"Thank you for your review Mr. [Member Name Removed]. It's greatly appreciated."
"To whom it may concern, in my years of being a contractor this is one of the most most crazy reviews I have ever seen. A few months ago I went to repair four windows and a door for this customer. I did not charge him a dime, I just said "have a good day" and he gave me an A in all ratings. A few months later he called me to clean and stain a 12' x 16' deck and railings. This took one day to wash and a second day to stain. I also bought 2 gallons of paint with brushes and rollers for $150.00. It took ten hours to do the job. Angies list charges over $60.00 per hour. I only charged him $35.00 per hour plus material cost and I even showed him the [Member Name Removed]. So, he was thrilled when I did not charge him for work. However, it seems to me that when I had to charge him for two days and material, I then get a C rating even though the work was impeccable. Apparently, he thought that all of my work should be free. How can you make a living without charging for your work and materials?"
"Mrs. [Member Name Removed] hired me to do some repair and then paint drywall. I explained to her that there were electrical wires visible on the drywall and that you can't just plaster and paint over electrical wires. It's against code. She got upset because I would not do sub par, against code work. I came back to the home to pick up my paint and equipment and another contractor was using my materials. Who's really wrong in this situation?? How can I get a bad review for refusing to go against town code?"
