Tim's crew did a great job completing the work on-time and quality workmanship. Charlie was especially helpful with providing information regarding my home, he's very knowledgeable on a variety of topics. I'm a little late getting my review out here the work was completed in February 2018, but I would definitely use this contracting company again.

Tim, Charlie, and their associates did a terrific job. Very impressive communications and follow-up. Excellent coordination with the county regarding permits and inspections. I really appreciated the time they took to explain what they were doing and the "why's" behind it. I will definitely work with them in the future.

I feel the job went very well. It took a little extra time because of all the different jobs that had to be performed. Example the dry wall that had to be replaced was unexpected. Windows had to be ordered and waited for them to come in and be installed. But those are all things that go with a remodeling job. Tim always kept myself and my tenants informed as to what had to be done next and what day and time they would be there. Tim and his crew did a very good job. I grew up in Affton most of my life and was excited to find a local contractor.

Tim, Charlie and Steven worked well as a team and did a beautiful job on the new bathroom. Everything was professionally installed and crafted. There was no need for a punch list because it was done right the first time. This is one of the best general contractors I have ever worked with.

Tim was there to look at the job the day after I called and submitted a very detailed bid within a day. Work began almost immediately and was finished in good time. Any calls to Tim were immediately picked up or returned in a timely manner.

The porch and deck are beautiful and functioning exactly how they should. At our initial meeting, Keith was so obviously knowledgeable and gave reassuring answers to all questions and concerns. He made specific recommendations for the products used (different for porch and deck) and I think they're perfect. His attention to detail regarding structure--and all aspects--continually impressed me and gave me a lot of confidence in both his knowledge and skills. Every day I admire Keith's work and feel so much safer because of his redesign of the stairs and transition to deck.

From the first time I contacted this company, until the completion of the job, they were very responsive to calls and texts. We felt comfortable with Tim and Charlie and felt they were very knowledgeable about the work we wanted to be done. I had concerns about our mantle, because it had sentimental value, and they told me they understood and would be very careful. Once the work began, they were always on time, professional, friendly and would totally clean up at the end of each day. We love our fireplace now!! We will definitely hire BB Contracting with any upcoming remodeling projects!

Everything was great. Instead of starting the kitchen right away, they waited until all the pieces were in stock and then started. The whole project went very quickly and they cleaned up every day when they were finished. The quality and attention to detail was perfect. We had many questions and they always responded to us quickly and professionally. The project manager, the workers and the whole team, including Tim Becker, the owner were great to work with. I would highly recommend them. My husband and I already have a list of future projects for them to do for us. We couldn't be happier!

The project seemed simple at first glance, but it involved much planning on Tim's part. The doors had to be purchased and painted at Tim's shop; the old doors had to be taken down and trashed; the new doors were then installed. Tim's crew went the extra mile to caulk the top of the base boards, then painted the caulk because it would eventually yellow. Their attention to the details was fantastic! John, Charlie, and Bean went out of their way to make me happy. I very much appreciated their prompt arrival each morning, and the clean up every afternoon. I never came home to a construction-zone mess. It was easy to communicate with Tim, and I know he takes a lot of pride in his work. I will definitely use Tim on my future projects. You will get amazing quality at a reasonable cost. My dated house now feels like a comfortable home...Thank you!!

I have only been in my home a short time and was told by my home inspector at the time of purchase that the carport posts should be replaced at some point. Being the pro-active person I am, I had a retired construction friend come by to check things out and do the work for me if it wasn't too involved. Long-story-short, he found that not only were the three posts rotted but one of the short beams and part of the long beam were also rotted. He immediately put up some braces since he was worried the whole thing might fall down, and advised that I hire someone with insurance to do the work. I checked out Angieslist and found BB Contracting and Remodeling. They have glowing reviews that made me feel comfortable about hiring them. I have limited funds and could not afford a do-over if I chose someone who did poor workmanship. I gave Tim a call and left a message. He called me back within 24hrs and sent me a bid within a couple days. After reviewing the bid, I realized we had a miscommunication about the scope of the project, contacted Tim, and he got me a revised contract within a day or two. Work started a few days later, and was complete within about a week and a half---and it rained about half that time! It would have been done even more quickly but they had to bust out the old piers and pour new 30 inch piers to meet current codes. They took care of the permits from St Louis County, cleaned up after themselves and even came out on a Sunday morning to pick up the last pile of dirt as it was supposed to rain (and did). I am a "questions" person, which I would imagine can be exasperating for contractors, but Tim was cheerful and patient with me and answered all of my questions. I was satisfied with the cost ($6,000) as there was a lot of work involved and they got it done quickly, professionally, and to the highest standard. They even put my hummingbird feeder up each day when they were finished! (That was probably out of self-preservation LOL. Those little critters can be really pesky when you mess with their feeders!) All-in-all VERY pleased with this company and highly recommend them. I have several other projects for the future and will definitely use BB Contracting and Remodeling.

