Matthew, owner of Ayers Construction, was very professional as well as personable. <br /> We are owners of new construction and sad to say, our builder did not do a great job. Given all the problems we've discovered since recently moving in (and after being stood up 4 times by other contractors), Matthew was indeed a "breath of fresh air"!! <br /> He went out of his way to make sure that our needs were taken care of and even pointed out things that needed repair that we didn't even realize. As an example, one of our kitchen drawers was not shutting properly causing damage to the side of the drawer. Once he repaired it, he checked all the other drawers and discovered several others were not aligned correctly as well. Had he not taken the initiative to check, we would have eventually had the same issue. Throughout the house we found that our tiled floors were not fully grouted, paint job was unprofessional, doors were coming off the hinges - too many things to list. There was not enough time to get all the repairs completed. We look forward to having him return soon. <br /> Matthew provided quality work at an affordable price. I highly recommend him and plan to spread the word to my clients and friends!! <br />

"Very sorry you feel I did not perform well enough for you you had said no cutting needed all you needed was installation of a pocket door I came there you needed the door cut on the sides not on the bottom I brought the proper saw to use just in case you needed to do a cut on the bottom instead I had to go to another job I had going on get my table saw come all the way back and install the rest of your door I asked you if there's anything else you needed me to do you said you were going to paint the door you are very happy I was happy was very nice working for you I'm very sorry you feel as though I did not perform the best I could and as fast as I could for you is your husband he said he did not know why you told me that the door didn't need to be cut but I did my best to get the work done for you your husband also said he would paint the door if you would have told me he wanted me to paint it I would have if you had all the supplies no problem I was not asked to sorry for your misunderstanding"

Went very well. Matthew is professional, skillful, and a very nice guy. I was comfortable having him in my home, and plan to use him / Ayers Construction again in the future. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs handyman or contractor services. We were so pleased that we are thinking of remodeling our bathrooms with him in the future. <br />

Excellent contractor! Donna is the office contact and she was professional, courteous and considerate. She actually called ME to ask to re sch our appointment. I was impressed as my experience has been contractors just don't show nor call. Matthew was very good and as professional and courteous and considerate as Donna. We plan to have Ayers do an bigger house renovation project for us in the near future! They treat you the way a contractor should!! Highly recommend this contractor. <br />

I'm rather surprised by all of the positive reviews for this contractor. I did not have a good experience. Granted, that the living room I needed painted white was a dark green color and a red wall however, after 8 hours of work, the room was not nearly what I expected. The ceiling, which in my opinion, should have been completely done, only had one coat and, there were some missed spots where the roller obviously missed (not the work of a professional). The painter began with painting the molding and took about 3 hours to complete such molding. When I noticed how slow he was working, I asked him if he would be able to finish the room by the day's end and he assured me that he would. However, this was not the case. He painted the ceiling and walls and left the edging for last. I am by no means a professional painter however, I would think that you would do the edges first and then finish the walls with the roller second. The windows were painted shut and not opened to paint the areas that were not showing. At the end of the day, the contractor quoted me another day's work for $300 and I felt pressured to concede since the work was obviously not completed. After thinking it over, I got really upset and felt a bit manipulated so I decided to hire someone else the next day. I called him that night and canceled his services. He came back with a lower offer (of $175) but by this time, I was just too upset to really want to give him any more business. He then told me that the room actually required to be primed first. This really upset me more since this was not something that he mentioned before he began the work. He also told me that the fire place needed special paint and brush with the paint store didn't know anything about. Made me doubt his expertise even more.

Matthew supplied me with a great painter today that took pride in his workmanship. Did a great job diligently painting my exterior ceiling and exterior painting. Both Matthew and his painter had a great friendly demeanor and were great to have by. Quality of job was very good. Would definiitely recommend them to others. <br />

Overall very good experience, Matthew is a good contractor who knows what he's doing and well versed in general remodel and maintenance. ?He was professional and prompt and mat was personally doing work and supervising his crew and took instruction well and i will have him back shortly for more work.
