Not well. Three years after repair the new cap failed. It is cracked and pieces of cement have fallen off. I called Best Chimney back, thinking they would do something about it. Well they would. They would do the work over for the same price I paid the first time. They did not even acknowledge that it was their work that was falling apart. I did not hire them a second time. Still looking for a reputable company to do the work.

I relied on the 4-5 star ratings on Home Advisor when selecting them. I regret it because I spent $4,800 on work that had to be redone by someone else. <br />   <br /> BBCR didn't do what they said they were going to do - that is, patch my skylights and seal them.  The work that they did do was done so poorly that water began dripping into the house the first (and every) time snow melted or it rained after they completed the job.  An independent inspector report confirmed inadequate workmanship with photography:  flashings unsealed, nails not fully seated and sub-par connection work on new roof tiles that they put in. I had been told I?d get copper flashings; instead they were aluminum colored on one side to look like copper.  I had agreed to having the north side of the roof redone; instead they only did the portion between the skylights.  And the list continues.  I ended up having to replace the entire roof immediately by another qualified company to avoid further damage inside.   <br /> Although I haven't paid in full, I overpaid by at least 2 thousand dollars based on labor and materials estimates that would cover the cost of the work done.  I was willing to split the difference to be fair.  The owner wouldn't meet with me or accept responsibility for his work. He indicated several times in phone calls that his lawyer would contact me to discuss it (which didn't happen), and wouldn't give me the lawyer's name to negotiate a settlement.   <br /> I don't understand how this company could get a 4-5 star rating if the work they did on my roof is representative of what they usually do unless they "bought" the ratings.  I hope that this will help prevent what happened to me from happening to someone else.    <br />
