I was very happy with all the work done and everyone I dealt with was very professional and they know their pond stuff!

I'd previously asked Backyard Ponds to clean and net my ponds the last week in September. I called the Friday before to find out when they could come, and they agreed to send their workers on Monday. They team arrived on time. They were pleasant and professional I walked them through what I wanted them to do. It was a complicated job; there were three ponds, and each pond required different care. The team went to work right away. They spent most of the day on the effort, breaking only for lunch. When they were done, I inspected the ponds. The only thing I had to ask them to do was put a net over the waterfall on one of the ponds. The fish they handled were in good condition after the cleaning. The workers left no debris on the job site. The company sent the bill in a timely manner, listing labor and materials so I would understand the charges. I would happily use them again!

My pond is the healthiest it's ever been, I don't know if it's because of backyard ponds, or whatever? But I now have baby fish about 12 of them and I am going to hire them to do my winterization. I got a very professional reminder from backyard ponds in the mail today, and I really appreciate the reminder. Sometimes things like this slip your mind, but it's very nice that they remind you that winter is coming up, and you need to plan for the future. My fish are not expensive, because this is a newly renovated pond. But I'm very happy with the job that they did, and I will recommend them in the future. And I will be using them very soon

Backyard Ponds is magic. I have a small backyard pond,stream and waterfall that have been <br /> leaking for years. Various workmen had poured concrete into it, slathered mortar <br /> between stones and sprayed special waterfall foam all over the sides of it. My <br /> pond, stream and waterfall continued to leak. Hilary of Backyard Ponds looked at it for a while, moved one <br /> stone and fixed the leak. How did you do that! I yelled. Well after you work on <br /> enough of these things you get an eye for what the problem could be. Then she <br /> vacuumed all the mud that had been clogging the pum , reattached the waterline <br /> and pump that I could never get to stay together, restacked the rocks along the <br /> edge of the stream so they actually sat on top of each other instead of sliding <br /> down at all angles, and added a few strategically placed rocks to hide the pump <br /> and waterline and cover the rubber sides of the stream. She added a regulator to <br /> the water line so I could make the water run fast and slow. And more. I have had <br /> a pond and stream for fifteen years, and many people have worked on it, from <br /> expensive professioanl landscapers to guys I would swear the contractor picked <br /> up off the street corner. The difference in using someone who specializes in <br /> ponds is stunning. Backyard ponds is <br /> magic. <br />

Their crew (2) showed up when they said they would, finished the job in the time allotted and cleaned up beautifully.

Several people came to do the work over several days, but they were rarely the same people and had little idea of what had been done previously.  Although all of them seemed to have a good professional knowledge of ponds, fish, and aquatic plants, they did not seem to communicate very well with each other. In fact, Jen, the manager, seemed to get completely opposite information from Hillary, the project manager, than I was given.  At one point I had to call them to remind them that they had left their equipment, hoses, etc. at my house and noted that the project was not completed.  I had to put the fish back into the pond myself.  The only thing that was done efficiently was the presentation of their bill. <br />

They did a pretty thorough job. We've been pleased with them so far. Everybody has been very nice. They've pretty much been reliable. When they say they're going to come, they come. They get back to you. It's a good recommendation. They showed up on time, cleaned up after themselves and seemed to work pretty steadily. They were friendly. We didn't have any problems. They did what they were supposed to do and their prices were reasonable for what we thought they did. They said it would take about a day and they did it in about a day. They were upfront. There's not that many companies that do what they do, so we didn't do a lot of comparison shopping, but we thought the price was fair. I've been using them for maintenance work.

Overall they did a good job,  price was higher than estimated because they did not actually come out to see the pond first, just gave them pics on-line.  Wish the estimate was closer.  Turned out to be an extra $200. <br /> The guys who cleaned the pond were nice and quite knowledgeable. <br /> <br /> <br />

Backyard Ponds provided beautiful, responsive and timely pond cleaning - they worked us into a busy schedule in time for our wedding, and the pond looked fabulous! <br />

They did okay.   They did a good job.

They came in and cleaned my pond up and got it going for the spring and summer. They took care of my fish, and made some recommendations for maintenance throughout the summer.
