Basements r us llc

It went very badly. They did not finish the work despite we paid them almost for everything. <br /> They stopped working and coming to our place without any notice. They did not respond to our emails and voice mails. <br /> Their 'project manager' assigned to  us had to report to the company owner (Erich) for every little thing. So when Erich decided to take a week of vacation, everything stopped!! I do not understand how they can still be in the business with such an attitude. <br /> After several weeks without any news and call back, we decided to use another contractor, re-submit and pay the permits, and pay more than what was planned initially. We never told Erich we were breaking the contracts. They NEVER even called back.Can you believe it? <br /> At the end of the day, we lost several thousands of dollars,  had to pay and re-submit for new permits, lost several months. <br /> Stay away from this company at all price. They are dishonest and unrespectful. <br />

I had 3 other contractors give me estimates. Niemann General Contractor/Builder LLC came in the middle with price. I decide to go with them based on feedback I received on his referrals.  Boy was that a big mistake. The project started out good. Eric and his co-workers showed up on time and started framing my basement. About a month into the project i noticed Eric Niemann was not showing up but his workers did.  I called Eric numerous times and asked him why he was not showing up to the job.  He said he had other things to do for work and not to worry his crew knew what needed to be done.  I beg to differ.  After inspecting the downstairs numerous times, things were not looking right.  I called Eric again and said he needs to get here and correct all the below then standard work performed on the project. Work came to a halt until Eric Showed up at my house to take a look at what was wrong.  He addressed all my complaints and said he would fix everything within a few days.  Well days went into weeks and weeks went into months. I called him numerous times without an answer. Finally after calling the BBB and the reaching out to Monmouth Consumer Affairs I received a response from Eric that he would be back to finish the job in 2 weeks. Sheetrock was delivered to my house that day and sat in my driveway for the 2 weeks. When the time came some men showed up that I have never seen before and said they were there to install the sheetrock.  Eric was nowhere to be found or unreachable. At this point I was so fed up with Eric I just let these guys move the rock into my basement and start sheet rocking so I could just get this project done. These guys that put the sheetrock did a good job but pointed out to me that "a lot of things are crooked with the walls and we will do the best we can". What could I say at this point.  That was the last I have seen of Niemann General Contractor/Builder LLC <br /> or Eric.  It has been an on going battle trying to recoup my losses with this guy. Even the NJ Consumer Affairs department is having trouble locating this guy.  I ended up having someone else come in to correct and finish the job and have been in contact with a lawyer to recoup my losses.  Buyer Beware of this guy.  He did me wrong and has never tried to resolve the problems. <br /> <br /> Updated 3/26/13   Got an email from Angie's List requesting that I verify my review with a copy of a contract from Niemann Contracting.  Apparently they have no recollection of finishing my basement.  I gladly gave them a copy of the estimate and contract that was signed and dated. This was enough to verify this review. So it will stay posted on Angies's list for all to see. <br /> As for the response from Niemann Contracting below,  I find it hard to believe you don't no know who this is. My profile on Angie's List is open for everyone to view, including yourself. On top of that, after all the numerous phone calls and letters from the Monmouth County Consumer Affairs,  Ocean County Consumer Affairs and BBB, with my name attached to every complaint, Instead of responding negligent to the matter, perhaps you should acknowledge it and do the right thing already. <br /> <br />          ********** BUYER BEWARE ******** Please check with these departments before you sign anything with this company!!

Great Contractor! We decided to go with them bc they were a design/build company so we didn't have to hire anyone else for the project. We wanted high end everything and thats what they delivered. Contacted a few angies list contractors and they didn't even come close to the presentation that Neimann Contracting provided. They are currently doing some remodeling work in my store in point pleasant,NJ. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thanks <br />

My husband and I contacted a few big named design/ build companies in the area to remodel our condo. Niemann Contracting llc was our last consultation to come in. They walked us throughout the home and recommended things to us that were very beneficial and that none of the other companies came up with.  The owner made us feel at home and reassured us that the construction process would go smoothly. The project took about 3 months which he planned. He dealt with all the permits and township regulations/codes. Came in on time and budget! Thanks for a great job! Highly recommend to all my neighbors, family, and friends! <br />

Erich From Niemann Contracting LLC was great. Our house was totally destroyed. He came in and gave us a great quote. Around this time there were a lot of contractors preying on the victims of sandy and we didn't want to get caught up on all of that. The project took approximately 2 months and He came in on time and budget. He also remodeled 5 other homes on our block after ours. So i would say he is definitely a great contractor to work with. Unlike the typical stereo type he  kept constant contact with us and never walked away or disappeared from the job. His crew was very knowledgeable. Thanks again for everything! <br />
