This is the second time hiring Bath Fitter Utah. Nick came back today to switch out a part, much appreciated! All contact I have had with Bath Fitter, from sales through installation was a great experience. Thank you for bending over backwards to help us with our dated bathroom.

We have had our new shower for just under a year. And while we love having a walk in shower, there a glaring mistakes that make me so mad whenever I see it. #1 the shower doors are not level at all. #2 the drain cover is too small. #3 the covers on the grab bar are not the right size and the cover becomes loose. #4 we called and revised our order to have the shower wall go the ceiling and when the installer came he had the 1st order shower. He talked my husband into staying with the one he had on the truck. #5 we were never reimbursed. #6 the cover where the top and the sides of the walls come together is not even and has a gap. #7 the doors were too high and water splashed all over the floor. They did want to come and fix it. Repeatedly told my husband that it was normal to have water splash onto the floor. Made repeated calls to have them come look at it. I believe the only reason that eventually come out was that the corner shelving came in. #8 the person that came out stepped into our new shower with his dirty boots leaving dirt and mud. His way of fixing the shower was to take a chisel and force the doors down. #9b the installer put unpaintable caulk on the walls where we had to paint. So we had a h*** of a time not only trying to paint the walls it is coming off. I believe they took advantage of my husbands illness. That he was too sick to have to deal with the hassle of getting everything fixed. The lifetime warranty is just a selling point and not a promise they were willing to fill. If they did not want to fix the door why would they fix anything else. So for $7,000 would I recommend them? NO WE DO NOT.

<p>The mechanic/technician had to do some rework to prevent the door from being pulled from the wall/structure.</p> <p>As for the office manger, I don't believe she was very professional relative to speaking to me as I was either being too picky about the quality of workmanship, a bother or flat out a pain in the rear end. On one occasion, I came into their store to get a sample color of the shower we had installed and she came from the back of the store and quickly stated that she was in a meeting and what did I want....... How in the world was I to know that she was in some meeting esp. since I did not receive " a memo saying don't bother me until my meeting is over ". Once she told me that no other customers has as many complaints as I did and my reply was maybe those customers were unaware, afraid to say something or accepted as is and her reply was that maybe I had spent too many years (45 +) in the Quality Assurance Dept. With reply, I decided to discontinue the conversation and just request to have someone to come out and fix the problem. If quality is part of their process, then the office manager should be given some sort of training in customer relations as well as a brief outline in Quality and what in means to customers such as myself.</p> <br />

I was trying to decide between getting a shower insert (like what Bathfitter does) and doing tile. I am so glad I chose Bathfitter! Bathfitter was able to install a shower with my existing tub in less than one day. It looks great! I waited a couple of weeks to do my review, to be sure everything worked okay and it does. <br /> Everyone involved in the whole process was very nice, from the show room to the installation. The sales guy who came to my house was able to walk me through the choices with no pressure. It was not necessary to replace or even cover my old tub, which I appreciated him telling me as it saved me a lot of money. <br /> When it came time to install, the Bathfitter installer removed the old tiles around the tub, opened the wall to install the pipes for the shower and put everything back together with the new wall system. The walls around my tub were very crooked before and the tub had a weird shelf along the side and the installer was able to even out the walls and blend the shelf into the new shower. It looks much better than I expected actually, considering what they started with. <br /> The installer was VERY patient with me as I could not decide where to put the shower curtain rod and even moved it for me once. He left the work area cleaner than he found it. Really, everything was great. <br /> If there was any down side, it's the early closing time of the showroom. As a person with a daytime job, It was challenging to get there while they were open. It probably wasn't even necessary to go to the show room but I wanted to see the product before a sales guy came to my house. Once I got there though, seeing the option in the showroom helped me better understand the product and the various options and made me feel more comfortable with the decisions. <br />

