They were prompt to show up, sealed up the holes that I told them about, insisted I pay that same day, and left saying if there were any problems that they would return to fix it. The next rainfall I noticed that one of the holes that they patched located 6’ to the right of my chimney was still leaking and there was still tons of water pouring in around the chimney. They returned and said I was wrong, there was no more water coming in from the leak 6’ to theright of the chimney and that all their holes were watertight. The remaining waterfall that was coming in was from damaged metal around the chimney. My roof is old and needs to be replaced but I had just had a contractor repair the metal around the chimney months prior and it was not leaking at that time. So basically Austin & Sons never did their own inspection of my roof to see and address all the damage that the 140’ tree did when it fell on my roof. Ergo they didn’t fix it. When I called to talk to the owner he refused to come to the house and inspect for himself because “I’ve got a business to run.” So basically he’s too busy answering phones to address an unsatisfied customer. When I told him out the hole that was 6’ to the right of the chimney that was still leaking despite his repair work he brushed it off and said he trusted his guys opinion and not my eyesight because I wasn’t a professional. If his guys had properly inspected my roof to begin with they would’ve seen and addressed this leaking chimney area when they initially did the work. He refused to return and make his repairs waterproof. He refused to reimburse one dollar of the money I paid him. He didn’t even offer to come back and charge me to finish waterproofing the house in the area that his guys missed the first time around. When I tell him that I’ll leave him a negative review on Angie’s list, he then threatens to report me to the insurance company for fraud. The only reason I knew they did shoddy work is because my roofing is exposed and not dry walled up. The water leaks were easy for me to spot, but I feel bad for the homeowner who trusts this guys shoddy work. They’ll prolly find years work of water rot and damage t some point down the line.

. It was difficult to remove the wood shingles ,because they were put on with extra nails and staples. The workers had to do a lot of labor intensive scraping of the shingles to be removed. They worked hard for hours at a time.

If you need roofing done, look no further! Everyone we dealt with at Austin and Sons is one of a kind. They worked with us on the price, so it we were able to get it done right away. They used top-of-the-line materials and checked in with us while the crew completed the job. They arrived when they said they would and their work came out amazing! They were friendly and professional and a pleasure to have at our home. They are our new go-to company for roofing and if we need siding in the future, we will contact Austin and Sons.

Very friendly and courteous. </p> <p>I had called the day before and they said they may be able to get to me on Saturday and they called me today and said they had a cancellation and could come out today and do the work. They did a really great job.

John Sinclair headed up the project and his crew did a GREAT job matching up new roofing with sections that didn't need replacing. They also did a fabulous job on replacing the roof at our camp a couple years ago. Quality work and service. Would use again but won't need to.

Punctual and extremely efficient. Went right to work and the work moved along quickly. Any suspect additional work was discussed at the outset of the work and there were no surprises. Very friendly crew. <br />

They were very responsive and made sure I knew what was going on. They even redid the roof on the playhouse that we have on our property. They cleaned up after themselves as well.

They took off 2 layers off old roof and put on new. The part I liked best about what they did, was they found rot and took pictures went over what it would take and fixed it for a reasonable amount. TOP NOTCH!! <br />

Everything went fine. Couldn't have asked for a better crew. The whole yard was cleaned up when they were done. Very professional and punctual. The quality of their work was exceptional.

Job From start to finish and cleanup went very well!

I like the quality of their work. I used them during the closing of the house to make a screen for the porch. We built the roof and siding the first year, and the next year we put flooring and decking. I was happy with the price.

It was a great experience working with Austin and Sons.  When they came to do an estimate, they arrived at the agreed-upon time.  They were very thorough in explaining the process, answering questions, outlining potential issues/costs, etc.  They made an extra trip to bring actual shingle samples, and were very helpful in selecting the right color and style.  The day they arrived to do the actual work, they showed up at 7:30 a.m. and the crew (at least 8 people) went to work immediately.  The roof was done in one day, and they left the yard and surrounding area in great shape - we had virtually nothing left to pick up.  They even offered to trim some trees that were overhanging the roof, which was an extra bonus and very helpful.  The roof looks great and we were very happy with the outcome.  The office staff is equally friendly and professional.  We would definitely hire them again in the future, without any reservation.      <br />

When we called to get an estimate, our call was returned promptly and an appointment set up in a few days.  John arrived right on time, was very personable and thorough, and explained everything that would be done.  As the date for the work neared, they kept us informed on a daily basis as we watched the weather.  The crew arrived on time, and were very professional.  Everyone was friendly and courteous. The workmanship on the job was excellent.  I was worried about my flower beds and they took extra measures to build protective covering around them.  They finished the job in one long day and the cleanup was incredibly thorough.  I walked around the yard with Matt to inspect everything near the end.  They didn't leave one scrap or nail in our yard.  Awesome workers!  We would hire them again. <br />

It when super in every way, this company is number one in my book. the guys were very polite, the clean-up was outstanding, the work done was excellent. the young lady at their office was a joy to talk with, i cant say enough about Austins, they are truly a great company to do business with...... <br />
