowledge is incomparable, and he is a true artist & craftsman. Rick is completely dedicated to doing the absolute best, and his product reflects it. You want quality, you pay for quality, and I received QUALITY. Every penny I spent was a good investment. I will be going back to Rick in a heartbeat if I ever have another painting project!

Rick did a great job on our entry painting job. Our entrance was really transformed. Very meticulous and spent a lot of time on preparation work. We are planning on using Rick for painting the exterior of the house in the spring. He also did some drywall work which was also done perfectly.

Rick's work was great. He needed to cleanup the plasterers work. He cleaned up all the molding so you could truly see the detail of each piece. We have a calcimine ceiling that had previously been repaired 3 times by other contractors unsuccessfully. Rick saw immediately that it was a calcimine ceiling and new what to do and for the first time work is holding and looks incredible. The painting and care of the woodwork in the room was tremendous and looks wonderful. The walls are beautiful. I had a difficult time choosing color and Rick had me meet with a color person, Katie, who was amazing and helped me choose just the right colors of which make us smile every time we look at them. She was a tremendous help and relieved that stress for me. The walls needless to say are gorgeous. Rick and his help were very respectful of us, our home and our pets. His work is phenomenal and my husband and I are both thrilled to say the least. We are redoing other rooms in our home and we look forward to working with him again. My husband said he was impressed by the detail and care that went into their work.

Rick and his guys were really friendly, turned around our job in about a week (on time), and kept us informed every step of the way. Rick also conducted an on-site walk-through with me to provide an accurate work estimate. When the job was done, he and his guys cleaned the room and followed up to make sure we were satisfied with the work (we were!).

We were redoing our kitchen ourselves, but when we tore down the old cabinets, there were so many layers on both the walls and the ceilings, we knew it would be a ton of prep work. We had several people come out quoting anywhere from $900-$4,000 (though I'm pretty sure the $900 quote would not have done a good job and just skipped a lot of prep). Rick's quote was really reasonable and he definitely sounded like he knew what he was talking about. The work took him and 1-2 other guys 4 days (as I said, a ton of prep). It came out looking really good considering how many issues they ran into with our old walls/plaster. Afterwards we noticed there was one spot that was missed that wouldn't be covered by the new cabinets. We called Rick and he was more than reasonable to come out and prep and paint that area for no extra charge as it was part of the original job (he actually came out on a Sunday to make sure it got done). Over all, we are really happy with the work, especially with how difficult the original walls/ceiling were to work with - and at a really reasonable price. On top of that Rick was really nice and responsive, and very easy to deal with. Would absolutely call him first for our next project.

Excellent. They started by power washing the house. They then scraped and fixed rotted wood. They primed, painted the trim and then the body. Investigated and found paint additive to help paint stick to older paint.
