"I met [Member Name Removed] in late March 2016 only because she had purchased a $999 annual landscaping BIG DEAL package from another service provider, whom she had an issue with his personality and his professionalism. My Big Deal Rep was also the rep for the same service provider that she had an issue with, so my rep asked me to meet with her to save the sale. Ms. [Member Name Removed] had an problem with her long time landscaper of a several years and was looking to go in another direction. She wanted lawn service ONLY for the months of April thru October on bi-weekly basis (which is 14 total visits) and she wanted to pay $35 a visit ($490) for that time period. I asked why would she buy a deal for $999 that was for 24 visits during a calendar year. I told her that as long as the deal was active that she had to make a decision to ask for a refund from the previous Angie's List provider whom she had an issue with before. If she wanted to substitute me in for him the terms would not change or extend beyond the calendar year ( so she would be paying for 10 more visits that she didn't need and $509 more dollars). [Member Name Removed] said that she had influence in her Cul de Sac and 3 other next door neighbors, whom had all used the same landscaper with [Member Name Removed] would probably join in with her if she decided to use Before and After Lawn Solutions, LLC. I serviced [Member Name Removed] s home 5 times ($175) and her next door neighbor (5 times) and the neighbor next to her next door neighbor (2 times ($70) and her neighbor that she ([Member Name Removed]) indicated fired me (8 times ($280). [Member Name Removed] insisted to give me a check ( $170) on the same day that her neighbor whom we serviced twice made a change and give me a check for $40 which I never cashed because of 2 reasons: a. the amount was wrong and b. company policy on not taking money if the customer is unhappy. I did not invoice [Member Name Removed] for work done to that point or the next 3 visits because she had recommended me to 4 homeowners in her neighborhood. I offer a free visit if the referral becomes a client, which is not a single transaction (customer). I am not refunding or writing off the money that [Member Name Removed] insisted on giving to me that day because she has no respect for service providers, her referrals never became clients, I did the work in her yard without any performance complaints and the money was earmarked for bags of mulch which she never would confirm that she wanted me to install, and the fact that she tried to blackmail me with a story that I went behind Angie's List back and cut a side deal. I told her in no uncertain terms that was a bold face lie and did not make financial sense that I would work for $490 over time when I had $699.30 coming in a lump sum. The conversation got heated because I told her I had planned to refund the money but her text said to take out what I felt she owed me less her "referral" credits. Have copies of her check that was and is $170 not $179 and pictures of her yard and all texts and emails asking me to do hardscpaing and erosion prevention but NOT one text or email on the quaility of service performed. SHE CHANGED HER LIE TO A MORE IMAGE DAMAGING ONE BUT THAT HER RIGHT.."
