Absolutely horrible. My advice is to avoid, avoid, avoid! They took my money quick enough but it was months later that I finally got a new roof - of course that was only after I called and let my displeasure be known. So I got a new roof, but the tiles don't match with the upper part of the roof having a much lighter color than the lower sections of the roof. I paid for gutters, still haven't gotten those but of course they keep pestering me for pictures of interior ceiling tiles that I'm replacing so that they can get the rest of the insurance money. They have no sense of customer service and are only interested in taking your money but not following through on anything. My advice is to avoid this company and go with someone else, I really wish I had.

This spring in Dallas was **** for rain and wind, and I was starting to lose some ties on my roof. I called Jess, because his business has been a long-term supporter of the Dallas Harlequins, and he got me set up with my insurance, and the process was on with this request: "As soon as the weather allows, gitter done" (because for weeks, you couldn't). And that he did. He started work on Friday, June 7, got nearly all of it done in one day, but was cut off by my neighbor at 7PM, because "it's 7PM" and she was adamant. I'm tremendously grateful that Jess came and finished the job Saturday morning, because we all know what the storm-pocalypse was like on Sunday, June 9. I suspect there are still neighborhoods that are recovering. I can't imagine the damage that might have been done to an unfinished roof. So thanks, Jess for getting after this and following through to gitter done! (Plus, with the radiant barrier, my electrical bill is down, and the new tiles are so much more massively durable, I can be confident in another very long run before roofing maintenance.)

They made it very easy by working directly with my insurance company and provided quotes ahead of time to keep things moving. They were able to answer all of my questions. They had some excellent recommendations for unique solutions for the unique type of home that it is. They were all very easy to communicate with. They are full service so they're able to really help you tackle any problem going on with your house.

Comment: Autograph Construction was amazing to work with! We were having an unknown issue with our windows and Jess and his team were able to identify the roof cause. They are a team that we could trust to help us identify the issue and also trust to have the issue taken care of properly. The team was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly and communicative. I would hire them again in a second.

Comment: They helped by replacing my roof as well as installing gutters, fixing broken windows, repairing carpentry, and painting. They also helped me process my insurance claims. They're very knowledgeable; they made sure my insurance company compensated me for all the current Dallas city building codes. Jess is a very good communicator and made sure the crews cleaned up very well.

Jess is a joke! The roof is incomplete the front flat roof boards and tar are unfinished. Even the shingles don't come down all the way to the flashing leaving the under shingle liner exposed. There are thin spots in the paint. He threw away the mailbox refusing to replace. Upon removal of the light he has yet to replace the fixture. He has even neglected to replace the house numbers. All of this incomplete work has taken over a year to (in)complete this project. I got into a yelling match with him for all the problem left from this catastrophe. His response to every criticism was, " It's better than it was". Needless to say, the roof still leaks and he will not respond to warranty repair requests. Unless you want to deal with getting the run around and him dodging phone calls this is the guy for you. Lastly, he does no actual work. He hires somebody to do the work and relies on their integrity to get the work done correctly.

I would highly recommend to keep as far away as you can from Accede Construction aka Jess Marshall and Emily Standeven. The construction ended up being 240% over budget and some of their sub-contractors are sub-standard. I had two fire them from my construction and finish up with other subs. He payed labor that he owed from other constructions with money he received from me. We had agreed on 20% administration fee over cost of materials and labor but tried to inflate labor prices and never produced some of the more expensive material invoices. He constantly said he payed X amount in labor and he hadn't payed the amounts he said he payed. BEWARE.

He uses PayPal to avoid having money in banks so that if he gets sued you can't go after money in banks.

We first made contact with Jesse Marshall with Accede Construction in March of 2016 to repair our roof after a hail storm. We received our first insurance check and gave it to Mr. Marshall as a material deposit per his request. After several occurrence of anticipated start dates that were missed we decided to ask for our material deposit back and part ways and hire someone else to do the job. Mr. Marshall responded that he would be withholding funds from our material deposit for "consulting services provided and restocking of materials", both which were never mentioned or stated anywhere in his contract that we received from him. We agreed to give him another chance only to be disappointed again by another failed attempt to start the job. After several failed attempts to establish any communication with Mr. Marshall or his attorney and a fast approaching insurance deadline, we ended up hiring our own attorney. After doing such, Mr. Marshall's attorney asked if we would be willing to set another date for his client to complete the roof, in which we agreed to only to, only to have it declined by Mr. Marshall. In January 2017 we had our court hearing and presented our case in the Justice of Peace Court. During the case while under oath, Mr. Marshall stated he had our funds from the material deposit sitting aside in his bank account, and he also stated he was able to reuse all materials that were purchased for our house on other jobs. Therefore, he incurred very minimal expenses on our job. In February 2017 the court awarded a judgement in our favor against Mr. Marshall, and Accede Construction, in the original amount of the material deposit we paid him. To this day, Mr. Marshall has made no attempts to satisfy the court issued judgement against himself and his company, and has continued to keep our money for work he and his company has never performed.

