Egress Window Installation
They installed 2 egress windows in November. The second one was not properly installed. They kept coming out to adjust the window. After the 4th time, they replaced the window. They broke my fence, broke the cement driveway slab, ripped the siding off the house. They did repair the fence. Still haven't repaired the damage to the house or the driveway. They stole the gravel from the landscapers, but did pay for that. I paid someone else to patch the side of the house. We discovered that they never put drains in the egress windows. One of the windows shattered from the weight of the large amount of water that collected in the window well and the basement flooded. It cost $15000 to dry out the basement. They had just finished remodeling the basement. The walls, floors, and new furniture was water and mud damaged. Basement Repair Specialists is not accepting any blame for anything. They came over and demanded money for work done. Didn't even board up the shattered window.

This was an excellent experience! From the time I made the phone call to Selena until the inspection was done. Bob Reger came to my home and was professional but very polite. He took his time & was thorough with the inspection. He Gave me great pointers & taught me things about my home that I didn’t know. Most importantly, he was very honest, which in the long run, saved me money. This is a company that puts their customers first! Thank you!

Bob, the estimator was very thorough in explaining the scope of the project and was extremely helpful in scheduling. Our project was for a condo association and needed to be presented at a meeting before we could proceed. Once we gave him the go ahead, we got put on the schedule. They had to adjust the schedule by two days, but gave us plenty of notice so it was never an issue.
A couple of days before our schedule date, we got a reminder call about our upcoming project and we're told who our technician would be. On the day of our project start, Francisco called when he was on his way and gave us an arrival time. He arrived within minutes of the time that he said he would be here. He worked diligently for 2 days and got the project done in the time that was promised. Everything looked great and we were very happy with the work. It was a great experience overall and I would definitely recommend Basement Repair Specialist sto anyone needing similar repairs.

Very impressed with this company, from estimate, to finished work. Stan explained why the work was necessary and showed me multiple options and pricing. All my questions were answered thoroughly. The crew that did the work was amazing. Miguel kept me informed through every step. He would call in the morning to confirm arrival time, which I appreciated. They cleaned up at the end of each day, also appreciated. We had a delay, and the Project Coordinator, Leslie, kept me informed as well. I highly recommend Basement Repair Specialists. No one wants to hear they need basement repair work. BRS made it less “painful”.

I could not believe what they did in only two days. It is so nice to not have water anymore. The salesman really knew and understood the project and what it would take to get it done.

First, Bob [Provider Name Removed] took the time to explain all aspects of what is causing the mold in our crawl space. His explanation was consistent with the mold testing specialist/microbiologist we hired. The options for turning our crawl space into a mini basement were in-line with what our microbiologist said. The installation team was great to work with. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and respectful of our property. They cleaned up all the post project debris too. We are very happy with our fully enclosed crawl space that doubles as lock-and-key storage. We highly recommend the entire Basement Repair Specialists team.

First, I would like to say your crew was nice to work with. We have not had enough rain to see if the job was a success or not. I would like to say that we were disappointed in the installation of the egress window well, but after your crew came back out and repaired it, it looks good. We were not happy that your crew did not say anything about the damage that was done to the rain gutter and soffit. I do not think they would have said anything if I would not have seen it and said something. When your crew came back to repair the egress window well, they told me they would go get some paint and paint it. That was not done, and that would not have fixed the gutter and soffit that is only a year old. Now to the inside, we think your crew did a good job installing the drain tile, removing the debris, and cleaning things up, however, we are not happy with the way the concrete was put back in. It is not smooth, there are stones showing, and we think we could have done a better job. When your crew came back out to repair the egress window well, they said they could grind off the high spots, but I told them not to bother because it will still look like a kid did the job.

Bob Reber was very diligent, on time that was promised and repaired my sump pump to perfection. He knew exactly what he was doing with professionalism and efficiency. I have not had a problem since then. I am extremely pleased this company and feel more at ease now and confident with Basement Repair Specialists out of Appleton, WI. I highly recommend them!

Apparently their 8-hour work day includes travel time. 5 hours of travel time. It was supposed to be a 2-day job that took one week. They were never at my house before 10:45 and gone by 3:00. The first two days they did not arrive until after lunch. Nobody called the inspector so the concrete was delayed. And then we discovered that they had installed the wrong sump pump, so our salesman had to come back with the right one.

Five stars was not high enough. They did concrete work, tiles, sump pump for our basement that had started leaking. The salesperson Bob Reber was honest, trustworthy, and very knoweledgeable. The guys that did the work were so professional and respectful. I can't say enough good things about this company.
