It was a nightmare. Ben gave me 4 dates to do the work, but never showed or called. He had an excuse for all no shows & said he forgot to call ea. time. Finally set 3/12 to do work. He & helper came at 8:45. He says he forgot the countertops & they were in a neighbor's garage. Ben left helper to start the work. Helper was finished in 2 hrs. and stood around doing nothing til Ben returned at 2:30 (5 hrs later). Ben said he had to drive to KY for key. I called him that night to find out the time he would be here on 13th to finish job. He said 10:00. He came at 12:30. Had another excuse why he was late. Said he'd finish the job that day. I looked at the new counter top and instead of getting the finished edges I requested, he bought sheets of formica, cut it in strips and glued them to the counter top edges. It looked terrible. Told Ben it looked awful and that he was done. I have no kitchen plumbing & am out the money I gave him to buy the materials. No one should go thru what he put me thru for those 3 weeks.

DO NOT HIRE. I repeat, DO NOT HIRE. My husband and I learned a terrible lesson from hiring this company and unfortunately, we paid the price. I would like to stop future people from experiencing the same as we did. More details below to follow: First off, I am not sure how this company has 6 other reviews that were all rated ‘A’ because those were what I used to proceed with hiring this company. However, those reviews couldn’t be farther from the truth. I rate this company ‘F’ across the board. Ben there Done that is a complete joke. Honestly, I could write a book about how many things went wrong. The company is unprofessional and the work that was completed was not don’t correctly. My husband and I had to purchase additional materials for them to use since they ruined ours due to their mistakes. At the end of the day, it seems this company does not have experience with handy work such as drywall, tile, grout work or plumbing. When Ben connected our plumbing there was a HUGE leak and it went everywhere (which he DID NOT CLEAN UP). When the tile was inserted, it was not attached correctly and therefore the grout cracked and needed replaced (his coworker placed the same tile down TWO TIMES and it still did not stick to our floor and the grout cracked resulting in wasted materials for my husband and I). They never used spacers with the tile work and therefore when they left for the day my husband and I would have to go behind them and finish the work professionally, so it was done right. They never placed anything down on our carpet to prevent it from getting dirty and NEVER cleaned up their work area at the end of the day. I had to place down my OWN towels on our stair carpet (the bathroom is upstairs in the middle hallway) and thank goodness I did because they were covered in mud from their shoes! A project that they quoted us would take a weekend to complete took over 2 weeks and STILL DID NOT GET COMPLETED. We wasted so much money on this company because Ben required 50% down. Unfortunately, due to unprofessionalism on the job we had to let this company go. They didn’t bring their own tools to use and ended up walking into our garage and just taking some of ours to use without asking. They even at one point opened our garage door without asking! Without only 50% of the work completed on the project, Ben demanded for the rest of his pay. Told us since he worked with our quoted price by lowering it, we could help him out and pay him the rest of the balance. We told him no and he left very rudely. For some of the materials we needed to complete our project, Ben was unwilling to give us a list and preferred we pay him for them since he already had some. We told him that we felt more comfortable with store receipts, so we knew exactly how much each material cost and he became even more rude. Ben was hardly at our house to complete work. He would drop off his coworker since apparently, he didn’t have a car and pick him back up. The day Ben would be at our house to work he mostly stayed in his truck. At one point, Ben brought someone new into our house without even introducing him or telling me he was going to proceed with that action. My husband was working day shift at the time. Therefore, I was home by myself with people inside that I did not know. I could write more negative things about this company, but I don’t want to write a book. My husband and I are very respectable honest hardworking people and this company has been the WORST experience. Please, do not hire. Ben there Done that is very unprofessional and the work that was completed was done wrong. Thank you.

Ben was awesome! He made sure everything was exactly what I wanted in my new bathroom. He even helped with other projects I had around the house. Any time I had questions he made sure to explain exactly what he was doing and was very friendly. He is the only person I’ll be calling when I need work done in the future!
