Absolutely horrid. Never again would I interact with these terrible people!

Our system was installed in December of 2017, and everything has worked great until a few days ago. Our solar edge inverter went out and needed replaced. Aztec worked with me to get a replacement inverter, and scheduled to install it Very Fast.

We recently purchased a home that had solar panels purchased and installed from Aztec Renewable Energy. Our utility company notified us our panels were no longer sending information to them. We contacted Aztec, left a voice message, and they immediately returned our call and got the process rolling to remedy our problem. This being our first home with solar panels were had many questions. They were very kind and patient with us, explained the potential problems and cost of the potential project. This is our first contact with Aztec and it could not have gone better!

I do not normally write reviews but after my wonderful experience I feel compelled to. I called many companies, and none were as comfortable and easy going as Aztec was. They listened, the staff was excellent, and it was not a “sales pitch” call. The only company that treated me like family and it was clear they were not salespeople. Their experience spoke for itself, and I knew I was dealing with real experts. We received the best deal we could find for the quality equipment we wanted. We had no high voltage DC on our roof and the design made us feel very comfortable with the safety, maintenance and especially performance. I read reviews and if my experience doesn’t speak volumes then the A+ BBB rating should! That’s what really means the most to us. I feel I got the best value for the money we spent and was confident Aztec Renewable energy would be here long after our purchase. All in all were very happy with our decision to go with a Texas pioneer, Renewable Energy Aztec Renewable Energy a REAL Texas company.

Extremely happy with Aztec Renewable Energy. It has taken me some time to write a review. Often times we will write a review based on the customer service, installation process etc. I just want everyone to know we are extremely satisfied with our solar panel set up from Aztec. Charles is such a great person to speak with and he will answer any questions with truth and honesty. Just recently I was going to move forward with a project and Charles actually steered me away from making a costly decision because I didn't really need the add on. It's not everyday that someone will go out of their way to help you. I really appreciate the information and from there we made our decision. If you are thinking about solar panels for your home, why wait go with Aztec!!

I used Aztec Renewable Energy and would absolutely use them again. I felt their pricing was right, by far the most competitive i could find. Also, Charles took the time to make sure i knew exactly what would happen and what the process was. At the time of installation, the installation team was kind and very hard working. The lead of the team took all the time necessary to ensure that I understood the ins and outs of the system. I’m making my own energy now and i had a great team to lead the way!

I have had my Aztec Renewable Energy solar panels for over two years, and I am very pleased with the performance of the equipment as well as the whole process. Upon activation of my system, my average monthly electric bill went from over $150 to under $15. Additionally, it has required no service or maintenance. The initial sales call was low pressure, and Charles took the time to educate us regarding the use of solar energy. The cost of the installation was exactly what was quoted; and the installers were professional, experienced, and very proficient. The system is functioning just as efficient as it did on day one. I would recommend solar panels to save money and do good for the environment. I recommend Aztec because of their expertise and courtesy.

I am writing this to praise the solar company doing business as Aztec Renewable Energy LLC. Denton, TX. I am a retired Police Lieutenant with 28 years of service on a major metropolitan police department. I graduated from college in 1969 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. That’s my background. The reason I bring it up is I am a seasoned investigator with technical savvy. Winning my trust and confidence is difficult. My project is residential with a grid tied/battery back-up system. My adult daughter served in the US Army and spent nearly two years in the “sand box” during the first Gulf war. She served with distinction and developed MS because of her exposure to “something” over there. Because of this, there is medical and other electrical equipment she must have available 24/7 even in the event of a power failure. That explains my need for a solar system with battery back-up. I have a back-up generator but, they require fuel and running it 24/7 for a week or longer could be problematic. I thoroughly vetted Aztec along with 5 other companies servicing my area, the Dallas, TX metroplex. I started with Better Business ratings and complaints and whittled it down to 3 companies. One company had 73 customer feedback letters, 67 of them were complaints. Aztec had the best BBB history and their quoted price was competitive. On paper, Aztec was the logical choice. During the design phase I got to work closely with an Aztec engineer Robert Maxson and company President Charles Crumply. During the installation I worked with their lead installer Daniel Polomsky. These men worked through the problems of this complex design and kept me appraised of their progress every step of the way. The project took 4 weeks longer than expected but, the delays had a lot to do with design changes that could not be anticipated. All in all, I would highly recommend Aztec to family and friends. Their work, price, quality of equipment and service is excellent.

