Plumber arrived early during the timeframe promised. I appreciated that the dispatcher called me to confirm that I was there since this was for a vacation home and not my primary residence - I had a problem recently with an HVAC company who failed to do this and never did the work as a result, but that's beside the point. He gave me an estimate pretty quickly and did not try to pressure me into accepting it even though the old water heater was leaking and had to go. I was rather shocked at the cost as I was expecting the costs to be about half what I actually paid, however, the plumber did have to request an assistant (because my condo is on the third floor and they couldn't drain the old water heater completely) and it did take them about 6 hours, including their lunch break, to get the old unit out and install & test the new one. They raised the new water heater up off the floor on wooden blocks after noticing the drain pipe connected to my old drip pan wasn't pitched correctly - I appreciated that they did this without my asking. I'm no expert on plumbing, but it looks like they didn't cut any corners as far as the connections go. Ben Franklin Plumbing offers a service plan which gives you 15% off, and they'll apply it to your first service call which is what they did for me here. They also honored their Angie's List coupon on top of this which shaved some more money off the total. Another plus is that they do give you some options as far as warranty so you can either opt for a lower-cost shorter-warranty solution or a higher-cost longer-warranty solution. Given my past experience with Bradford-White products, I went with the shorter warranty.

No work was done. He inspected everything then told me that they don't in his words " rebuild faucets " told me Delta had this problem and that I should replace the whole thing. Which he said could be $500.00 for the kitchen faucet. He gave me an estimate of around $1500.00 for everything.

Excellent response, professional job, very fortepiano and meticulous to details. They even reseeded the lawn after digging up and replacing the pipes. Left the interior of the house spotless as well!

The Plumber came on time and was extremely professional and caring for my dilemma. He saw my problems, organized support from the company supply room staff for equipment and had it delivered and replaced and functional within hours. I was impressed with the services.

Upside: Technician arrived to provide quote in timely fashion. Quality of work was excellent. Was timely in getting it done and determined to get job done in timeframe quoted. Flexible when unforeseen issues arose. Recommended good contractors to cover aspects of the job out of their scope of service. <br /> Downside: Shady finance company. Not contractors fault, but devil is in the details with the outside company they use. Get your own if possible and needed. <br />

Although this review is somewhat dated I wanted to report that following Super-storm Sandy we were without heat and hot water for an extended period of time. We contacted Stanley Swan, the proprietor of Ben Franklin Plumbing, and he responded immediately. He maintained constant contact on the status of the equipment he ordered to replace our flood damaged boiler and hot water heater and made expert recommendations on how to re-mediate future flood damage. He put us in contact with a local carpenter who raised our utility room floor from sub level to first floor level and his professional staff installed the equipment in a very prompt, efficient and clean manner. He also removed all of the flood damaged equipment after the insurance adjuster inspected it.. For expert, professional, and courteous service I would highly recommend Stanley Swan and Ben Franklin Plumbing of Pleasantville NJ. <br />

Excellent work and very quick response.  Great advise on upgrading on the size and brand, plenty of heat and hot water now.  I think the price was a little high but they got the job done the day before Thanksgiving, they worked until late at night. <br />

They were very professional and responsive. I don't remember charges.  I would definitely call them in the future.
