Using Best Cost Movers was a drastic mistake and the "move from ****"! A representative never came out to evaluate how much me had to move. I'll never make that mistake again because the move took much longer than anticipated. I had told the representative what I thought would be moved and then reconsidered and added more to be moved. The movers showed up an hour late because one of the men had over-indulged the night before. The movers did not reattach the top to our heavy butcher block kitchen table. When we tried to move it later, we found out it had never been attached. A terrible accident could have happened. They left us to buy and reattach the table top ourselves because the movers had lost the the screws. There was some damages from the move: bent pole lamp, broken off drawer knob, scratched top of small table and a missing part to a torchiere lamp that has left us with having to unplug it to turn it off. The movers also brought over a large bookcase we had requested to be left behind. Not sure if they returned it for the buyers or not? To speed up this long move-in, my two sisters and I helped by slicing open plastic wrapped furniture and folding discarded blankets. We are all in our seventies and did a great job with no accidents! They movers kept trying to persuade us to sign the release form so they could be paid. We refused until we had time to look over our possessions. They did not call us back for at least a month. I thought they were going to not charge us for the move. Then we find out that Best Cost Movers had charged our credit card without us signing the release form! We immediately called our credit card co. and alerted them about the problem. We made a deal with Best Cost Movers and paid them less than had been discussed. I wish we had paid them even less. Please! do not use Best Cost Movers!

We had a large five bedroom home with a media room and more boxes than you can imagine going to Nashville Tennessee. These guys knocked it out of the park! I mean wow, these guys are true professionals and really know their craft. Eric is very meticulous and detailed oriented with his estimates, at the end coming up with a binding price which we truly loved. If you read the horror stories out there about long-distance moves and people‘s belongings being held hostage for higher prices at the end then you’ll know what I mean when I say binding price points are very comforting. Thank you again Eric, and thank you to the amazing staff and their truly astonishing work ethic. We couldn’t be happier and we will refer you out to everybody we can!

They were wonderful. I was so stressed about the the move. Anthony, Drew, and Billy made it a breeze. They came on time and worked hard and non stop.. They packed up the truck, moved to the new place, set everything up......it couldn't have been easier. Also, they were extremely careful with my fragile items. I would definitely hire them again and I would definitely recommend them.

Juan & Jason were very professional & friendly. They were there at the quoted time & got to work immediately. They advised us of exactly what they were going to do & did it in a timely manner. Even though the 3rd mover did not show, the job was still completed on time. Eric was also very pleasant to talk with. We will be using them again. Also, the price was very reasonable.

I went with Eric and his company because he was one of the only companies that I received a quote from that doesn't mix loads and take forever to deliver. The business model of utilizing the same staff for the entire scope of work is fantastic, and I have to say these are some very trained men and they really know their skill set. These guys were amazing! On moving day, Blue, the crew leader, arrived and cheerfully introduced the four men who would be doing the move. He also announced his intention to beat the estimate I was given. After a quick but thorough review of everything they’d be moving, they got right to work. They were all extremely careful with my furniture, using shrink-wrap and pads to protect it. There were lots of oddly shaped pieces and different sized boxes, but they packed each item into the truck like Tetris champions. As the day progressed, the men checked in with me often to make sure I was happy with the way the move was going - which I was. I’m not sure how, but they all seemed to be enjoying the challenge of moving heavy furniture and boxes and doing it efficiently. They would stack boxes I couldn’t even push across the floor, lift the stack, and walk down the stairs without hesitation. When they arrived at the new house, about 45 minutes away, they kept up the same level of energy until everything was reassembled and placed exactly where I wanted it. It was a difficult day for me, but Blue, José, Danny, Alex, and Louis acted like caring friends who were happy to help. One other thing - I forgot that I had hidden an envelope with emergency cash on top of my armoire. I was nowhere around when it fell off, but Jose found me and gave it to me, with all the money inside. I would recommend Best Cost to anyone looking for a positive moving experience. And, yes, they beat Eric’s estimate.

