Belcher's Asphalt

This was absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life and this is not an exaggeration. Also, yes, the “after pic” is still what my property looks like after THEY ABANDONED THE JOB! In mid-August of 2020, I requested quotes on Angie’s list and he showed up in a nice, new logo’d truck and gave me a written quote. Learn from my lesson, do not be fooled by his first impression! This was on Thursday August 20th and I agreed to his price on the spot. When I asked when he can get this done, he told me he could get out to me either Monday or most likely Tuesday because his company is working on a larger job and might not be done until Monday afternoon. He was a no show on Monday and Tuesday. I called on Wednesday and no answer. Left voicemail and never got a call back. This should have been my first hint to avoid this “company” at all costs, but I called again. Finally got a hold of him days later to find out that the “big job” was taking longer and that he will be out to my house next week. Next week comes and still a no show. After calling for another 3 days, I finally get him on the phone and am told that his truck broke down and he will not know what is wrong with it for a couple more days :/ I call next week for multiple days until I get him on the phone and ask what is going on with the truck and am told he thinks they will have it fixed next week. So, I wait another week and call.. no answer… so I keep calling and finally get him on the phone and am told that he will come the following week. Surprise, surprise… no show. This goes on and on for weeks and weeks and finally he actually shows up on October 22nd! Two months late… fine… it is what it is… he and 2 other guys are here now and will get the job done. Come to my surprise, they want to dig it by hand (to save money for themselves so they do not have to rent an excavator). Fine, as long as it gets done properly, I don’t care. They dig by hand for hours on Thursday 10/22/20. I felt bad asking but when they were “done”, I ask if they think they dug deep enough because they had quoted me for 3” of crushed gravel base, and then 3” of asphalt for my driveway… yet, they only dug 2.5” down. They said they will come back tomorrow 10/23 and finish the digging. Oh my gosh, they actually flippin showed up! They worked for about 15 mins and then came to the door and said ya, they won’t be able to dig deep enough by hand and will just rent the excavator and be back on Monday 10/26. Surprise, surprise… no show on Monday… and not returning my calls. I literally call them every single day and leave a voicemail and get no response from them. Finally, the next week, he picks up and tells me that their truck is broken down and will not know what is wrong with it for a couple days. I tell him that they already used this excuse on me, and he insists that it is broken down and will call me back in a couple days once they get it working again. Obviously, no call, so I call every single day again, leaving voicemails for another week… no answer or return calls. And here we are. It is now November 16th, 2020 and my yard is still torn up and they are nowhere to be found. They will not return calls nor answer the phone. I am now preparing to take them to small claims court for property damage as I have them on security cam footage. Stay far, far away from this company. The 2 month wait… sure, I can get past that. The relentless follow up by me to get the run around… ugggg, I can get past that. What I cannot get past is them coming to my property, digging up my land and then disappearing. To leave my land destroyed with follow up or care, really shows the true character of this fake business. I find it ironic that on his business card, he has written Philippians 4:13… because he can clearly not do all things… especially honor his word, his written estimates, or even use an index finger to tap a screen to return a call. Absolutely dishonorable.

Easy and on time

They did a nice job they were very hardworking they responded to my call and initial request.They came quickly and they explained all their plans and they make me feel comfortable.The finish work looks great and I already recommend them to a couple of friends.

It went pretty good. He did raise the price but I could see the value in the product. He explained to me why I needed to do the work. When I called to schedule the work he answered right away and go right to work. He was willing to answer questions if I had any.

They did a very good job for me.

It was awesome, it's beautiful, and I got a comment on it. I have never had a spray application before and will definitely use spray from now.