Bath Fitter Utah completely transformed three long-outdated and dysfunctional bathrooms in our home, expertly managing and helping us to visualize the project from conceptualization to completion. We are extremely satisfied with the work of Bill Vanden Boomen, Debra Mahoney, and their team of installers, who efficiently and expeditiously completed the project in minimum time with a great deal of flexibility in incorporating our ideas and desires as the project moved forward. The overall installation was very good; the installer worked hard and was proficient. The price seems high but was not unreasonable. <br /> My major complaint was that I requested, several days in advance of the job, that the installer save some of the tile he removed for use elsewhere. Then the very morning of the installation, I made that same request again. But none of the tile was saved. That was a mistake on Bath Fitter's part. <br />

All he did was install the basin for a shower. They were supposed to prep it for tile, but they claimed that was not part of their contract. All he did properly was install the greenboard, but he left it 2 inches short so now I have to replace it.

"Mr. [member name removed], We installed a beautiful new custom fitted acrylic shower base, but also removed and disposed of your existing fiberglass jetted tub, and replaced your old drain with a new one. Further, the green board that was installed by our technician was done for cosmetic reasons only. After removing the old tub and installing a new low acrylic shower base it left a 1' gap and he didn't want to leave the studs exposed when he had finished. You were never charged for this, nor was it ever written on the contract. The tile and grout company/person you chose to patch your existing tile surround with the tile you had saved, should have removed the small cosmetic section of green board replaced it with cement fiber backer board. Cement board is the proper wall material to use when installing tile and grout. This person/company should have known this. As for the price, you and all of our customers are never coerced into buying from Bath Fitter. You are able to have as many bids/estimates as you want and compare products and prices. I personally came to your home and we had a very nice visit and I thought we left on excellent terms and that is why you selected Bath Fitter to do the shower base in your home. I'm sorry that you felt compelled to give our company such a bad review. We recently were awarded the 2013 Super Service Award by Angie's List. It was done in about 6 hours with minimal noise and mess. It looks great! The basic package was $3995 and then we upgraded the fixtures to oil-rubbed bronze for and added a glass sliding door for. We also added a tower to hold soap/shampoos. You do pay extra for every little thing you add/change. The basic $3995 (price is now a little higher)only covered the base, basic flat marble look walls & chrome moen fixtures. Having said that, we looked at all the similar companies - whitewater, bathcrest, re-bath, contractor and this was the nicest product, with the least hassle. They have a nice showroom in Sandy. They will give you prices up front. Their product has a lifetime guarantee. I have spoken/met with everyone from the sales agent, office manager, installer & owner and they are all super with customer service. It is a little more expensive than getting a contractor and doing a base with tile walls, but this is a seamless, groutless product, no hassle install & lifetime warranty. The money makes that worth it to us!

All the work, except for painting, was accomplished in a little less than a day and a half. Painter came a few days later and spent several hours. Love my new bathroom.

My experience with them went just fine. The work looks good. We picked them up on Angie's List and called them. Their responsiveness was not too good. It took them a while and then they postponed it for two weeks and I lost money on it because it was a ceramic unit and I had to wait for it to get done. When they said they would come they did.

Initial contact: great--had lots of sample to choose from, very professional and answered all initial questions. <br /> Responsiveness: There are very busy so it took several weeks from purchase date to get the install appointment. However, they did the job as scheduled and as promised <br /> Workers: Clean and courteous. Very professional. Did the job in one day as promised. See "Other" below <br /> Product: Love the product. Was as good or better than the samples. has a great look and feel to it. <br /> Price: Was very competitive and for us a much better deal than going with a complete retile job. <br /> Other: Initially the installed product didn't not have the oil rubbed bronze drain to match the other trim, it was standard chrome and did not match. Not a big deal--they ordered it and it came in and was installed within 1-2 weeks later. Also the water doesn't completely drain right away in the center of the shower like there is a low spot. It does drain well when taking a shower, but a small puddle is left after the shower that eventually drains away. I asked about it and was told by the installer that it would get better with time and as more showers were taken. It has gotten better but not completely resolved, so I plan to have them back out to advise. I have complete confidence they will take care of it, but I will follow up here if they do not. <br />

I was never left feeling pressured into something I didn't want. <br /> The work was scheduled for a particular date and when that time came the worker's showed up on time.