CAUTION CAUTION CAUTION If you are considering Aztec for Solar Panels Installation, please read this review before signing the contract. Quick chronology of events: 1. First meeting with the contractor rep on June 7, 2016 2. Intent to sign contract and preparation for 3D design on July 1, 2016 3. Aztec arranged for financing with Service Finance Company, July 1, 2016 4. Signed loan agreement with Service Finance Company, July 12, 2016 5. Signed Contract with Aztec on August 12, 2016 6. Informed Aztec on August 21, 2016, that will be on vacation from September 9 to 29. 7. Informed Aztec on September 30 that I will be on vacation from October 30, for 15 days. 8. Informed Aztec on March 9, 2017, that will be on vacation from April 12 for 6 weeks. 9. Aztec contacted me on March 21, 2017 that installation will start March 23. 10. I informed that March 23 installation date is fine but remember I will be gone from April 12 for 6 weeks. Hence, installation completed and inspected by that time. 11. Project manager for Aztec concurred that all will be completed. 12. March 27, installation complete, but half the panels did not work due to faulty connections. 13. On March 31, electrician came back and corrected the connection and all panels worked. 14. On April 3, Aztec arranged for city inspection for April 7. Inspector came, but nobody from Aztec showed up for inspection. Inspection failed due to no electrician. 15. On April 12, 2017 I left for 6 weeks of vacation. Aztec knew well in advance that I would be gone. 16. Finally upon my return, the inspection was done on May 26th, and the system was operational. Conclusion: After almost one year since my initial meeting, the system was operational. My experience with Aztec cost me a lot of money. During the initial meeting and subsequent meeting and signing the contract, I was lead to believe that I will get $4,410 Oncor incentive rebate. The economics of the whole project was based on receiving the Oncor rebate of $4,410. What Aztec failed to tell me was that my project got pushed back into 2017 from 2016, as a result, the Oncor rebate reduced from $4,410 to $1,615. Had I known that the rebate was reduced by 64%, I would have cancelled the project. That tells me that what type of business practices are employed at Aztec. If that was not enough, the installer did not install the panels as they were designed and approved on the drawings. When I question the installer, they said it was better, which was a lie, yes, better and easier for installer but not the panel’s production efficiencies. When Oncor did the final installation, they further reduced the rebate from $1,615 to $1,421 because the installer did not install panels as per approved drawing Of course, Aztec did not take responsibility for any of these. In conclusion, my rebate was reduced from $4,410 to $1,421, the reduction of 68%. Beware of the Service Finance Company, they are working for Aztec and not for you. My project was financed by two loans: Loan 1, No interest and no payment loan for 12 months, which was comprised of Federal Income Tax refund $4,497+ Oncor Incentive Rebate $4,410, the total of $8,907. The idea is to pay this loan back in full in 12 months that is when I receive Oncor rebate and Federal Income Tax refund. Loan 2, the remaining amount for 240 months at 5.99%. Once the physical work was done and panels were producing the power, I informed the finance company on May 29, 2017 to release the funds for the 2nd Loan, and at that time I specifically told them NOT TO RELEASE the funds for the Loan 1, because I am working out the details for the Oncor rebate. At that time, I did not know the timing or the amount of the rebate. Also, Aztec sales rep had lead me to believe that the rebate will come directly to me from Oncor. This was also a lie. The rebate check was sent to Aztec. As I understand now that Aztec had called their contact at the finance company, who immediately releases the funds for both the loans. When I learned that on June 9, 2017, I wrote a memo to the finance company’s compliance department. The manager from the finance company who is in the bed with Aztec, called me about the memo and basically told me I have no say so in releasing the loan. Once Aztec tells them the project is finished, they release the funds. After my experience, I checked on the finance company rating, and they have many complaints about the same issue as I mentioned earlier. If you want more control about the release the funds, then DO NOT GO WITH Aztec recommended company. Overall, I give Aztec C minus. They are notorious about not communicating with you. Their sales rep is worse than a used car sales man. He will lie to you and tell you whatever you want to hear. After all, their product is superior and will perform as promised in a brochure. Aztec Renewable Energy, Inc recently installed a solar system on my home. The entire process was handled very professionally from start to finish. Charles is very knowledgeable about the process and its operations and  very helpful with understanding how the system would operate. Aztec's construction crew was great to work with.  The crew was hard working and very polite.  Tony was a delight to work with explaining every detail. I have watched my electric meter spin backwards for a majority of days and even when my A/C is running.  At this point I couldn't be more pleased. <br />
