"We apologize to everyone who purchased the Bathroom Design Consultation Big Deal we ran. The deal was not appropriately worded for the services we offer, and we're working with Angie's List to offer refunds for all the people who purchased this deal. The deal listed was sold for $49.99 and it was listed as a “design consultation that includes a drawing”. This was our first time running a Big Deal Promotion and there was a miscommunication between our Angie’s List Representative and our company. Our company specializes in stone and tile fabrication and installation. Our goal was to offer clients a consultation on which materials to order (i.e. pros and cons of porcelain vs ceramic, the differences between types of natural stone, how to keep costs low and get what you want for your lifestyle) and take measurements to outline the dimensions and give an idea of labor costs. We do not have professional design software and are not general contractors, so we apologize for any mistaken conclusions the wording may have caused."
"Thank you very much. It was a pleasure working with you. We try to keep our customers informed throughout the project so that customers know what to expect in each stage. We're glad you are happy with the final result. Thanks for the review!"
"Thank you! It was a pleasure doing business with you and we're very pleased to hear you like the finished product."
"Thank you! The trim piece we found for the tile backsplash was a perfect match. It came out great, and we're happy to hear you are satisfied."
"It was a pleasure working with you and your wife. You guys made our job easy! The glass tile backsplash as a great accent to the beautiful granite countertops. We're very happy to hear that you and your wife enjoyed our service. Thank you."
"At Bay works tile we strive to provide excellent customer service and a job done right. Due to the unusual circumstances of the project and after several attempts to resolve the problems we deeply regret that we have been unable to satisfy our customer. We completed the job under the supervision of the contractor left in charge of the project, per our contract. Unfortunately, the customer had travelled to China during the duration of the project and was not present during the installation, which made it difficult to communicate since he was only able to offer feedback once he returned. The counter tops sat at our fabrication shop for three weeks without being able to install due to delays with the job site preparations by the contractor, the walls were out of level and he needed to have stucco on the walls prior to installing the granite. According to the contractor the stucco sub-contractors had other jobs and were unable to return to fix the walls. Our hands were tied and we were unable to proceed until the contractor allowed us to. As for the materials, the customer provided us with a cut sheet prior to leaving for which he wanted the stone to be cut. We were supposed to follow this sheet, but he had not accounted for the veining pattern in the slabs or the waste of materials from fabrication. We tried to follow his cut sheet as close as we could, except for one back splash in order to keep the vein pattern in the same direction as it turned the corner. The contractor in charge of the project confirmed the change and we proceeded to install/complete the BBQ kitchen installation as planned. The two slabs that he purchased were enough to complete the job. When the customer returned he was disappointed that we did not have extra materials to complete the change of splash as he wanted.. He felt that we had misplaced or sold his remnant materials to another customer. At no time did we sell his remnants because we don't use remnants from jobs until the job has been signed off, fully completed and the customer has released the materials. In addition, there was absolutely no materials left over to sell. We provided the customer with a detailed cut sheet of where in the slab we had cut each piece and confirmed that there was no materials remaining. Because we wanted to do all we could to make the customer happy, we offered the customer to share the cost of a new slab in order to install the back splash material as he wanted—out of our pocket. However, without having a chance to discuss the problem in detail any further, the customer removed the splash that he did not like and hired a second company to install the piece. We completed the project per our contract and have only received 50% of the amount due. We have reached out to this customer and have waived the balance of the job in order to off set his cost for the additional material and labor incurred. We regret that he has had a bad experience with his BBQ remodel and will continue to do everything in our power to keep our customers happy. We would love to be given the opportunity to make things right with our customer and move forward. Hector Garcia"
"We really liked the design you selected with the large tiles and enjoyed doing the job. Thank you!"
"Thank you! Although the work was very detailed, we were able to work through all the details and complete the job as requested. Both the kitchen and fireplace turned out great and we appreciate the positive review."
"Thank you for your wonderful comments. I had a great time working with you. I'm glad we were able to find a replacement material in time in order to complete your project and that everything turned out well."
