Honestly, the sales process was terrible. Nothing is automated via spreadsheets, email is dial up (and only accessible from home), changes are the same pages with white out and rewritten figures. I don't have a real high degree of confidence in their communication, and at times our salesperson got snippy (when we were trying to figure out our choices and budget) and said that "I should be charging you a consulting fee for my design time". HUH? Not professional in my opinion. But WOW, their work is amazing. If you can get past the sales cycle, it is well worth it. Kerry, the guy who does the tile work, is funny, engaging, and the quality of his work is excellent. He's always on time, always protects your house from debris (the best that you can with all that dust) by laying down plastic in the traffic areas, and is always willing to talk about what is happening. I swore after this sales cycle I'd never hire them again, but when my wife and I look at our bathroom, we love it!

Technically, this was a difficult job tile and marble wise and in this aspect of the job, their work was good to very good.

Kerry was extremely enthusiastic about his product and of course his company's ability to get this fairly large job done. He delivered as he promised on materials, time frame and quality. Beaverton Tile Works did what the said they were going to do, when they were going to do it and consulted me every step of the way. They had some unique ideas which I never would have been able to come up with myself. They were here early and rearing to go every day and finished ahead of schedule. I never have felt as if they would leave me in a bind and have since the job asked them to come back for another project.

Polly quickly responded to my inquiry and gave me an estimate while trying to accommodate my need for a speedy turnaround. It took a little longer than hoped for to get scheduled. Due to the 25% required deposit by mail but it was well worth the wait. We prepped the rooms by removing all fixtures and covering floors with hard board. They leveled the floors fixed some home owner flaws, layed the tile and grouted within the estimated time. The tile looks great. It's straight, level, and I'm glad I spent the extra money. And didn't just attempt to throw it in myself. I would use them again and probably will.

Start to finish, the entire experience with BTW was a dream! Not only were both Kerry and Polly extremely helpful, but the work they performed was flawless. Because we work primarily with the senior community, safety was as important to us as appearance. Kerry brought out several no-slip and rough surface samples that coordinated with our terra cotta color scheme. Kerry was also very helpful with the creative aspect of our job by recommending backsplash patterns and he designed a very beautiful custom floor-mat style entry. Kerry is so knowledgeable of his field and was able to make many recommendations. The job was finished beautifully and we continually get MANY compliments on the appearance of our office. People have said it is one of the most beautiful offices they have visited. I attribute much of the credit of those compliments to BTW and the very spectacular work they performed.

BTW was very responsive during the bid process. We got our quote and lead time quicker than any other contractor. Our design was somewhat unconventional; small hex tiles for entire floor (including shower). The work was kind of "start and stop." This was partially due to the availability of the glass blocks that we chose late in the process, but there were also some delays due to some tile that should have been ordered from the start based on our original design. As a result, the project took a little longer than what was originally reported. The work crew was a little messier than we would have liked: we had some residue on the driveway and on some exterior plants, we also had sand and grit on our hardwood floors throughout the project. The quality of the work was good. We are very happy the final results. We had to have Kerry come back on two occasions to correct some issues. But he was generally very responsive. I would definitely use BTW again.

We had a difficult situation where we suddenly needed to have the job done pretty much immediately. Polly of Beaverton Tile went way out of her way to make it work for us. She arranged for her people to do the job on weekends and after hours to fit into the schedule we needed, even though the job was additionally complicated by her employee's family emergencies and by last-minute changes on our side. She helped us work out problems that came up during the job. The tile looks beautiful. It doesn't quite line up straight with the wall in the kitchen. I suspect that may be partly because the house is old and doesn't line up straight anyway.

What started out very well, turned out to be very stressful working with Kerry. When he did the work, he was very hurried. In some cases caused damage to our cabinets, and the front door. He denied it, or suggested it was a different sub. However, that was not possible. The employees he had working for him were of a bit higher quality. Kerry pushed them to work too fast and they quit during our job. We had some problems with the tile and grout and Kerry did come to fix that. But we are still having problems. He was rude to other workers in our home as well. Although the tile we chose looks great, I can see many problems with grout, scratches on our new cabinetry, and some unevenness in the layout.

Mike did the actual work on our project, and we found him to be very professional and very proficient. Kerry had led us to believe that he would be doing much of the work himself, but he did little. He did accompany his carpenter to install the decking, and we got a poor deck that had to be largely redone. It took Mike an extra day or two to fix it. Then Kerry had a toothache, went out of town, etc, and the job went many days behind schedule. We were not concerned, as the job was in a vacant rental, and no one was relying on that kitchen. One friday afternoon, Kerry and Polly called me and said they were coming by my house in minutes to pick up a check. I asked if they had finished the job, as I had not inspected or approved it, and informed them my husband was out of the country and they could get a check after ins.when he returned on Tuesday. They went ballistic and started to threaten and insult me. SCAREY. Mike fixed some problems and was promtly paid. NOT a rehire.

KERRY DID A GREAT JOB ON MY COUNTERTOPS. HE SHARED HIS ARTISTIC IDEAS FOR STYLE AND THEY TURNED OUT GREAT. HE WAS VERY CONSCIENTIOUS ABOUT SQUEEZING ME IN HIS BUSY SCHEDULE AND ALSO MAKING SURE THE JOB WAS DONE IN TIME TO SHOW OFF FOR MY COMPANY. HE HELPED SOLVE UNFORESEEN CONSTRUCTION PROBLEMS THAT CAME UP.
