It went wonderful they did a great job would recommend to hire them in the future.

Mr. Barton himself came out to assess the job. Sent his team to do the work. Team was professional and courteous and was flexible during cleanup.

I had cut down some trees and brush and it was more than I could transport myself. They were able to take away the debris, and trimmed a tree I had too. The tree looked great after they were done. I will do business with them again.

I have used the company in the past and have been very pleased with their service. They are very professional and easy to work with. It is very easy to contact them and scheduling is not an issue.

Barton's was on time for their estimate and fully explained the permit process for tree removal within 1,000 feet of the water.  I received two bids and once I determined that Barton's was the chosen contractor I contacted them regarding the permit.  They were quick to respond with the permit application and explained that they would begin work once the permit was approved by Anne Arundel County.  Two days after receiving the approved permit from the county the work was scheduled. <br />

Caring professionalism <br />

I have concluded that Barton was swamped with clients and was afraid that due to his failure to meet me although he called and said he would not be able to come (there were terrible traffic conditions at the time) I would give him a bad evaluation, which I have not. Bear in mind,the previous above is pure conjecture on my part.

Ed Barton came out personally to look at and discuss the job.  He emailed me a quote and called me to see if I received it and asked if I had any questions.  We set up a date for the work to be done.  I asked if we had to be home and he said, "no problem" if we weren't.  An earlier date presented itself and I got a call from Ed to see if I would like it done sooner and I did!  He did all the work as specified in the quote but did tell me that one thing that I requested did not need to be done because the tree was very healthy.  I appreciated the expertise and advice.  (some contractors would do the work just so they could charge for it).  All the work was done and everything was all cleaned up. The trim work on our large Oak tree looked great and the other diseased tree was gone and all that remained was a nicely filled hole. Same with the Weeping Willow site.  Very professionally done.    <br /> Ed Barton was a pleasure to work with and I will be inviting him back to do more work!  I will also recommend Barton's Tree Care, LLC to my friends and family.  <br /> Anne Rhine <br />

Representative came out  to give an estimate ,they were very knowledgeable with  great customer service. Barton's tree care beat all other quotes.   They came out on time and did a professional job.  I have approx. 2 acres and they trimmed several trees and took down one large Oak Tree.  Will defiantly use them again. <br />

had a very large tree that grew into my well head and cut off my water. I had another tree service come and cut down the tree but they could not free the well head from the stump. I called as an emergency to Barton's Tree Care. They stayed until after 8:30pm trying all sorts of different techniques to grind the stump without damaging the well head. I was able to get the water the next morning. I would highly recamend their service. <br />

A limb from our historic 250 year old 70 ft tree broke off and fell on the house.  (A very big piece like the size of a small bus) Apparently, a lot of homes in the Maryland area suffered damage because of the big snow storm that hit the area at the beginning of the year. Then we were hit with high winds towards the end of summer,  with some areas reporting small tornados passing through the Maryland region. <br /> Though we had a few choices of tree removal companies, we chose Mr. Barton because our neighbor used his services therefore he came recommended. Once he assessed the work required he gave us a price and made a few promises to do what the other companies did not have the experience to do (according to Mr. Barton) He claimed himself to be an arborist <br /> and gave us a contract which reflected the same cost as everyone else but he bragged of what he can do to help us. The pricing came out to exceed the allotment that the insurance company was giving, therefore we came out of pocket to cover the remaining balance. Thinking he was going to stand by his contract we allowed this guy and his crew to come into our yard to do what they do. (I took pictures and filmed the work being done.) What a mistake this company would be for anyone else to use!  They removed big sections of the tree that the insurance company allowed. But made a complete mess of the rest of my yard with the remaining pieces in the process. I have images posted on Face Book which can be viewed by anyone interested. They were suppose to remove the remaining stump or at lease cut it down to a smaller size. Now I have a 20 foot tree stump that sits at the top of the hill in our yard. It is an eye sore. There have been a few offers to remove the rest of the stump but everyone's price is way to high. Funny thing about Mr. Barton's company is the fact that he said his company does landscaping. You would think he would make an offer to come by and replace the fence and landscape the rest of the property right? Mr. Barton took his money and we never heard from this guy again.  I can prove one other fact about Mr. Barton. I have him on film saying that he and his crew could have walked away from finishing the project. But because I was being so kind and friendly he would finish the task at hand. "Walk away from the project" he said! Let me ask you Mr. Consumer, would you want the company you contracted to 'Walk Away' from completing the task you hired them to do?  <br /> Oh, I must mention this as well. When asked if he would remove the rest of the stump Mr. Barton replied that he did not have a carbine blade to cut into the rest of the tree! You see, the inside of this tree is full of 250 year old dirt! (makes a great fertilizer for flowers and other trees) So why not peel the rest of the tree to get to the middle like I intend on doing myself? I'm not a professional tree remover with a lot of tools like Mr. Barton's tree removal service. And still I am willing to give peeling the tree a try so it can be reduced in size.  <br /> My wife did not trust him from the beginning! He kept feeding her story after story after story about what he and his company had done in the past. Reluctantly we paid this guy. We were going to fight him but was happy with the fact that the tree limb was off the house. Today July 2013 we are still suffering from the damages in our yard. The fence is still not complete. I have the parts of the new fence with no one to help me finish the job. Our garden is still far from what it was but recovering. My wife is still so upset that she will not sit in her yard like she wants. Don't use Mr. Barton's tree service unless you have so small of a job you could have done it yourself, but you don't have the time. Otherwise, you are in for a shower of lies and bad service!
