B&B Contracting

Alex was hired in May 2021 to complete general renovations. We have a signed contract that he failed to honor in a timely manner. Alex and/or his crew did not show up to complete the work as promised. Alex argued with both my husband and myself and was difficult to deal with-he tried to blame his issues on us. He has taken our money and failed to honor the contract. In November 2021, we requested an itemized listing of work done and the cost incurred. He has failed to provide that or respond to attempts to have monies paid in advance for materials returned. This review will be updated if/when Alex returns our money. Please do your due diligence when considering this contractor. We relied on the reputation of Angi when considering who to hire and this is the first time that we have been disappointed.

Alex Branch showed up to my home unannounced and introduced himself. I remember inquiring Alex Branch the owner of B&B contracting from your site. He simply did not call and showed up to my house to look at the project. I told him I would’ve like a call but it’s fine since he was on my front porch. He looked at the project and gave me a quote of $6400 not including tile or vanity. We hired his team that week to fix plumbing, as well remodel the entire bathroom. We paid the deposit fee of half owed. His team demo’ed the bathroom and fixed the plumbing issue, to my knowledge it’s fixed but we won’t know anything until we try it. The workers would come in the morning and stay anywhere from 30 minutes to a hour and then leave for the day. They did this for about 2 weeks until we finally called the owner since nothing was getting done and They all came over that day and put up the walls and while doing so they damaged our kitchen creating two giant holes through the wall that they said they would fix and never did. The same day they asked for the rest of the payment. We said we weren’t comfortable with paying it until it was done but he said he wouldn’t continue the work without the full payment so we paid him the full quote of $6400. The next day, he never came back. Every time we contacted him, he said he come that next day but never showed up. This went on for weeks. We decided to confront him face to face why he kept lying about coming back to finish the job, and his office was completely cleaned put and the owners of the building said they hadn’t spoken to him in weeks but they were told that our bathroom remodel was completely finished by Alex Branch B&b contracting, which obviously was a lie. Not only did he take all of our money and run but the work that was done by him and his team was completely incorrect according to several other contractors and everything had to be taken down and redone which we had to pay for it being taken down. We’re out thousands of dollars because you’re site didn’t provide us with a trustworthy contractor. Do you do background checks? Because apparently he lied about being licensed as well. I’m furious and we have been talking to a lawyer about everything to see if There is any way we can get our money back.

B&B contracting gave me a quote on August 2,2021 and said the job would be completed in 3 days. They would start right away on the remodeling kitchen/living room combo and new Attic. He was given a $1000 deposit. It was been 9 weeks and the only thing that has been done is half the trim work which took 6 weeks to start. Several excuses were given when I contacted him which was most of the time. He also expected me to know what materials to purchase along with sizes and amount.

I had my kitchen floor repaired and also portions of the building on the outside. He was very professional and completed an excellent job.

The entire team was friendly and helpful. I’m very pleased with the work. They remodeled our bedroom and master bathroom. Quality work and service. Would definitely recommend!