The move was great. Santos and Danny were professional, courteous and you could tell they truly care about the quality of your move - not a SINGLE thing was broken. Eric, the owner, was fair in pricing and was quick to respond to my inquiries. They called the day before to confirm the move time, called the day of the move to inform us they were en route and called when they arrived. The communication was wonderful, especially as we were planning out the move day. If you are looking for a reliable crew that is professional, mindful of your stuff and priced fair, this is the company to go with!

Wow! What a great company! They were early and started as soon as they got at my home. The guys were very nice and worked quickly to pack the moving van. Worked also just as fast unpacking the van and putting my belongings in a storage facility. The owner Eric was very accommodating and easy to work with over the phone. I will definitely be hiring them again, as well as telling all my friends and family about this company! Jose, Dave, and Darryl are the best and are great at their job!

I had a really good experience with Best Cost Movers. The owner, Eric, responded quickly with a quote and walked me through the entire process. On the day of the move, the movers (Jose and Drew) arrived on time, were very fast and efficient, while being extremely careful with my items. They even moved a large treadmill and pulled off a refrigerator swap between properties. To top it off, they kept a good attitude and were polite the entire day. Best Cost Movers is affordable and I’d highly recommend them for your next move.

I found best cost movers on Angie’s list while helping my mother is secure movers to Indianapolis. Thank you Angie’s list, but more importantly thank you best cost movers and Eric for giving us a great price and an even better service. They’re pricing is all inclusive so there’s no garbage at the end, which was really really appreciate it.Santos blue and Drew were the consummate professionals and really really know their stuff. Eric and his company and staff moved me and my family short notice, and they truly knocked it out of the park. The pricing was fantastic, but more importantly they were able to fit me in last minute and there was no Shenanigans and nonsense like I read on the internet about other long-distance movers. His staff are really really good at what they do and they truly care about getting everything there in one piece and in the same way they picked it up. I highly recommend and thanks again Eric.

They moved my mother from Colorado to me here in Chicago, I found them on Angie's List. Seriously an amazing experience, particularly for my mom. They took amazing care of the furniture, they took amazing care of my mom which isn't always easy, most importantly they handled through their concierge service all of the small details that I didn't have time to deal with it my mom couldn't. Be aware of painfully slow service and review buying! In summary: The move took total 8.75 hours include 1 hour of lunch for 70 boxes(mostly small/medium boxes), minimal furniture 2 bed/1 bath move to 1 block away. 3 men were sent but only one was actual mover. Way too many breaks, way too inefficient. It was more like 1.5 men working. I felt so bad for them doing things they don't even know how to. 4.5 hours loading truck, 3.25 hours unloading. The unloading went much faster because I did all the unpacking and assembling of furnitures. Here are details of problems I had with Best Cost Movers; 1. The owner quoted my move as $336. The final bill was $980. They didn't give any range of hours for the estimate. I assumed it would be 3-5 hours as it should for 2 beds 1 bath apt. Eric told me he estimated 6-8 hours afterwards. If I've known that, I wouldn't have booked them. Their cheap rate isn't worth when it takes twice of other movers. 2. The owner said he will call the day before the move for confirmation. I never gotten a call. Nervously called to the owner's cell, the business number, and sent Yelp message around 5:30pm. He sent a message back to me a little over 6:30pm and said everything is fine. 3. Free wardrobes provided were totally pathetic, the bars would barely stay up, packing wasn't easy and of course 4 out of 5 I used didn't stay up when unloaded. 4. As I mentioned above, the movers were painfully slow, taking breaks every 30-40 min, for 10-15 min all three together. They were smoking and eating during the breaks and was not efficient when they were working. For example, two would be wrapping up the mattress and one would just hand out next to them. Also, forgot a cabinet in the old place, they walked back to my old apt to get it. They blamed on heavy boxes for the slowness but it was only handful of book boxes that was heavy. 5. Lastly, the worst part was Eric, the owner came across pleasant at the booking. Since any of issues occurred, he would not listen and just be rude. He tried to buy out my yelp review for $77. Not a right way to run a business.

We used Best Cost Movers for a July move from a 3-Flat to a large condo building. They were available to be booked only a few days out and they provided a good service at a very reasonable price. There were two young men that handled the move and did a great job. They were experienced movers and were able to get everything into the apartment without anything being damaged – even a large sofa in a corner apartment. Eric was very accommodating and takes pride in the service he offers.