Accede and Jess did an exceptional job. He kept us informed every step of the way via email and text and also provided picture updates when he thought it would be helpful. The work was completed on time and on budget. I was especially impressed with the workmanship and attention to detail. Everything looks very professional and polished. There were a couple of instances where we had minor concerns or questions and Jess answered them promptly and to our satisfaction. We would definitely use them again and would recommend them as well.

$9,000
- April or May 2016 my 90 year old mother arranged on her own for Accede Construction to replace her roofing; fascia; siding; gutter and gutter screen; and garage door. She paid Accede $9,000 in advance for materials. Unfortunately, she did all this without our knowledge. She doesn’t remember the details and has no records. - When the family learned in October that she had made these arrangements and that nothing had been done we started trying to contact Jesse Marshall of Accede Construction. He blamed delays on weather and agreed to work on the house the week of 10 October, but nothing happened. - After many calls to his full mailbox I sent an e-mail on 21 October and received a reply from Emily Standeven. She said Jesse would be on medical leave for a few weeks and in the meantime she would coordinate the project. She said they would begin by 28 October or the following week. Nothing happened, even though other roofers were working on houses throughout the neighborhood. - On 3 and 4 November I followed up with e-mails suggesting we should get a refund and drop the whole project. - On 4 November Emily replied that our project was first on their schedule and should be completed within a week. - In a conversation on 8 November Emily proposed to do the roofing without a permit. She said very firmly that it was not required. I checked with the Richardson building office and learned that the contractor was required to be registered (Accede Construction was not) and needed a permit and a final inspection. The building office agreed to pass the word to Accede. - On 9 November I send Emily an e-mail stating the requirement for a permit and registration and telling her to call me to confirm that work would not be started without this. Again I suggested cancelling the project and refunding the money. - On 9 November Emily agreed to let me know when the city requirements were met. - On 10 November the roofers arrived with a permit for the roof replacement only. The other work was not included. We sent an e-mail to Emily asking for the rest of the schedule. - On 16 November we advised Emily that the roof had passed inspection and told her we would pay the balance when all the work was completed. She replied that she would pull the permit for the rest of the work and have it scheduled by Thanksgiving. - By 3 January 2017 we had heard nothing so I sent an e-mail to Emily asking for the status. She did not reply. - On 13 January I followed up with Emily, and Jess replied that he had returned from medical leave. He said he was working on getting the remaining work scheduled ASAP. - That was two and a half weeks ago. So far we haven’t heard anything. In summary, Accede Construction took advantage of our elderly mother. They took her partial payment and then did nothing for about five months. Only after repeated inquiries from our family did they finally respond. At this point we just want to close out the project, with no further payment.

1) First Jess and his team came up to size up what we were trying to accomplish. He listened to all of our wants and concerns
2) Within 24 hours we had a bid for both projects; the other 2 companies we contacted took over 1-2 weeks
3) This was the first time a company recommended a decking/siding solution that was cheaper and longer lasting than what we had in mind
4) He was very communicative throughout the process and responded to emails/txt almost immediately
5) Once the jobs started he provided us with daily updates and pictures
6) We he found something that was not part of the original plan he contacted us immediately with not only the problem but a recommendation with possible solutions
7) His crew was very professional and as clean as they could be given the jobs
8) He personally came to fix any cleanup that was needed
9) He then followed up a week later to make sure we were happy with everything

I highly recommend him and we are already working on the next items.

It did not work out. He took 5 1/2 weeks not to do anything for the renovation while providing excuses the entire time. When I replaced the youngster he dropped with another general contractor, he had the entire dumpster dump on the property. He claimed to have ordered the foundation that was an addition. 5 1/2 weeks later, it still wasn't in.

I was happy with how helpful all the Accede Const representatives were. They were very friendly and cleaned up very well when they repaired the roof. Every question that I had about the roof and about the maintenance of my deck was answered. I have referred Accede to several family friends and coworkers.
