<p>Very badly, this provider doesn't understand the meaning of professionalism.  All of the physical work was performed by Hispanics, who did good work, however, the pavers created a drainage issue that I have been trying to get resolved for over two months.  The problem was so bad that I physically dug a trench myself around the pavers to help with the drainage.  Joe, the owner, committed to correcting the problem that unchecked can cause damage to my foundation.  Bottom line, there are a lot of reputable landscapers out there, this is not one of them.</p> <br />

I was pleased with quality and price.  the lead-time was long but I knew that up front.  I will use them again. <br />

It took a long time to have the initial meeting because he kept canceling at the last minute. He finally sent someone out to do the work in March. I was at work when his employees did the work. When I got home I contacted him to let him know that his employees did a horrible job. They did not cover the weed block as the owner stated he would. They left a pile of dead plants on the edge of my lawn. There was pine straw and pulled weeds on my driveway, walkway and street. He did come back the next day and tidy up and spread more straw. <br />I don't believe we received anything near the value the " deal" offered. I didn't even feel that we received our $900 dollars worth of work. <br />

Initially had some difficulty in getting people here because of family emetgency.  Took a little longer than I was told.  Had difficulty in communicating with the owner.  Does not answer phone but will respond to some emails.  Have asked for an additional quote on another project but have not heard back. <br />

We finally met and discussed the project.  He made some excellent suggestions as to how he could utilize the bricks to enhance the existing deck in my back yard. I was excited just listening to him. He promised to provide me with a written proposal. I waited for him to send me those suggestions. I did not hear from him for several months.    Out of frustration, I contacted Angie?s List for their help.  Within a week, Joe sent me this e-mail:  <br /> JANUARY 19, JOE WROTE:   Hello, I deeply apologize for my lack of attention to your project. I have been consumed by multiple illness in our family. My wife was emitted in to the hospital three times in the last two months and her mother we found out had to have an 11 pound cancer tumor removed last month As this is not an reason to neglect you and I understand everyone is dealing with something in their lives I must admit it has had me very distracted. I have attached the proposal I tried to send. I am willing to add additional discounts to try to make up for my short fall. Please let me know how I can make this right with you. Thanks, Bellascapes   On March 23rd I purchased another Big Deal from Angie?s List.  I did not realize that Bellascapes was the vendor until after the purchase had been made.  I sent Joe an e-mail alerting him about the purchase I had just made and indicated that when he came in April 30t, we would discuss how to go forward.   On April 30th Joe arrived at my home with two men, who worked for 2 days before running out of bricks. We also got a chance to discuss the most recent Big Deal I had purchased from Angie.  He sent me a proposal, but after thinking about it and what I was currently going through, I just wanted him to complete the work he had already started.   That was the last time I heard from Bellascapes.  They not only did not finish the job, my patio was left in a shamble.  Furniture and statues all stacked up.  I cannot entertain or use my patio in the condition it was left.  Broken bricks and sand left piled in the middle of the driveway.  I had to finally hire a couple of handy men to come and clean up the driveway so that I could pull my cars in.   My time is spent talking with representatives at Angie?s List who cannot answer one question, ?how do I get my money back? And, why do Angie still have Bellascapes on their website after they have received reviews like this one and others I see posted on their website. ? Angie is a co-conspirator and is as guilty as the Bellascapes who has been allowed to remain on their site.  I trusted Angie?s List that is one of the reasons why and how I ended up not only buying one Big Deal from but also two. This Big Deal turned into one Big MESS!

Please read my entire review! I was apprehensive about ordering the deal since I had read so many negative reviews on communication from the company. It was a good deal, so I decided to do it anyways. At first, I was displeased when I was never contacted after purchasing the deal but spoke with the owner and met with him a few weeks later. We scheduled the work for the end of March, but as you can see from my date of service, it didn't happen for quite some time. There was a point where I planned to dispute the charge with my credit card. I was unable to get ahold of the company and timeline was weeks past where I was initially scheduled. Angies List was unwilling to refund my money more than 30 days after my purchase, so I was actually on hold with my credit card company to dispute the charge when the Bellascapes owner called and put my mind at ease. I am happy to report, Bellascapes came through, big time. The owner hired a Project Manager which helped significantly with communication and scheduling. Once they had my project on the schedule, they finished it quickly and did an incredible job. I am thrilled with the end result. I was not happy with the issues I had initially, however being a small business owner, I understand the work that goes into managing every aspect of a company and gave a little more leeway than I typically would. In the end, I am happy I did.

Joe worked with us to determine position, color, and design.  Patio was installed in a day <br />

Installed a new front walkway for our house - approximately 4' wide x 35' long, with several curves. Other than a delay in the start date due to weather and other factors, everything went very well. The quality of the materials and installation is high, the workers were very polite and very professional, and the walk is a beautiful addition to our home. They made a lot of effort to do things right the first time, and it shows. Highly recommended. The work took a day - they started around 8:30 in the morning and were done by 5:30 that evening. <br />

I had a image in my mind of what I wanted, but never dreamed it would be this beautiful. Joe did a fantastic job. His imagination and creativity are spectacular. I can't say enough good about him or this company. He came in and worked even in the rain. I had several others tell me what I wanted couldn't be done. Joe never blocked an eye. His professionalism showed throughout the job. <br />

I bought the Big Deal from Angie's List on February 22, 2015.  Mr. Scharko, the owner, did not contact me, so I contacted him and we set up an appointment to come out for measurement on March 13, 2015.  He stated that he had a lot of responses from the Big Deal and we had to schedule the work to be done on April 15, 2015.  Unfortunately it was raining that day and of course, the concrete could not be poured.  However, I tried to contact Mr. Scharko by phone, the day before to see if we were still on schedule and to see if we could reschedule.  Unfortunately, I could not reach him in order to leave a message, but his voice mail was full.  The next day, I tried calling him again several times, and his voice mail continued to be full.  So I emailed him and then text him, but there still was not a respond. I then I contacted Alyshia Smalley in customer service, at Angie's List and voiced my concern with Mr.Scharko of Bellascapes and requested her assistance in locating Mr. Scharko. He finally contacted me on April 17, 2015 and he stated that his wife had been ill and in the hospital and his foreman should have contacted me to reschedule because of the rain delay.  I accepted his apology and his helper, Mr. Charles Blaha and his son came out on Monday, April 20th to form the walkway.  They came out on Wednesday, April 22, to pour the walkway. I am very happy with the result and Mr. Blaha and his son, Kyle did an excellent job, however, I have not and did not hear anything else from Mr. Scharko.  He did not call nor come by to see if the work was performed to my satisfaction and if it was done correctly.  I did inquire of his whereabouts with Mr. Blaha and he stated that Mr. Scharko was on vacation in Florida.  As of today, I have not heard from him. <br />

We set up an appointment and it was missed, I called to complain and he was very apologetic and rescheduled for the following Thursday.    The second was also missed I have decided to request a refund from Angie’s List.  He never called on either appointment to give a reason for missing the appointment.

We took advantage of a coupon and added additional drainage, landscaping removal and additional pavers. Joe and his guys were awesome.  The project commenced in the midst of a winter storm but despite bad weather, Joe and his guys powered through. <br /> <br /> The final product is fantastic.  Even though spring hasn't fully sprung we're getting plenty of usage out of the patio.  All of the recent rain has really put the new drainage to the test.  After this much rain, the yard should be a swamp but it's the most dry I've seen it.  We couldn't be more satisfied and already thinking about additional work. Looking forward to working Bellscapes again in the future.

They did fine.  The work was done professionally and as promised.
