Dan spent the time to thoroughly inspect the system, test for carbon monoxide (which came back at 0 ppm), and clearly explain what he was seeing and just as importantly, what he could NOT confirm without further disassembly. Instead of jumping to conclusions or pushing a repair, he walked me through the possible indicators, explained the limitations of what can be seen without a full teardown, and told me there was no immediate safety concern and no need to rush into a major expense. He also checked other components and gave a realistic, practical view of what to monitor over time versus what actually needed attention now.
