Bennett Painting was hired to paint the interior of our condo. The collected their payment, but never finished the job. The areas they did paint have drips or are too thin to cover the previous color. They never prepped or sanded the walls. They left rooms, closets, and ceilings completely unpainted. They also left behind a ton of damage: a broken floor lamp, paint splatters on a brick floor, paint smudges and drips on the brick fireplace, and more. They complained the entire time they worked and have a million excuses. The situation is so bad, we have filed a complaint with the state and will take them to court.

Issue with originally scheduled service date--provider did not show up or contact me. I contacted them and they scheduled a new service date. Work went well on new date--person doing the work was efficient and did a thorough job. There was some confusion on the service to be provided, which was resolved to my satisfaction based on the language in the purchased offer after the onsite provider called the owner. I was very satisfied with the work performed. <br />

<p>Bennett Painting Plus was contracted to paint two rooms in our house. The job was supposed to include ?professional grade prepping, taping of interior surfaces, drywall repair of small holes, spot priming, and two coats of paint in each room.?</p> <p><br /></p> <p>They did NOT deliver. The quality of the job was poor. And, to make things worse, they promised to fix their work, but never showed up for the appointment.</p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <p>Here are some of the issues we had:</p> <ul> <li>1. The previous paint coat shows through in many places</li> </ul> <p>2. There are brush strokes visible on a number of walls and the paint generally does not appear to have been applied uniformly</p> <p>3. There is debris dried in the paint in some places, leaving some lumps / bumps in the paint on the wall</p> <p>4. The trim on the doors and windows was not protected well / taped properly, since there is paint on the wood in a lot of places</p> <p>5. There are visible indents because holes that should have been spackled were just painted over</p> <p>6. The painters did not clean up well. There were wads of tape left on the floor, papers left around the house, and sanding dust / paint debris on the floors of the rooms that were painted</p> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <p> <br /> <br /></p> <br />

"# 1 The paint on the wood trim was already there, #2 we left the tape there to show them, when they got home ,that we indeed tape off surfaces ,that are not receiving paint , it was not that ,we where to lazy to clean it up. they where not going to be home by the time the job was finished, so wanted to leave proof. as for paint coming through, we offered to come back and do touch ups. where only human, some times things get missed. it would be easier to just make a call out to us , than run to a computer to trash us. please before making a judgement call on our services , please read all other reports. 90% approval 350 reports. It worked out okay. They were okay. It was like going to be 3 hours for the painting and plastering. They were finished in 2 hours. They came to do that job and that was it. The pricing was very good. Their punctuality was good.

<p>Great work, if you don't mind a hassle. </p> <p>We got a 'deal of the day' to paint a certain amount of sf up to three rooms (I believe). When they got to the house, I feel that the initial discussion was unpleasant and I feel that I got treated less then professionally. We did have a disagreement - We asked if they could paint two rooms and a back hall. They said that the hall would not be included for some reason (I forget exactly) and we expressed our frustration because the entire job was much less than the total sf in the deal. (We have a tiny house). They did not dispute the sf but asserted that the hallway was not part of the deal. They were only willing to paint the two rooms. Then they offered to do the hallway at an additional charge. We said no thank you because we just didn't have the money. We left for work and when I got home, the two rooms AND the hallway were painted and they looked great. While that did make my day, the interaction with them earlier in the day was beyond what I am comfortable with. I felt manipulated and I felt like they were behaving in an unprofessional manner (despite possibly being right). That may sound ungrateful. They did end up doing the entire job. But at the end of the day, I bought into Angie's List so that I wouldn't have to deal with stuff like that. It was unpleasant and I would not hire then ever again. </p> <br />

"the coupon is for 3 rooms up to 750 sq.feet. wall space , on occasion we have clients mix up wall space to floor space. to a painter a floor is just another wall. this was explained , we are always nice to our clients , member says, they like our job , but yet are still not happy. where this hassle is .i don't understand. what do we gain by giving clients hassles ? i gave this member 60% off. well i'm glad she liked the job. "Thank you very much for your report, i would just like to say, there was no paint spills , that was a bottle of water that was dropped, because of humidity ,just took a little more time to dry. any other mishaps , wish we where called back to address . we did such a good job, got an A report , C for clean up, this is out of the ordinary for us, our jobs usually are cleaner when we leave than when we got there. It was okay. I asked them to get back to me because I have a room to get done, but they never called me back, but the service they provided was good. I don't think I'm going to use them again because they never got back to me.