They kept us abreast of the status of the project, were detailed, and made sure to give us all the info needed at major decision points. They also kept the project area (living room, kitchen, dining room) relatively dust free, and made sure to clean up after themselves everyday. Tim was super accessible for a visit at my home to determine a reasonable (as compared to others) quote. He was open to what my needs were and expressed his concerns as well. His friendly approach and demeanor towards the scope of work eased my worries. <br /> Charlie and John were very prompt during the repairs. They showed up on time and were diligent about containing dust and debris from the construction. These two men even looked at a window I had concerns with. This window was not a part of the bid I had received from Tim. Their inspection recommendation led me back to the original installers instead of charging me for unexpected labor costs. <br /> These professionals are a tribute to their trades. All my questions were answered and my expectations exceeded. I would highly recommend Tim and his crews for any needed construction. The architectural design, building and renovation went even better than we had hoped for. This contractor, employees and sub contractors are outstanding !! They are honest and easy to deal with. There were no major obstacles.The quality of workmanship is truly exceptional. All was crafted to maintain the integrity of the original 101 year old design. In the renovation you cannot tell the original woodwork and overall style from what is new. I'm sure our home will last another 101 years due to the TLC provided by BB Contracting and their associates. For a really great experience, you can't beat these guys !! (PS they clean up after themselves <br /> every day) <br />

This company is excellent. The work performed was great. They showed up on time and completed everything in a timely manner. Extremely polite and knowledgeable staff to ask questions. When they finished the framing, they cleaned up all the mess and were extremely helpful. I was able to get pointers and suggestions as we progress through this basement remodel. I would highly recommend this company again and again. Tim the owner is extremely responsive to all emails and questions about the process. <br />

Removed non-masonry chimney which was no longer being used. Repaired the resulting hole in roof. Work was done quickly and professionally. Shingles on roof repair matched perfectly as did the flashing between the roof on the addition (where the chimney was located) and the main structure. Debris was removed and everything was cleaned up. The entire job was done within a day. Several people worked on the project at various times and all were courteous and professional. Would not hesitate to recommend BB Contracting to any of my family or friends. <br /> <br />

We hired BB to install new kitchen cabinets as part of a complete 1st floor remodel. I had had several other contractors bid the job but never got a good feeling about their work when they would come out to bid the job. When Charlie came to bid the job I was immediately comfortable with his plan for installing the cabinets. To make a long story short we were all set to start the install of the cabinets but when they were delivered the driver dropped the first one they unloaded and after inspecting them found several cabinets and doors had finish issues. It took almost 2 months and 3 re-orders to get cabinets that were acceptable. Durning this time Tim made several calls to his rep at the retailer to try to get the problem resolved even though he had nothing to do with the ordering of the cabinets. I was so impressed with their customer service that we had them install several interior doors and all new baseboards while we waited for the cabinets. When we finally got the cabinets in we were way behind schedule, trying to have everything finished for our boy's High School Graduation party. BB worked with us to get the cabinets installed with in our schedule and we were able to get everything done before the party. <br />

<p>Terrific, one worker was assigned to the job. She was prompt, professional and knowledgeable. The work took a day and a half. She showed up on time each day, cleaned up before leaving and importantly, contacted me whenever she had questions which I significantly appreciated. The cost was approximately half of what another contractor had estimated for the same work. </p> <p>I also appreciated the fact that the entire project, from first calling Tim out to get an estimate, to the finish took less than a month. </p> <br />

I made the mistake of signing a contract with another company (Hungry <br /> Carpenter) that did not specify that the work would be done up to code. <br /> The result had major problems which caused it to fail inspection. Tim was <br /> professional and competent, and did exactly what he said he was going to <br /> do. So glad the deck finally passed inspection! <br />
